Calling all SMART DISERS! Am I getting a discount?

Okay, the Dbf and I are planning on upgrading to an AP before check in at our hotel with our GAD tickets (am I correct in assuming that these will be worth the price of a one day base ticket if I upgrade them after they are used?)

Our travel dates are 5.13 - 5.24 (11 nights)

We are staying at POP Standard room and have added the Basic DP (TS, CS, Snack)

The price for room and DP quoted to us was $1749.92 (declining travel insurance).

Is this a good deal? We're not above having to buy a one day ticket and using that for an AP upgrade if one of the other promotions works out in our favor. We adore the DP and would really like to keep it if possible.

The current spring room only offer for Pop standard, for your dates, is $957. The DDP for 2 adults for 11 nights is $923.78. That total being about $1880. Sounds like you might be getting a deal, especially since you are adding the DDP without having to buy a 1 day ticket. Hmmm, I wonder where my extra $130 is... because I don't have insurance on the numbers either.

Did your quote come with an AP rate?

Yep, that's the AP rate for this time period (Jan - Jun Passholder Dining 4 + Nights)

Just did it on the AP and normal site, here's what I got:
Rack rate package: $2467.24 (note: had to add a one day ticket to get package)
AP rate package: $1749.92

Looks like a deal to me

Edit: To be complete, here are the other 2 GP offers
GP rate package: $2055.46 (note: had to add a one day ticket to get package)
$300 GC offer package: $2784.60 (note: had to add a 5 day ticket to get package)

You could do a split stay for the GC offer to get 2 gift cards, but then you'd have to buy another 5day pass per person!!

He said that was the AP rate quoted. It's just hard because I'm seeing 40% off of value hotel room rates floating around on some websites, but I don't have an AP yet, so I can't see what the different discounts online are.

I haven't seen 40% for a VALUE... it's been the deluxes with that high of a % off. Us lowly value visitors only get 20-30% .
