Wearing those in the marathon are ya? Sounds like a risky move to me, but fashion over form so I understand!

I do my long walks on Sunday. Last Sunday I did 6 miles in 91 minutes. This Sunday it has me dropping back to 4 miles. I am hoping to increase my pace on Sunday if I am feeling back to normal.

I do my long walks on Sundays too. That is my outdoor day. I go to Spring Grove Cemetery. www.spriggrove.org . I like that there are measured trails, and few cars to deal with. My plan is to do my long walk tomorrow since I will be out of town over the weekend. I may just have to bring my outdoor clothes and find a place for my long walk while I am away.

Hi Christine!

All of the screen-printed bands are made from wicking fabric They will be
$5 each and I can definetly do a magenta band with a lime green tiara. I
will actually be a vendor at the packet pick-up of the Princess Marathon so
to save on shipping I can always just bring them so you can pick them up
there. Up to you. Let me know your thoughts and I can get working on your
order.

Christine, if you have an account to buy stuff, then you have the same account when people send you money. It's easy - if i sent you $5, you get an email from paypal telling you i sent you the money (and it shows my mailing addy), and then it stays in your paypal account. Til you need to buy something.
So, i can do either. Some people prefer the paypal that's all.. but what ever you are most comfortable with. I can very easily drop $5 in the mail too..

I am taking it easy this week (after my full) and then right back into it for the Princess 1/2. I figured out my schedule and I am supposed to have a 10 miler this weekend but I think I might forego that (heck I just did 26.2 last weekend - I think 10 miles of that should go toward my long run this weekend!! LOL) After that it seems I have a 10 miler planned for the next Saturday. I have to look at my schedule again and see if that is right. I should look back at my training records before my 1/2 in Nov and compare what I did for training then.

Everyone is doing great on getting those miles in. Especially those that are in the FRIGID north. BURRRR

So sorry to hear about your nana passing, but hope that you can find peace that she is resting now. My thoughts are definitely with you and your family.

I have been back out on the road finally after having the flu and now have my orthotics to help my wonky legs! Been very anxious to get back into it and managed 6.2 miles today with a couple of road crossing breaks. Should be hitting 10 at the weekend but that might be too much too soon. We'll see

I need to look back and find out more about this pre-run meet!!!!

Hey ya'll I'm back from WDW Marathon weekend and did a great Half!!!

I'm up for a meet at POR!! Wishers did that last May before the Minnie. I would say maybe around 4:30pm or 5PM. With the meet this weekend it was at 4:30 and by the time everyone was there and talking and then taking a group photo it was almost 5:30. After that people could stay and eat or if they have an ADR they could leave and go there!!

Ok, We need to decide on a pre-race meet.

How about at Riverside Mill at Port Orleans Riverside?
They have a make your own pasta bar. Perfect for pre-race.


So, i would say suggest perhaps a 5:00 pm time? How does that sound to everyone? This would be for Sat. night.

For those not staying at POR - you can take transportation to DTD then take a nice boat ride to POR.. or you can take a bus directly to POR from a park.

I can def be there for a little bit as staying POFQ, but think we might head somewhere else for tea so will be there for photo and chatter. 4.30 sounds great for that. Look at your forward planning!!!! very impressive

This is the e-mail message I got from Disney Sports regarding the refund on my Princess after-race party.

Donna,

We will send you a refund for your tickets due to the change in the
party. You will receive a follow up email from us when the refund is
processed.

The reason for the change was that Walt Disney World, as a Company,
cancelled all Pirate and Princess Parties for all of 2009.
