Good morning all. It is very quiet at my house right now. The kids are still in bed since they don't have school and Jim has already left for the station. I have to admit, I would love to stay in bed! We shouldn't be seeing patients at work today, so I will spend the day in the office catchingup on paperwork.

sam - we have 34 kids on that squad. It is huge. We were laughing that it lokked like the poor clown was throwing up cheerleaders! I know - gross! When someone posts the link for this week I will put it up here so ya'll can see! Thanks for watching it!! Oh - what kind of yellow shoes did you get at Target? Were they casual shoes or dress shoes?

sandy - I am probably posting before you because you are still trying to read all my crazy posts from last night! Do ya'll have a holiday today?

To all that have the day off today - I hope you have a great day off!!!!:cool1:

CB - So many hugs to you!!!!  Try to find something that makes you escape stress and embrace it - like reading, a bath, a movie, etc. The reason I say this, is stress can do ugly things to us, and I don't want to see you get sick. There was one year I was under so much stress because my Grandma died unexpectedly (I had my grief, my mom's grief, and especially Stephanie's grief to deal with), I found out I had several medical problems, Katie was getting sick often - it wasn't a good time:sad2: I ended up getting sick, and I broke out with this terrible rash, and other things - it was terrible!!!! So, ever since then I've tried very hard to keep my stress level under control, when I feel it getting out of control. It's hard at first, but you have to think of yourself!!! Remember, whenever you need us, we are always here for you, and this can be one stress relief, but you need to find others. Take care, and when you need hugs, we will always give them!!!:grouphug:
**To answer your question about Stephanie's room - it is pink on top, lime green on the bottom, and between the 2 colors will be a medium blue or white border (it depends on what looks best with her new comfortable)

Karen - A huge congratulations to Emi!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: I can hardly wait to watch the video while I eat my lunch today:goodvibes
**Kevin and Stephanie are off today, but I am open and working. I'm hoping and praying that I have some business today, since many people are off work - that super cold air we had just killed me (no business).

Well, I must get going and get ready for work - have a good day!!

It's snowing again!!! :faint:
I'm so tired of all this snow!!!
I better get the girls outside for their annual snow picture before it all melts - then I'll be complaining that I have no snow:upsidedow

Who's watching The Inaugeration today?
I would like to watch it online at work today, but I do have alot to do today, so I don't know yet.

Well, I gotta go workout, even though I'm not in the mood
Have a good day today!!

Good chilly morning! No snow here, but it is in the 20's!

sandy - I will be seeing patients, so no tv/computer for me. I would like to hear his speech. I guess I will just have to get a recap on the news.

Starting tomorrow I take over the morning carpool fulltime. It's really not a huge deal, I will just end up being at work earlier everyday. There isn't a whole lot to do with 30 minutes at 7:00 am! The other mom will be starting her student teachingout of town, so ... :confused3 It will be fine. Jim has been doing most afternoons, too. It takes alot of planning with all of our schedules! I am still very angry about the whole bus issue! I am so sick of cut backs on our schools! I think they should start by eliminating some administration positions.

See ya'll later!

I had The Inaugeration on all morning and all afternoon - I love watching these type of things. When I first went to college, I went in as a history major, and I really wanted to be one of those historians you see on tv. But, when I knew I would be marrying Kevin, I decided to not do that, because I had no idea where that profession would take me, if it would even take me to tv. So, whenever I can learn more about history, and watch history being made, I love love watching!!!

Karen - Did you school system cut back on bus service? What would happen if you couldn't pick them up, and you had no one to pick them up? How terrible!!!!!
**If you want to watch President Obama's speech, I think you can go to abc.com and see that (go the news section). This is where I watched The Inaugeration yesterday.

Well, I must go get Stephanie up for school - have a good day!!

I don't have to take Sophie :dog: out anymore first thing in the morning, and it's really great!!!!:) She never wants to go out first thing in the morning - I would literally have to pull her out of her cage. So, I finally decided to leave her in there (I started that Tuesday) and she's perfectly fine with that. I really hated taking her out right after being in a warm bed, so I'm thrilled - she's such a good little puppy!!!!!:goodvibes

Well, I gotta go get ready for work - I have a lot to do, and need to get in early today (which is a great thing for me to say in January!!!!). Have a great day today everyone!!!

Good morning everyone.

sandy - they cut back on bus services for special programs. My kids are in Magnhet Schools. They can ride a bus, but it picks up & drops off in a bad neighborhood (the school we are zoned for) and then they would have to walk thru the neighborhood and cross Hwy 98 (5 busy lanes, truck route) probably without a crossing guard (by the time they go thru the neighborhood). So we said nope to that & juggle carpool. Now the school says they can't be on campus after 3pm. It's just a big pain in the ***! It's very frustrating! They offer these great prgrams and then make it nearly impossible to use them! Emi will hopefully be in a special program for high school, but it isn't our district school, so we will have the same problems. Ugh!! I would give up the quality of the program though!

That's funny what you said about Sophie. FiFi won't even lift her head to get up until the sun is up and then it's iffy! James goes out as soon as he wakes up and feeds all 3 dogs, but Fifi won't budge until it's light and warmer!!:rotfl2: Like our 55 pound English Bulldog is some sort of teacup baby!! She's spoiled!

cb - how is your grandpa? how's work? how's Marc doing?

I always love Friday's so much!!!!:goodvibes

Stephanie came home complaining about not feeling well last night, so we'll have to see how she is this morning. I told her that if she doesn't have a fever she's going to school - she didn't seem happy:sad2: Personally, I think she doesn't want to go to school to take a test today, but I didn't tell her that - if I'm wrong I'll hurt her feelings, and if I'm right, then I don't want her altering her fakey ways :upsidedow

Karen- So frustrating about the bus situation!!!!:headache: I would be so annoyed too!!!! I've never know anyone that sends their kids to a Magnet School - can you explain what this is to me, and why your kids go there. I hear about Magnet Schools on the news, but I don't completely understand what they are - I'm very interested!!!

Well, I must go and dye my hair - the greys are taking over:rolleyes:
Have a good day!!

I"m up early this morning because we are going to Indianapolis for the day :car:
We are going to go to a museum downtown and The Indianapolis Motor Speedway museum, and then come home. We are trying to do different things that don't cost much money, and we thought this may be a nice family day.

Well, I need to go take out Sophie :dog: and then get into the shower.
Have a great day today everyone!!

We had a great family day yesterday!!:goodvibes
What was even better was the price of it all - so much cheaper than Chicago. When Kevin and I went to MoSI it cost us $26 for admission and $15 to park. Here it cost us $14 for admission and $3 for parking. Granted we had to pay for gas, but that was only $23 (we filled up before we left home and left there). We just couldn't get over how different the costs were.

Then this is sort of a funny story.
After we went to the Indiana State Museum, we went to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway so we could do the track tour (the girls didn't remember doing this before). When we left there, we were really really hungry - we hadn't eaten since 7:30am and it was now 4pm. We went to the speedways lounge (we were really looking forward to this - great food), but it was dead, and the lady inside said that the girls couldn't eat there anyway because of smoking ordinance that says wherever there's smoking children under 18 can't be present. So we left and went to a restaurant that we've taken the girls before - it's called Union Jacks. We go inside and they say the same thing - by now we are starving!!!!! So we end up at Hooters - okay fine. We all order our food, and when we get our food, my food is barely warm - so I nicely send it back. The waitress apologizes and says that I will get credit for my meal and a new one will come soon - okay fine. So the rest of the family eats their meal, and I finally get mine when they are almost done. I take a bite of it - same way. I had Kevin take a bite, and he said it was cold. I told the waitress to touch it with her finger, and she agreeded that it's cold - she takes the food away. Next the manager comes and says she'll credit us $30, and if we want dessert to let us know. The waitress brings the food back and says that if I want to take it home for later I can, because she's going to throw it away anyway - I said great!!! So than we sit there waiting for my food - and we sit, sit sit, sit and sit, and the waitress comes and says, "Are you ready for your bill?" I said, "No, I haven't received my food yet." She says, "Oh, you still wanted your food? Didn't the manager talk to you?" I said, "Yes, she mentioned a credit, but I assumed I was going to still eat, because I'm hungry. I have a 2 1/2 hour drive home and I'm hungry." (I said this all very jokingly to keep the mood light). She said, "Oh, let me put in the order." Than I thought - I gotta get my kids home, I don't have time to wait again to have it be wrong. So I told her, "No, my kids are getting restless, and we'll just go." She says, "I don't want you to be hungry." I said, "That's okay, I'll just go home and make a sandwich. I have peanut butter - it'll probably be tainted with salmonella, but that's okay." We laughed!!! She leaves to get the bill, and I told Kevin, "We will hit the first drive-thru we can find." So I ended up with 2 McDonald's hamburgers for dinner:rolleyes: I found the whole thing so bizarre - it's just weird that they thought I wouldn't want to eat. I was never mad, and in fact, I was very joking throughout the whole thing - you would think I would want to eat, and not just get the heck out - so weird!!!!

Today I am going to 10am Mass and then going to work for awhile - I have alot to do. Than I have to come home and do alot here - the work never ends:laundy:

Well, I better eat breakfast and get ready for church.
Have a great day everyone!!!

What a cold morning - it's 3 degrees outside :cold:
I'm so glad Sophie is still sleeping :dog:

Yesterday when I went out to my car to go to church and work - it was dead :guilty: I immediately knew it was the battery, but I was home alone, and there was nothing I could do. So when Kevin came home from work, he got a new battery and fixed everything. By this time though, I was so involved with working around the house, that I stayed home - so I have a lot of work ahead of me at work today.

Last night the girls and I went with my friend and her DD to her church for something called KidzBlitz. It was show where that was Bible based, and it had kids come up from the audience to play all these wacky games - it was so much fun!!! Our kids were not picked to play, but they had tons of fun watching other kids.

Well, I need to go workout this morning, because I haven't worked out since last Monday. I have been so bad about working out lately, but I'm so bored with being inside, and the winter always makes me feel so unenergetic. I can hardly wait until the time change!!

Have a good day everyone!!

Ok - so I am on for the moment! I can;t see any pics, everything is out of place, mo smilies. I hate when the computer isn't right!I did some cleanup stuff and I either deleted something important or we have some freaky virus. I will see if my sister will check it out.

sandy - how bizarre at Hooter's. At least you kept your sense of humor!

Yesterday was a very dull day.
The store was dead, so I was able to get a decent amount done:thumbsup2
I'm praying for some business today, but I think many people don't want to go out in this cold :sad2:

Did any of you watch Govenor Blagovich (sp?) on GMA or The View?
He is such an idiot!!! Does he really think that people believe him?! While I ate my lunch, I watched replays of him on abc.com, and I just can't believe this guy. I would be so embarrassed if I was his wife.

Speaking of abc.com - if any of you like Charlie Gibson (I love this guy!!! I could listen and watch him all day - he is so likeable!!) I found that he broadcasts live in the afternoon on abc.com. I'm so excited about this, because I will catch up on my news while I eat my lunch. Watching online is the same as watching on tv - he has interviews and everything - pretty cool!!!

Karen - I"m sorry to hear of your computer problems:badpc:
I hope your sister is able to help you, so you can post easily again soonpixiedust:

Well, I'm off to get Stephanie out of bed - have a great day!!!

It's snowing here again!!! :faint:
I hate winter so much, I can't even begin to explain how much I hate winter!!!

Sam - How is your Grandpa doing? I've been thinking about you - please check in and let us know.

Karen - I miss you - I hope your computer gets fixed soon!!!pixiedust:

I must go workout (not in the mood) - have a good day!!!

I have to gloat for a second.
I've been using Aldis for my main groceries for a awhile now, and yesterday I was so proud of my purchases. I bought a ton of stuff and my total was only $60.91:cheer2: I couldn't believe my ears when the cashier told me - I was so happy!!!! My days of paying to much at Jewel (a local large grocery chain) are over!!! I will still need to go to Jewel for many things that Aldis doesn't have, but for the main stuff - I'm done!! I actually haven't stepped a foot in Jewel since NYE when I picked up Kevin's bday cake. If you have an Aldi's by you, than you need to give it a try. If you have any questions about any of their products, please ask me, and I'll give you my honest opinion.

Well, I'm off to get ready for work, so I can get to work early today - I still have lots to do :thumbsup2
Have a great day today everyone!!!

hi! Ive been very busy with school and midterms, but now that thats over and marc has left for another 2 weeks I feel like I have plenty of time. The other day Marc and I went up to his old station where he did his practicum. They were having a training night, so we went to see everyone. I got to meet a lot of people and that was pretty fun. And on the way home we went to mcdonalds and had mcflurrys. So all in all it was nice to get out and relax after work and school for 8 hours earlier in the day.

Im currently in the process of looking for a new apartment. I think were gonna try to move out into an apartment by ourselves this summer. Were pretty laid back people and its just unnecessary drama. yuk! Ill try to commute to davis from a neighboring town thats pretty close. Davis is just very impacted with the amount of students. The cheapest apartments are at least $800 but take a 10 minute drive to woodland and theyre $600! Plus we always do our shopping in woodland anyway. Im just worried that I'll be alone a lot while marc is away, and thats never fun and a little depressing.

Sandy~ thats story about hooters sure was weird! But at least it sounds like you guys had a fun day.

Karen~ I hope your computer didnt explode on you! Hopefully itll be alright. I hate having to fix major problems with computers. My roommate was fixing some things on one and ended up replacing everything so that its ended up being a brand new one.

I had more employee issues yesterday.
That same employee that made me mad last time did it again yesterday. She calls me 3 hours before she has to work and says that her mom made her a doctors appt, and she can't work:eek:. I was so mad, because I had a appt. with my accountant last night, and now I couldn't go:headache:. I told her that she only works 9 hours a week, and she never works on MWF - why couldn't her mom make an appt. for one of those nights?. She does have medical issues, but she isn't "sick". She said her mom knew she was working, but made the appt anyway. I was SO mad:mad:!!! Her mom trying calling her off once before, so her DD could "catch up" on homework after being sick, and I told her NO WAY!!! I told her that when I hired her DD that she must be here when scheduled, unless she has the flu or an uncontrolable situations - like a death in the family. Calling off to do homework is unacceptable, and she has a responsibility to be here, or she should not have a job - she did come in that night, and said she didn't know why her mom did that, because she barely had any work (I knew she wouldn't, or shouldn't, because she had the whole weekend prior to do the work - I felt that if she didn't do it, then that's not my problem). Since then, there's been other times that something like this has happened, and it always happens when I have plans. Plus, there's been other incidents where she's come in late, or didn't come in at all. I told her this is her last chance, and if this happens again, then she needs to look for another job:mad:!!!!!

CB - So good to see you!!! :)
Good luck looking for a new apartment - I hope you find something greatpixiedust:
How is your grandpa doing? I'll continue keeping him in my thoughts and prayers:angel:

Karen - :wave2:

Well, I'm must go get ready for work, because I have to go see my accountant at 9am now - Katie is not happy!!!:sad2: I promised her yesterday morning that she could sleep in today, and now she can't. I hope my employee, and her mother, understand that she is not only disrupting my life, but other people's too.

Well, I gotta run - have a good day!!

I'm SO glad it's the weekend!!!!:)

My employee is suppossed to work today, and I'm curious if she'll come in. If she doesn't come in, then she's done, if she does come in, then I'm hoping she really tries to be a better employee. I guess we'll soon find out what happens.

Well, I best jump in the shower and get ready for my day - lots of errands to run today.
Have a great day everyone!!!

I hope you all had a good Saturday!!! :goodvibes

I couldn't get over how many people were out and about yesterday.
We went to the post office, and it was busier than Christmas time.
We went to the bank, and we waited in a huge line at the drive-thru.
We went to the library, and could barely find a parking place - it was packed.
Lots and lots of people!!!!!

At the library I got Pirates of the Caribbean @ World's End soundtrack, for my car, and I love it!!!! I also got the soundtrack to The Princess Diaries 2, for my car - I'm looking forward to listening to it :) I really wanted to get myself Harry Potter, but I don't have time to read it right now - maybe next time:thumbsup2

Today I have a lot to do around the house - dusting, vaccumming, and some laundry. I would also like to continue going through things for the garage sale we are having in the spring. You would not believe the amount of boxes that I have now that are filled  So, I'll keep myself busy today:thumbsup2

Well, I better go and start thinking about breakfast.
Have a great day today!!!
