Calling all Chicago DISers #3

This is the last day of spring break:guilty:
This weekend is back to studying for Stephanie - she will not be happy:sad2:

I did email Dan yesterday, but I have not heard a response.
He may not since he did the update on the CB, but if he does, I will let you know.

DG - I would be so creeped out too :scared: I'm glad he didn't follow you to work :scared1:Be careful today, and watch your surroundings to make sure he isn't still watching you.

Mac - :wave2:

momto1 - Katie has not come down with this, which makes me think even more that it's the eggs. Granted, Katie could still come down with this, but I really don't think it will happen {{fingers crossed}}

geffric - Thanks for the link!!!!:)

I need to eat my grapefruit and get ready for work - TGIF!!!
Have a good day!!!

Good Morning Everyone. thanks for the concern, i took a different route to work today. No creepy guys today!
i sure am glad today is friday. i need a couple of days off.

Hope everyone has a nice day!

Are you all ready for the crappy weather we are going to get :cold:
I'm so not in the mood for snow - AT ALL!!!:sad2:

DG - I"m glad you had no creepy guys approach you today:)

I'm off to get ready to run my errands today.
Have a great day everyone!!!!

good saturday morning chicagoland homies....

yes geffric, 5 to 8 inches of it starting later tonight. :drinking:

Hey all. Started some packing (more like having the kids try on their shorts to see what still fits.:rolleyes1) and taking a break to check in. Been very busy with work stuff. We are getting ready to roll out a new computer charting system and I am one of the Master Trainers. So, lots to do to get ready. We start training co-workers the week I return home.
Mac, please feel free to keep all of the snow up by you!:snooty:It is quite enough around here without adding insult to injury and snowing!
Glad to hear Dan is home and feeling a bit better. Hope he continues to recover, rest and do well.
Slo, hope the girls are Ok now. Food poisoning can really be scarey.
Bunchkin, any new news on your MIL. HOpe all is well.
thanks to momto1 and geffric for your camping ideas.
hersey, glad your car troubles are resolved.
Everyone else, a quick hello and hope you are having an uneventful restful weekend.
Off to pack some more and do some :laundy:

Hi gang! Well since the DIS board work last weekend, I now am able to post from home. That's good because I always felt left out on the weekends!

How can there be a wintor storm advisory when it is officially spring? I hope the weather people are wrong!

Tiggern - We are starting to pack, too. I think tomorrow will be our day to get more organized. I have a very busy week at work and need to get this pretty much out of the way.

Slo - Hope you got your errands done. I did some today, too, and am glad they are done.

Tomorrow I head to Central IL for a baby shower for my youngest cousin's wife. They are having a girl and we haven't had a girl born into our family for 41 years! I loved, loved, loved shopping for girl things. I felt like I was dressing a doll! DS is not wild about going to the shower but he will get to be with all his boy cousins since that is all he has!

I'll see you all Monday!
Lori

Good morning!

Yuck snow! I thought if I went back to sleep when I woke again it would go away. I think I need to go back to sleep it didn't work yet. :rotfl2:

I hope all is well with all of you. I need to get the laundry done. Alex is done with spring break and needs clothes for tomorrow.

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: When Mike dropped me off at home at about 11pm it was raining. I was all excited thinking we were going to get lucky and the snow would pass us.... yeah, i was definitely wrong:sad2: I should have known better:laughing: Anyway, staying home most of the day today! I'm gonna play on photoshop and see what i can come up with for stuff for the wedding (placecards, table numbers, etc) I doubt I'll actually get anything done. I'm too indecisive!

Well, hope everyone has a wonderful day! Stay warm! :goodvibes

Stopping by to say thanks for the good wishes, prayers, PM's, emails this past week. Much appreciated.

Been home now for a couple days, doing better. A follow up at cardio office tomorrow to get/wear a heart monitor for about a week, to make sure nothing more is going on. It sure was an eventful three days last week. :faint:

Again, thanks everyone here in the Chicago group, what a nice bunch of folks!!!! :goodvibes

Dan I'm glad you are feeling better. I hope you continue to do well. I am sure your family is glad also.

]Dan, glad you stopped in to let us know how you are doing.
Stay healthy!!

so far, we have 8 inches of snow and it is still snowing.
it's that wet heavy stuff. the type that is so hard to shovel.... ugh......

and it will all be gone during the week when the temps rise. :yay:

have a good one today homies...

Dan I'm glad you are feeling better. I hope you continue to do well. I am sure your family is glad also.

thanks for stopping by Dan.. glad you are feeling better.. still take it easy and have your son do the shoveling today..

SNOW!! Unbelieveable!! SNOW!! we have about 6-7 inches of very wet heavy snow.. YUCK..

Hi, Dan. Glad to hear you are feeling better. Mind that tape they put on you for those portable monitors. It can be a bear to take off/and leaves nasty red streaks if you are sensitive. I would suggest a good trimming first. ;)
Mac, I specifically asked you to keep the snow at your house!:rotfl2:At least we only got about an inch and it is now melting away. I can see the grass again. Confused the dog all to pieces!:rotfl:
DG, happy playing on photoshop.
hersey, I like your return to bed idea. I think I'd like to do the same. Someone come here and pack for me, please.:rolleyes1
momto1, you ready to go yet? My kids could go (although no undergarments in the suitcase yet), but us adults have nothing in the case. Just can't decide what to take along.
Hi geffric, have a great day.
Slo, Bunchkin, ID, piglet, paint, crissup, CarolAnnC and everyone else, please have a great, safe and warm day today. It will be better tomorrow!:goodvibes

Hi all!!

DH's mom is out of the nursing home, early. She convinced the doctor to release her but he's making her go every day to the hosp. to get an IV with the meds she needs to further clear up this infection she has. She says she's feeling much better but still says she's too weak to drive herself any where. I think that she's taken a liking to being chaufeured around every where.
DH says he's going crazy! Both his parents are acting like little kids, which I reminded him is what happens sometimes when people get old!!
He says they constantly ask him what he's doing and follows him around the house, and any time he is going out they plead to go with!! Yep, sounds like our own kids!! :teeth:

DD's Math Bee is this Tuesday!! And DS is in a musical on Thursday!
It's animal themed and his class is going to be river otters. They have to wear brown. The only brown shirt he has is a Pirate of the Carribean shirt that has a scary skull with flames!! Not sure if he should wear it!! ;)

Dan Glad your doing better and at home. Your situation sounds similar to the mine. How long will you wear the monitor?

Sorry to all of you who got a lot of snow!!! It mostly rained here yesterday and started snowing over night. Only got a dusting and now it's all gone!!! :woohoo:

I just got done cleaning up after dinner, Sophie is sitting on my lap, and I thought I would check in and say "HI" :wave2:

What a yucky day today :cold:
The only benefit of today is that it kept us home and I got some work done around the house. Now that my work is done, I'm going to go watch tv :happytv:

TTTTTTTTig - Good luck with the training - I hope it goes smooth :wizard:

momto1 - I hope you had fun at the baby shower :cutie:

HERSEY - I was hoping the snow would go away too, but it just kept coming down:guilty:Thank goodness it didn't stick!!

DG - Did you come with anything you like on the computer?:surfweb:

Dan - Thanks for stopping by and keeping us updated on how you are doing  We will continue keeping you in our thoughts and prayers :grouphug:

Mac - You have to shovel?! :eek:I'm so sorry :guilty:

geffric - Did you have to shovel too? Luckily, we didn't have to shovel.

Bunchkin - I"m glad Tony's mom is doing better, that is good news!!!!:)
**Good luck to Lauren with her math bee this week - she'll do great!!!!:wizard:
**Good luck to Hunter also - he'll be great!!!!:wizard:

Well, I gotta run and get Sophie outside, so we can veg in front of the tv:happytv:

Have a good night everyone!!

Yesterday, Kevin accidentally put a steak knife in the dishwasher pointed up, and it stabbed the palm of my hand - Ouch!!!! It hurt yesterday, but it hurts alot worse today, and it's in a place that is always going to split open, and it's in a bad place for a band-aide. I'm not to happy about it:sad2:

Mac - I just saw news footage from Gurnee about the snow you received:eek: I hope it doesn't take that long to melt:wizard:
**Thanks for the listings :)

Spring break is now over, which means Stephanie will not be happy this morning:mad:(her face). She was already starting to complain about going back to school on Saturday:rolleyes: She should be a real joy this morning

Have a good day!!!

Hi gang! So glad the snow is gone! Mac - is your snow gone yet since it seems like you might have gotten the most?
