you are going further north this month in wisconsin............you are brave.

I 90 was closed yesterday for about 6 hours due to the bad road conditions in wisconsin. black ice and many accidents.

I'm excited. Alton Brown is coming to the Museum of Science & Industry. I was able to get tickets this morning. I was on hold for 15 minutes though. Thank goodness for cell phones and using long distance that way. I just kept thinking this is like trying to get a table at Cinderella's! Always a Disney connection everywhere.

My DD will be estatic as she really wanted to go see him.

If you don't know him -- he's from the Food Network and basically is on there all the time. He is always explaining some scientific way why you should do something this way or that way.

Short week for us this week!! Woo Hoo we only have 1/2 day on Thursday, then no school Friday or Monday. Works for me.

momto1 -- I've always wanted to go to the Hearts at Home conference but I'm not that close & the timing never seems to work out well. I keep waiting for my kids to get older so I could do a weekend away (but by the time they all get bigger I won't need to go to that conference. ).

I can't believe it is snowing again outside. Yes I know it's winter but I've had enough.

Way to go on the Alton Brown tickets. I wanted to go to Alton Brown, too. I saw that last week. But... I will by on my way to Disney!!

I only go to the Hearts at Home conference for the day on Saturday. I will leave the Joliet area about 6:30 am on Saturday if you want to ride along. I meet a girlfriend about 8:15 and we make a day of it. I leave for home right after the conference. It sure would be nice to stay overnite but...

becky Congrats on getting tickets tp see Alton. I showed DD MSI's web site last week and how Alton would be there. She loves that crazy guy's show!!!
But there is no way I wanted to pay all that moola for 4 tickets. Got too many other things going on.

momto1 -- I don't even know the exact dates this year but I'm pretty much booked up until middle of April it seems right now. We couldn't even find a time for me to go over to my brother's to celebrate my niece's birthday So...we (I?) just decided to do that at Easter and celebrate both my niece & DD's birthday -- I figure we should add my dad in too. My niece's bd is March 3, my dad's March 9 and my DD's March 10.

I just got a Magically Speaking newsletter and it mentions a rumor that they are planning on opening a boutique at Disney Hollywood Studies similar to BBB but for older girls -- they can be made up like Hannah Montana, Sharpay or Gabriella from High School Musical. Sounds good to me!!! Although, somehow I see myself parted with more $$$$$ if this opens.

I'm so not happy with this snow. DD was at play practice but then I took her over to gymnastics. I have to go back out in this in about an hour. YUCK!!!!

Evening all. Busy weekend here. Worked all weekend and a few hours today. Making that extra money for those 2 Disney trips much to DH overwhelming sorrow. I am still going with or without him in August. The Beach Club is calling my name. Extra bed. Anyone?

Paint, I did smell like a choc. chip while working out. So sorry if I derailed anyone's diet plan. Did you have a good turn-out for your parties. I have a few LS items. I do like them, but in my line of work, don't have much opportunity to wear much of it.
Bunchkin, when is the AG sale this year? Did you have to get tickets already to get an early time in? No luck getting the day off the 18th. We will have
to plot for a play date over spring break.
DMM, hope Roman does well with the surgery (and the pre-op testing) He's already been through so much for a little guy.
Well, I think I will turn in early tonight. Been burning that candle at both ends lately. Could use a good night's rest.

DMM - Try to not be to scared about Roman's surgery Both of my kids have been through it (Katie at 8months) and they both did great In fact, today Stephanie is seeing her ENT about having her one tube surgically removed - she's not happy!!!!
**How has Roman been since having the RSV? Is he still on a nebulizer?

Thanks, he's just on an inhaler now, when he gets himself too worked up. Oh wow, I can't believe they are going to do that to Stephanie! Hope all goes well.

Found out today that my Mom's surgery will be on Friday. They were not able to get the MRI done, so they will just go ahead without it. I don't think I shared it here, but she was diagnosed last month with Stage 2 Breast Cancer.

Stephanie had her ENT appt last night, and he agreeded with our Pediatrician that Stephanie's tube needs to be surgically removed . I was so happy that he said that, because she's so tired of her ear draining, and taking this tube out should stop that (fingers crossed). We scheduled the surgery for next Friday - the 22nd

Thanks to all for their kind words about Stephanie getting her ears pierced I will have to show these posts to her, they will make her so happy!!!!


momto1 - I know you feel about the temp being cold on Monday. I turn my heat down in the store way down on Saturday, and then Monday it's so cold all day. It doesn't matter how many layers I have on, I'm still freezing

Bunchkin - My girls seem to need to remind me about my chores too But then when I remind them to pick up their toys, or clean their room, I get an arguement

Mac - I feel so bad that weather is always worse by you

slo I hope Stephanie's surgery is an easy procedure!
You know I've heard that turning down your furnace too low and then having it try to get up to the right temp again actually takes more energy then leaving it a slightly lower temp then normal. I spend too much time around contractors I think!!


Tiggerrn Extra bed huh?? Do you think your DH will want you and the kids go alone if he doesn't want to go to WDW?
Play date during spring break will work for us.
American Girl benefit sale is Saturday July 19. The tickets don't go on sale until May. Sunday there is a sale as well that requires no ticket, it's just that most of the popular stuff will be gone by Sat.
It's a really fun time! There are other things going on there too. Raffles, contests, and a tent sale that requires no ticket. Soooo much stuff to look at!!

Kids are off today, but I still have school! They are being sent to friends' houses- I wouldn't dare send them to the same friend's house. They are way too much to handle together!
bonzarella- I know. the snowdays are good, but I fear they will creep into my honeymoon soon!
momto1- Never been to Hearts at Home, although lots of my mommy friends have. If you come down, we should meet up! A mini-DIS meet!
slo- Haven't been to Ed's in years and years. Ds would begreat to bring with. he is a ham and really egss people like that on!
Bunchkin- It wasn't TS. We just ate lots of it! Asiago Ch dip, Spinach and Herb, and the poundcake.
piglet- So sorry to hear about your mom!

Lia Sophia party was okay. I had a few people, who had said they were definitely coming, not show up. that bugs me. We waited around for them, too! Anyway, it was a good weekend, but busy!
Bought Dfiance's wedding band yesterday, as well as a nicenecklace for dd. I think I am going to get a pocket watch (engraved) for ds. Not much choice for boys and for some reason he really wants one?!? They are going to be giftsd for them before the wedding.
Gotta' go drop the kids off and head to class.

The hospital 'rented' us one! haha but they never charged us. They were really great about everything. Right after I had Roman and needed a breast pump but had no clue what to get they loaned me the one I had in the hospital for a week until I could get to the store. Great people over there!

I'm going to go head out now to IHOP as today is free pancake day. It's to benefit the Children's Miracle Network. You can get a free short stack I believe it's until 10 PM. So, I'm taking my little guy out to lunch there. I know it will be packed but I'm hoping by going now it will beat the lunch crowds. We shall see.

Then off to Wal-Mart to see about buying more fabric (I've gone on a fabric binge lately!!!!! ).
