Dreams do come true!! I got the magical call yesterday inviting me to join the panel and I’ll be answering questions for WDW. Still doesn’t feel real yet! This was my fifth year applying.

Congrats that is so exciting! Hope it is a wonderful experience. I'd love to hear if you feel like you did things different this year, or if each year you felt equally confident about your answers and application and it was just about finding the right year for your talents and personality to fit on the panel.

Once again congrats! So fun to see someone we "know" get through!

I'd love to hear if you feel like you did things different this year, or if each year you felt equally confident about your answers and application and it was just about finding the right year for your talents and personality to fit on the panel.

When I look back on my first two applications, I think I tried to write what I thought they wanted to hear. My last three applications I focused more on my personal experience and stories instead of what I thought they might want (I realize this is realllly hard in 100 words) and made sure my writing (and what I said in my video) was really conversational. I spent a lot of time reading my answers/video script out loud to test that and edit.

That said, I think my last three applications were all strong/similar, so I do feel like when it’s your year, and they need someone like you, it just happens. Your application is likely perfect as it is! I think many “perfect” applications don’t make it every year.

So I think I may know what answer I get from this group... But is it nuts to take a short trip soon to keep my WDW eligibility for next year? It's also a chance to say (a hopefully not final) goodbye to muppetvision

I got a really good deal on the room and the flight prices right now are fantastic... But I could just apply for Disneyland instead even though I see WDW as my home park

I have learned the hard way that going isn't always an option (I am a caretaker to both my husband and my elderly mother)
When I was younger, we went all the time and now it seems that kind of flexibilty to just up and travel isn't in the cards for me.
I know this sounds cliche, but do it while you can. I NEVER thought my life would be as limited as it is right now.
