i love your pictures. they are so good!

and of course i remember you!

Mac - I read your post on that thread, and it is absolutly okay for you to ask people to join us:) . Many won't though, because then they'll have to be part of the, dare I say it, a clique thread that they are so against:headache:

Well, I'm off to do something at work to warm up
Have a good rest of the day today!!

Slo:
clique threads do not invite newbies.
clique threads do not set out the welcome mat.
clique threads do not encourage others to join in.

my point is, you can lead a horse to water but can't make him drink.
i sincerely invited any reader to stop by and say hi.
i'm not begging people, just letting it be known we are a friendly group that likes to help others.

we are not a clique thread, just a group of people that live a section of the midwest where it snows too much.
heck, most of us don't even live in the city!

Afternoon all. Too much staff on today so I got sent home early.:cool1:
Becky and Paint's DD Hope you both had a blast at HSM on Ice. The sun is wonderful and it is only freezing here right now, not below.:rotfl2: :lmao: Imagine that !!!!!!!
Just wanted to stop in quick to say howdy. Gonna take that trouble-making pooch out for a walk, since I can handle "just freezing".
Hope you are all having a great weekend.
Welcome all you new folks. Great to have you all aboard.

Tigg You should swing by and pick up my 2.

I couldn't agree with you more - I hate the word "clique" it makes my skin crawl:scared: I'm so sick and tired of these folks calling us cliques, I could scream!!! I thought your post on that "against cliques" thread was very sincere ::yes:: But like you said, just because you invite, doesn't mean they will come. Oh well - they are missing out. Because we are an awesome group!!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Carol is doing much better thank you for asking! I am back to work, but truly am exhausted. I have cut down on my internet time during the weekdays in hopes of not wearing myself out. Trying to get enough sleep and make it through the full work days. Our commutes have been lengthened over the past week with the weather issues, too.

But I am hoping to get back into my regular routine and post more frequently here.

I thought you all might be interested in this "long thread" update from Webmaster Alex. This is what he has to say....

The experiment with removing the long threads surprised even us! As you can see the boards are flying and there were no other changes made. Because of that we need to find a way to deal with this issue. We want to see what happens on Monday, which traditionally is our busiest day of the week.
I want to assure everyone that we will be bringing back the posts in those threads, we just need to work out the best way to do that and keep the performance of the boards where it is now.
In the mean time please feel free to start a new thread.
Alex

So I leave and go to WDW for a long weekend and find that you all have moved..:confused3 WOW what excitment!!! anyway I found you and I am back...

Great picture Laurabearz.. looks like you had fun..

We were at WDW for MLK weekend.. celebrating our anniversary but also the high school choir was there.. to sing at WDW and have a good time. the boys made sure that they showed the choir around .. yep the boys were happy campers.. lots of girls and them..

I wrote a long version of the trip but it got lost in cyberspace.. so the short of it is Dh and I had a great time..Friday night the boys went to epcot and I went to DTD to go to Wolfgang pucks for a salad and then to Ghiradelli for dessert.. The Wolfgang Puck in DTD is closed but I walked to the west side and ate the BBQ chicken salad there... then back to Ghiradelli ...
Saturday Dh and I went to AK. did safari, lion king, bird show, Yak and Yedi for lunch, Nemo, Everest for me and Tough to be a bug for Dh.. then he want to go back to OKW and rest, i stayed and did EE again and watched the parade. Then hopped to MK. Had ice cream there and met DH - we did Haunted Masion, Philaharmagic and laugh floor then it was raining and cold so we went back to OKW. Kids stayed with the Choir kids and "hung out"
Sunday Dh and I went to MGM - did Beauty and the Beast, fast passed TT, did Great Movie ride and then hopped to MK to see the Choir perform. After that We took the boys to lunch at peco bills and then they left to be with "friends'.. Dh and I went to Tiki room and but the lines were so long for everything.. even Country Bears and TTa and Carousel of Progress.. it was worse than in the summer.. so we left and went back to OKW and rested and got warm jackets.. it was cold. Brough jackets for the kids too they were in Tshirts and shorts and it was about 30 degrees.. We headed back to MK about 6ish and the crowds were less.. after Wishes the crowd really thinned out and everything was walk on until 2 am..

Monday DH and I went to Epcot. We fast passed Soarin and did living with the land and Timon and Pumba thing before our fast pass time.. We then went and did Figment, and the Oh Canada movie before our ADR at Le Cellier. The boys met us for lunch. we all had the cheese soup and the fillets. The fillet as on a squash thng not the nornal cheesey potaotes.. good but not great.. then the boys left to join their "friends" and DH and I walked to MGM. We did muppets, TT, Indy and Star Wars and Little Mermaid. The we saw Fantasmic and ran for a boat to Epcot. At Epcot we did Spaceship earth and Illuminations.

On Tuesday we made the likd saty with us .. did Crystal Palace for lunch, Buzz, TTA, Space mountian, Philharmagic, small world and then we left..

Great trip.. Kids loved being their with friends.. we loved that too.. This is the last family trip for years ... boys won;t be going back for a long long time but I am hopping to go in October for F&W ot Dec for Mousefest or November or ???

we really are close.. I am in Palatine.. small world..

Just a quick post -- got back from HSM on ice and didn't even get lost BUT I did take a detour stop to Woodfield mall...which ended up at the Doorway to Dreams store...to which my cell phone died and it was later than I thought. My mom was watching the little one which ended up with her bringing him home and calling the police on me. So, I'm in big fat trouble with my parents right now. I did call to tell them I was at Rainforest Cafe (which took us awhile) and apparently the cell phone died somewhere from the time I checked the time to see how much longer our wait and eating. Luckily, I called from my parents house when I saw the note they had taken my little guy home & nothing much had been done with the police. So, that was my little embarrassing situation of the day.

The show was great!!! We were one of the first people in the parking lot. Our seats were awesome!! We had Section 8, row 5 but I was thinking it was going to be set-up similar to the concert with the section, it wasn't, it was a very small section and the seating was on risers?, so basically it wasn't flat and you didn't have to worry about seeing. We bought lots of stuff, I was bummed though because DD got a shirt, she tried it on after we got home and it's not sewn correctly on the sleeve. There is a hole there, basically it just looks like the machine missed sewing the sleeve on in a spot. They did give us a card that said there was a 2 year guarantee for their products, so I called it. We will see what happens, sounds like they will replace it but I don't know as I've never dealt with that before. I *could* sew it myself but why should I with the amount you pay for just a t-shirt.

The boys didn't do so well at Pinewood Derby. Apparently my oldest's car was on the slowest side. OOPS!

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:
to our latest newbie

LaJones 81

so glad you stopped in.

you'll find more "neighbors" here.
you'll love geffric too!

don't be a stranger and come back more often here

Becky ~ Nathan's goal this year is to win for best scout theme, so speed is not a factor for us. That is too bad though that his car was last.

We had a little party tonight for my nephew. Mat will be reporting tomorrow for Marine boot camp.

I brought coffee this morning

Sounds like we are in for a temporary warm up. I wish it would last, soon I keep telling myself.

Becky I hope your parents forgive you. Cellphone don't always get signals. I have a couple stores that are notorious.

Well I slacked yesterday so I need to got finish the laundry that I just started late last night.
