Yep my dogs can be stubborn about going out when it's pouring too. I have to trick them, and quickly shut the door and stay away from the windows. I have to hide in my own house You have to do what you have to.

I need to get back to cooking my spaghetti or there will be no dinner tonight.

So tomorrow I'm invited to a baby shower that is 3 doors down from me....and I don't want to go!!! And neither does my neighbor friend. We may just bring our gifts over and then leave. The 'mom' has invited so many neighbors which is a total turn off since our subdivision has become gossip central. My neighbor friend and I mainly stick together, along with our other neighbor who is my Tastefully Simple rep, because the rest of the street is like the Jerry Springer show!!! No joke!!!

I like opera, but won't be able to go to Millenium Park. I'm thinking of buying tickets to see Madame Butterfly that will be at a few Kerasotes Theatres. If you didn't know, they are showing a whole series of operas from the Met. Madame B will be out in March.

Hersey We hadn't been to Maggianos since Lauren was really little. It was soooooooo yummy!! And it made for great leftovers the next night!!




I'm waiting for a load of laundry to dry so I can hang up what's in there so the clothes don't wrinkle. I totally forgot I had a load in the wash from earlier this afternoon. I started it before dinner, ate, went to a meeting, then stopped at the store, came home and watched tv with the kids.......

What a beautiful, sunny day today
I wish it were hotter - I would like a couple more days in the pool.
If this cool weather keeps up, we'll be covering the pool soon - there'll be no need to keep paying to run it, and paying for chemicals to keep it clean. I guess summer is over

Tiiiiiiiiiiigern - My big dogs could hold it forever too - it was nice on days like Thursday. Sophie does pretty good too There's only been one time since we've had her, that I've had to get up in the middle of the night to take her outside - so I'm glad about that!!!!!
**You have a nice day to hang up your pool We used to have a pool like yours - it was nice. When we got the pool we have now, we gave it to a good friend, and they still use it today

HERSEY - I had to laugh about you hiding from the dogs I had to do that to with my Lab, but it was all the time. He wouldn't go down the deck stairs, if he saw me in the kitchen. So I would have to stand around the wall, and just peek to see if he would go down

Bunchkin - I forgot about laundry yesterday too, and they were sheets for Katie's bed. I didn't realize it until it was time for them to go to bed, so I told Katie she had to sleep on her sisters floor (her mattress protector was in the laundry too, so that's why I couldn't make the bed with new sheets). Katie was THRILLED with being able to have a "sleep-over" in Steph's room, so it worked out great

**Yes, we are going to MNSHHP when we are WDW. I'm excited about it, but Kevin is not - he was very disappointed in it when we were there last time (I gotta say, I was a little to, because it was more crowded for the party, than it was for normal admission. We thought it was going to be very uncrowded). The girls are excited, and I need to get some costumes for them. We found one for Katie that is a witch costume, where the skirt has fiber-optic lights - how cute!!!!! I don't know what we are going to do about Stephanie
**What a bummer about the baby shower I hope you and the other neighbor can think of a reason not to stay, or to leave early.

Today is our wedding anniversary, and we are going to see the SOX game today! <yeah, I know most of you are Cubs fans, but you know I am a HUGE Sox fan, so I am waayyy excited about this!>

Hello everybody! I read almost every day but very rarely do I post. We had a good Summer. We spend almost the whole time up at our place in Door County. My wife, Pam, is a school bus driver and she stays up there for the Summer and I go up on weekends and vacation days. Now we are back to the grind of school and work. I will try to post a little more on here. I would like to make it to another meet if it's closer to the Wis./ Il. border. Maybe we should have a "Upper Midwest" Dis meet!

We are having another glorious day!!!!
I keep wondering if I should take the girls to the park, and make a picnic lunch As much as I would like to do that, I also need to do some work around the house (working till 7 everyday is taking a toll on the upkeep of the house. The house looks neat to people, but they better not give it the white glove treatment )So I don't know what I"m going to do I'll probably end up staying home, and letting the girls play outside.

HERSEY - Did you end up getting rain? It got a little cloudy by me to, and I thought it would rain, but it never did.

We went to the Milawaukee Zoo again and it was an absolute blast, we are truly in love with this zoo!!

Slo We ended up with some rain sometime late last night. Not during the day. I did my major clean up yesterday. I really need to tackle the basement today. We will see what wins the outdoors are calling me. Maybe a book and the lounge chair is where you will find me.

We had a GREAT time at the Sox game...yep, they won...it took 15 innings!!!...but, they won!!! It was so much fun to be there. <and I did have a hot dog, sorry no stuff on it, but it was good, anyway!>

Door County is one of my fav places to vacation. I am jealous of those who can actually call it home. I like all the water that surrounds you there, I love to watch sunsets on water, so peaceful and relaxing.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend, and yep, gotta say it again,

Hi gang! I can't believe I haven't been posted since before Labor Day. I usually read and post at work but work has been so busy. I am all caught upon what you have all been up to.

We went to our camper this weekend and had an enjoyable weekend. Now that we are home my work starts - I have to get caught up on the laundry!

I leave for a business trip to Maryland on Tuesday. You are remmeber who much I like to fly? Of course, I am on hurricane watch like crazy. So far weather.com looks like it might be an OK flying day.

3 weeks from today I will be in the process of eating my way around the world. I can't wait to be back in Disney - hurricanes or not. DH and DS will be done with Expedition Everest challenge and hopefully have survived it - especially DH. I am not sure what he was thinking we he agreed to do this with ds.

Better go put some laundry away. Have a good week if I don't get a chance to check back in before I leave!

We ended up staying home all day yesterday, which was good, because I was able to clean alot of house. I got so much done, because Stephanie was at a friends house, and Katie was outside playing with friends/neighbors kids all day. Now 2 out of the 4 levels of this house can get the white glove treatment (I don't touch the basement - that's Kevins domain, and I didn't have enough time to do the upstairs)



DMM - I haven't been to Milwaukee since I was a Freshman in highschool. Are there other things to do in Milwaukee if we wanted to go there for the weekend? If we go to the zoo, I would need something else to do too.

HERSEY - Did you spend time outside yesterday, or were you inside cleaning your basement?

Morning, friends! We got a new puppy yesterday! As if I'm not busy enough, right? Anyway, he is a blue merle Sheltie (meaning he's speckled like an Australian Sheperd) and we are thinking of naming him Cosmo (although Indy in a possibility). He was the last of the litter since the family was going to keep him for themselves, but they have 2 Shelties and 4 kids, so they decided to let him go. Their ds cried when we picked the pup up. It broke my heart! Anyway, I will post pics asap!

Hmm..we never do anything else out there! hahahah!! we actually also head up there for the Wi. State Fair, you could comvbine the 2. It's one of the best fairs in our opinion! My father has been taking me since High School, it's amazing how much I can remember all those trips and now i'm taking my little ones (Dad still comes too!).

The zoo is just amazing in my opinion. It's more compact than Brookfield, but it's so much cleaner and the food is a bit better! hahaha!! I think it's just as expensive though. (Not sure, last time I went to Brookfield it was free, for the Mcdonalds Corp. company picnic).

Good Morning Everyone! my alergies are starting to act up yesterday the itchy eyes started... today when i woke up they were all red and puffy. Fortunately, they returned to normal by the time I got here to work! I got a Wii yesterday! I bought Wii Fit too! I love it! I have such a hard time making time to go to the gym mike and i belong too, so now i wont feel like a total slacker all the time! i played for like 3 hours yesterday. i need to get another remote so we can play 2 player! Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Morning all!! It was a beautiful day yesterday! I got the morning off and was able to get DD ready for her ballet audition. She was one of the hundreds you maybe saw on the news yesterday auditioning for the Joffrey Ballet for the Nutcracker this December. And she got a part!! Now if we can just make the schedules work out so she can participate and if she can keep her math grade up. We have until the 19th to decide.
Slo, you can come clean here next. I hate to dust!! Anyone have a dusting fettish? Feel free to come here! It just comes back again 4 hours later.
Today is the bathroom cleaning and running the vacuum. Every day that could happen with Tiggs around. I think he stirs up all the dust, too!!
DMM glad you enjoyed your zoo day. The weather is great for zoo trips and picnics right now.

Slo, when are you leaving for your trip? I forgot to pick up my photo album. Any chance you could grab the new one for me and bring it home? I can't believe I even did that. I made sure to get the little one for Kellie's pix, but forgot to get the bigger one for mine. I loved the MNSSHP!! The kids had a blast. Why did Kevin not enjoy it? Just the crowds? I do think when we went in 06 it was more crowded than 04. But I think we toured the park wrong that time, too. My plan now would be to skip the first parade, avoid the Mad Hatter trail til later, and head into Frontierland/Adventureland first and tour around the opposite way. And I would definately hit the Villians Mix/Mingle first. We always missed it because we got too busy and never got back to the castle forecourt to see it later.
Paint, congrats on the new puppy!! Can't wait to see a picture.
DG, how do you like the Wii Fit? I told DH I want that for my B-day and keep reminding him he needs to be on the look out as they will be hard to find. But I know him. He is a last minute shopper which means if I want it that bad, I will have to hunt it down myself!! Do you think you will use it well?
momto1, have a safe, enjoyable trip. Your eatfest trip is coming soon. Be sure to stop in America and have a Maine Lobster roll for me (if they offer that this year). They were the best!!
Donna, glad you had a nice Anniversary and that the Sox came through for you.
Hersey, did you enjoy the great outdoors at all this weekend or just the great clean up?
Well, better get my buns moving. The water is mostly out of the pool. I need to disassemble everything now and try to get the rest out and get it hanging up to dry. That may have to wait for DH. It is a bit heavy to lug up to the deck on my own.

It is a little soggy and cold out. Glad I decided to forgo the basement yesterday and spend the time outside. This weekend was so beautiful.

Tigg I don't mind dusting I have one of those swiffter duster things it does a pretty good job on my ceiling fans. I hate vaccuming

Paint Congrats on the new pup. I like the name Cosmo. Indy might give him the idea to roam aka Indiana Jones. Not bad if he brings back treasure just not monkey brains. That scene still creeps me.
