Morning all! Back to the grind. Seems I just typed how excited I was to not have to prepare any more lunches only to find myself back at it again.:guilty:

I bought the Animal Kingdom Park CD at WDW and have it playing now. It is so nice and relaxing to listen to.

Piglet, sorry your van didn't make it through the year. I know how that is. We were hoping to get another year out of ours, but one thing kept going after the other and it became an either keep fixing little things out of pocket or start over. I kept hearing all this clunking noise and was waiting to look back in the mirror and see parts on the road behind me.
Happy shopping for something "new".

Bunchkin, how was the Lego place? Did you enjoy your day? I was just too tired to budge. The kids invited friends over for one last dip in the pool and we put up the tent to air out. They had a blast playing in that.
How was the last show at AG? I hope you and Lauren had a great time.

Paint, I loved Marley and Me!! I laughed out loud and cried. We have always had a Lab, so I could really relate to them. Hope your Disney depression fades fast. I am suprisingly OK with it this time. I guess I really had a great trip. I know DD ballet group will be going again in October 09, so I guess I can plan a bit for that. Not sure where they plan to stay, but I hope they pick on-site this time. I hated being at DTD hotels. Transportation stunk.

ID, Happy Birthday to your DD. I love Woodfield, just wish it wasn't so far. The kids would love to be able to trade pins more often with the CMs there.

Slo, glad you enjoyed your weekend. So will the pool be closing soon? I think I will put the hose in to empty ours today and start the process of taking it down, cleaning it out and hanging it to dry. :sad2: Summer is over.:sad1:

Well, all. Off to finish getting this place picked up a bit and do some :laundy: I am going to enjoy my first day home without kids since June 9th!!:woohoo:

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: Kind of a gloomy day (especially since the Cubbies lost last night) but the temp. was nice while i was walking to work! there was a nice breeze! My dad bought me the new Kathy Reichs book as an early part to my bday gift! I thought it was nice of him!

Paint ~ I haven't read Marley and Me. Actually, I haven't read a lot of popular books except the Harry Potter's. I just started to enjoy reading since I've been taking the train.

Slo ~ I work in the Development Office for the opera. It's a great place but I miss being in a fast paced environment on a daily basis! Never thought I'd say that!

Piglet ~ good luck with finding a mini-van you like! my sister just got one that she LOVES! it has a dvd player for the kiddos but i'm not sure what type it is!

Everyone else ~ :wave2: hope you are all doing well!

Have a wonderful day!

DMM - So good to see you!!!!! How are you and the kids?

Morning! We're all doing really well thanks! The kids are growing to fast and Roman is starting to take his first steps! He falls of course, but it's a start!

Sal and I just celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary yesterday and we spent July in Mexico.

How are your girls doing??

DMM Hello long time no talk! How's The kiddo's? WOW Roman is walking it seem like you just had him.

How about this weather one day it's blistering hot then this, WOW. This will bring great sleeping weather ;)

irish dancer Hopefully your DH got the AC running. A new unit is pretty costly. Let me know if you need a name of a good repair place I'm not too far from you.

Well better get dinner going.

Hey you!!! How are you?! What grade is your son starting?? It's amazing how quickly the time flies! I can't believe my baby is growing so fast either! Autumn is talking so much, I have to often tell her to take a break and of course a majority of what she says is all about Disney World! hahaha!!!

Gabriel is still all kinds of trouble, but I swear the Lord made him cute just so he could get away with it! hahaha!!

That always saved Alex from the garbage

Alex is in 8th grade It seems like yesterday he told me is was never going to grow up he was going to stay small and live at home. Now Alex is just about my height. I don't have to wonder if he is tall enough for the rides ;)

Hi everyone!! :wave2:

We've been so busy the past few days or so that I haven't had a chance to stop by here.

Saturday we went shopping and then out for dinner later that night.

Sunday Lauren and I went downtown early in the morning. It's great to be downtown when the traffic is light and there are no crowds yet.
The theatre performance at AG was great and sad at the same time. It was the last day of performances for many of the actresses and many of them were crying while singing. The final performance for the other actresses and actors was Monday. We had lunch there too, and it was totally yummy. Did some shopping there, of course! ;) And then stopped at the Hershey store for DS and got him some yummies!! :) While we were gone DS and DH went to the movies and lunch and were trying to find a new fire pit but most places were sold out of them. Went out for dinner again!

Monday we went to Legoland and it was ok. The kids had fun. But it was just ok. The ride is really tame/boring. I don't think we will be in any hurry to return any time soon though. Thank goodness for those coupons though, because I would have been really disappointed to have paid full price for all of us. After leaving there we had a late lunch/early dinner at Maggianos.

We had a great weekend and ate out WAY TOO much!!! :rotfl2:

I forgot to mention last week that we got an offer on the house and turned it down. They must have thought we were trying to give it away!!! :headache:
We are thinking of taking it off the market and waiting until the economy grows stronger again to relist.

slo Your weekend sounded great!!! I love it when I don't have to wear makeup!!!

paint I hope your DD is ok after her fall.

DMM It's nice to see you stop by. Glad the kids are doing well. How is Roman's hearing? And happy anniversary to you and Sal! :goodvibes

mac Glad you're feeling better. I am too! :thumbsup2

irish dancer Sorry to hear your a/c is on the fritz!! That happened to us in July and DH was able to fix it. Hope your DH gets yours fixed too!!!

disneygal Let's hope the Cubbies can get their act together again!! :yay:

Tiggerrn Isn't it nice to have a quiet house? :goodvibes ;)

Gotta run, as it's almost bed time here.
TTFN!!!

Evening guys! Wow, what a busy day. Since I got rid of our cleaning service today was time to change sheets, wash hard wood floors and such. Tomorrow will be vacuum and bathrooms. Kind of miss the cleaning lady but liking having the extra $$ in the budget.

Oldest DD had a volleyball game, they won 2 of the 3 games so that was good. A crazy thing happened in the third game and I think we got the short end of the stick. It was tied at 19, the other team served, we volleyed back, the ball bounced off the foot of a player on the other team and came back over the net. Our girls did not attempt to return the ball as it hit the girls foot which we thought put it out of play and gave us the point and the ball. The other team's coach insisted that it could bounce off a body part as long as it didn't hit the floor it was still in play :confused3 . The referee ended up letting the other team have a "do over". Our girls were kind of flustered I think and they hit the ball out so the other team got the point. It was all over after that but I think our girls did great.

We came home and DH had fixed mashed potatoes and peas to go with the turkey I had in the crock pot. We had a quick dinner and then youngest DD had her first Hip Hop class at a local dance studio. She had a blast, came out red faced and smiling.

Home for shower and then everyone was tucked into bed, phew!

Good news, I arrived home from my lunch date yesterday to the hum of the air conditioning! DH had researched a lot on the internet and $20 in parts fixed the unit :worship: . He saved us easily hundreds if not thousands if we ended up replacing the unit. We don't need the air now but it's nice to know we'll have it when needed.

Today is 30 days until our trip!! I've taken up hurricane watch, I check the weather sites daily. I'm really hoping that the storms will be over but I guess we'll enjoy AKV if we're stuck there in the rain.

paint - how's your dd doing? My little one did that about a week ago, she was trying to ride no handed :rolleyes1 .

piglet - congrats on the new-to-you car. New cars are so much fun!

Tiggerrn - the kids didn't have their lanyards with them, we went straight from DDs volleyball game and I never thought to bring them. They did get some DtoD pins to use as traders though, they were pretty excited.

Bunchkin - sorry to hear that the Lego place was ho-hum. DS really wants to go after picking up a flyer while at Woodfield last week. Hopefully I can find one of those coupons we got at that Doorway To Dreams event. I was a little suprised at their prices :scared: .

I hope everyone enjoys this cooler weather, it really makes it seem like fall. I'm going to listen to Sarah Palin a bit.

Have a good night everyone! :flower3:

Bunchkin Sorry legoland didn't live up to the hipe. Maggianos :thumbsup2 glad you had a good meal there.

Irish Good news about the AC. I'm sure we will need again soon.

Next week my nieghbors go to WDW they haven't been there in years. I hope the weather holds out for them.

I'm glad we are finally getting some rain my grass is so crunchy and brown. To bad I can't stay home and just lay around.:sad1:

What a rainy morning :umbrella: which is good, because our grass really needed it. To bad alot of my flowers are in an area that won't get any of it, so I still have to water them - bummer!!!!

piglet - I'm sorry your car didn't make it as long as you wanted :guilty: Have fun with your new one!!! :car:

TTTTTTTigern - I'm not sure when we are closing the pool:confused: Normally, we would be doing it this weekend, because we wanted it done before vacation. But, since we are going on vacation the end of October, I'm not sure when Kevin will want to do it. We do have a heater, so if there's a couple of nice days in September, we could go in it - so I"m not sure:confused3

DG - That was nice that you got your book early:goodvibes
**Sounds like you work in an interesting place. Do you get discounts on tickets? That would be a nice perk for you!!!

DMM - Roman is starting to walk:eek: Time DOES go by to fast!!!! How are things going with his hearing?
**Happy belated Anniversary!!!!!:goodvibes
**My girls are doing well, thanks for asking!!! They just turned 10 and 5 and I can't believe it:eek: I've been having a hard time with Katie growing up, so Kevin got me a puppy to cuddle and take care, so Katie could have some growing room:laughing: I still have to post a picture of my little puppy :dog:

HERSEY - Katie just told me this weekend that she was going to live with me forever too :goodvibes It made me feel good:cloud9:

Bunchkin - I"m glad you and Lauren had a nice mommey/daughter day:goodvibes What a nice memory for both of you!!!
**I"m sorry you got such a cruddy offer on your house:guilty:
**How are you feeling?

ID - Congrats to your DD and her team for winning the games:cheer2:
**That's awesome about your air conditioning!!!

Well, I gotta go and get this day going!!
Have a good day today everyone!!!!

What a dreary rainy day.

DMM~ Hard to believe he is old enough to be walking already!

Bunchkin ~ Sounds like you had a real nice day together.

Not much going on here today. I do have to work at Hanna Andersson tonight though. We did buy a van yesterday, went with a 2008 Chevy Uplander with 17,000 miles on it. Will take some getting use to, especially since it is an extended base version.

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: we sure do need this rain! i can't believe the Cubbies lost AGAIN!!! and Big Z... if he's injured i will definitely be very upset! :confused3 ah well, what ya gonna do right?

Slo ~ i don't get discounts or free tickets. however, i do get to work events like opening night where i get to get all dressed up... that's nice but then again, it is work still.

Everyone else ~ :wave2: have a great day!

I don't have to wonder if he is tall enough for the rides
hahahaha! Always a bonus!! As each kid grows, we tell them what rides they can now go on! hahahaha!!! Gabriel is only 1 inch shorter than Autumn and in the middle of a wee spurt. I think she would die if he was taller than her on the next trip!

I know what you mean and we paid full price. Total disappointment for us, but we had to try it out just so we knew! heehee!!

DMM It's nice to see you stop by. Glad the kids are doing well. How is Roman's hearing? And happy anniversary to you and Sal!
Thank you :) Roman is still deaf in 1 ear and after a full year packed (almost a year next month!!) of Doctors and specialists and hospitals, we have decided ot let nature take it's course until January. I wanted to give the guy a break from pokes and prods and sharp objects in the ear. In January, they gather he will be old enough to wear a head set to get a better gauge of hearing loss. Right now we are put in a booth and either the left speaker or the right will say something and he turns. BUT it's not a good judge as he can hear in one ear so he always turns in the direction of his good ear. Sooo...we are waiting :) Thanks for asking!

I've been having a hard time with Katie growing up, so Kevin got me a puppy to cuddle and take care, so Katie could have some growing room I still have to post a picture of my little puppy

awwww how sweet! So the feeling never goes away huh?? I'm already sliding in and out of a sad state with each month that goes by, knowing that Roman is growing so fast and I will never have another new baby around :( :sad1: My 2 oldest are potty trained and Roman is switching to whole milk this month sooo....it's like all that baby stuff is almost over :( (Not that I miss diapers! heehee).

How wonderful of your husband to get you a puppy though! :) :yay:

That rain yesterday was crazy!!!! :umbrella:
Poor Sophie was so upset by it, that she did not want to go out. She wet on the throw rug by the front door, when I started to walk out the door with her, because she just didn't want to go:sad2: She would come in, and be soaking wet, and shiver - she was so cold. I had her wrapped up in a towel, and cuddle with her like an infant, until she stopped shivering. Then this morning, when it was time to go out, I walked out the door, and she ran the other way (I have an expandable leash, so she is able to go far). I came back in and grabbed her, and went out, you could tell she was happy that the rain wasn't there, and so was I - I hated standing out in that last night!!!!!!!!

Piglet - Congrats on your new van!!!!! Have fun getting to know your new vehile :car:

DG - That's to bad they don't give you discount tickets, but I bet it's great to work opening night:) . I bet it's fun watching people, and how they dress for an event like that. I"m sure you see some really glamourous outfits!!!!

DMM - I don't blame you for giving little Roman a break from the doctors and the tests. It sounds likes he's a happy baby, and is adjusting to hearing with one ear. He sounds like such a great little baby!!!!!!:goodvibes

Well, I gotta run and get this day going
I slept a little longer than normal - the time got away from me.
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Morning everyone  Another rainy day over here and I actually don't mind it. I love the sound of rain falling and the cool breeze it brings with it.

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: I've had a terrible morning. :sad2: But i'll be fine. I just want the day to be over already and it just started. Hope everyone has a nice weekend. I have to work an event tomorrow evening! Stars of Lyric Opera at Millenium Park. It's a free concert and starts at 7:30pm if anybody wants something to do and likes opera! :goodvibes have a good day everyone!

Morning all!! Doing more :laundy: today and need to go get some groceries. I still need some items for school for the kids. DS needs handsoap. And both classes asked for extra pencils sharpened. This morning I was sharpening all these extra pencils and burned out the motor on our electric pencil sharpener.:rotfl: Guess I will replace that as well seeing as we use it often here at home.:rolleyes1
DG-hope your day gets better. So hard to start your day out bad.:grouphug:
Slo, poor little Sophie. She is too tiny to be cold. My big dog didn't even want to go out in the rainy weather. I swear he is a camel sometimes. He can hold it forever. He will refuse to go out if it is raining unless he just can't hold it any longer.
DMM, hello!! Nice to hear from you here again. Kids are getting big, too. Did you enjoy your summer vacation?
The rain seems to have stopped here for the day. I will finish emptying out the pool today and hopefully it will be sunny tomorrow so it can hang up to dry out.
Better get a move on my day. The kids will be done with school soon enough.

Summer went well thanks for asking! We had a great time and now that fall is upon us, everyone is planning on what they want to be for Halloween! haha!!

Here is the latest on my little ones:
