Hi gang! Rain, rain go way!

Paint - Congrats on the new pup! Pics, we need pics!

Tiggerrn2 - Conrats to your dd! That would be so cool and fun! Also, thanks for the tip on the Maine Lobster Roll - that sound yummy!

Anyone ever been to the Great Lakes Dragstrip? We won tickets and they are good any time through November. My ds will love it. Me - hum, probably not so much!

I am off to Baltimore tomorrow. I will check in when I get back.
Lori

Brrrrrr...........it's a little chilly outside this morning. :cold:
I was really surprised when I took Sophie outside.

Speaking of Sophie, she was groomed for the first time yesterday, and she looks really cute :dog: All her "new" puppy hair is now gone, and she looks so much older, which is sad, but it's nice to not have her so scruffy.

Paint - Congrats on the new puppy!!!! :dog: When we had our lab, we named him Indy, because Kevin is such an Indy 500 lover. The name fit him so well :) Have fun with your new puppy!!!!:goodvibes
**Sophie is doing awesome - she's so good!!!!! :dog: She blended with our family so well, that it seems weird that we've never had her. I look forward to when she is fully potty trained, so she can join us around the house all the time. But now, she's only allowed to have the full run of the house when I know she's done #1 & #2. When she hasn't done both, than she's in a large area in the kitchen, and from her spot she can see the entire kitchen, and the entire family room, so she's still not completely seperated from us.

DMM - Thanks for letting me know about Milwaukee:) How's your ebay business going?

DG - Do you feel Wii Fit is a good workout? I was going to ask for it for XMas.

TTTTTTTigern - I would be happy to get your a photo album:) Please remind me right before I go, because I know I'll forget if you don't. Than you can come visit me at work to pick it up :teeth:
**The main reason Kevin didn't enjoy the Halloween party is because of the HUGE crowds (it was sold out the night we went). He was not happy that after paying extra money for it, that it was more crowded than an average day. He was expecting that the park would be as low as EMH, and I was sort of expecting that too. We waiting for some rides longer than we normally do during an average day. I can understand his frustration, and I'm hoping it's a little better this year {{fingers crossed}}.
**Tell Kellie congratulations!!!! :cheer2:

HERSEY - I love those Swiffers dusters for my big figs. I don't now what I would without those - they get into all the tight little areas. :thumbsup2

momto1 - Have a safe trip to Baltimore!!!!!

Have a good day everyone!!

jbdayandpup039.jpg

Here he is! It is so hard to get a good pic since he's constantly in motion!

slo- He is not doing too badlywith his potty training. He hasn't had an accident in his crate yet! He didmanage to poop on the floor once (while I was on an important call and dd was yelling- He's pooping!:headache: ). Anyway, dd (7) is driving me nuts. She is scared of this 5 lb. dog when he gets worked up. She shrieks and runs, which only gets him more worked up!
Tig- Congrats to your dd! That is awesome! I don't think my dd will do dance this year and I feel terrible. I just don't have the time. Her age's class is offered during a time I have class.
Hersey- Yes, it was Indiana Jones inspired, but most seem to think he looks like a Cosmo.
dgal, momto, DMM,bunchkin, etc- Hi ladies!

Morning all. It is very chilly this morning but at least the sun is up and hopefully that will help in the long run.
Slo, thank you so much for that. I will stop in to see you before you go and give you some money and maybe we can grab lunch?
Paint, your puppy is cute!! Cosmo would fit. I am so glad to be out of puppyhood. Tiggs has really calmed down over the summer. Now he only goes nutty when company arrives.
Thanks for all the congrats for DD. I still am not sure it will work out with our schedules, but just to get a part was a big deal for her.
Well, I have to run to the store. PTO is having a welcome back dessert bar for the teachers today, so I need to run and grab something to donate.
Later all.

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: Holy Smokes is it chilly out there! I couldn't believe how chilly it was when i let Bud (the dog) out this morning. i knew it was cold in the house but i thought it was b/c i didn't have my comforter on my bed. Anywho, I did my Wii Fit for an hour last night, i love it!

Tiggern and Slo ~ I HIGHLY reccommend the WiiFit. It is so much fun and has so many different things to do. I haven't really branched out past the beginner stuff b/c i'm not all that coordinated but it's cool b/c it can tell i'm a klutz by my center of balance and whatnot. it's really cool, and it keeps track of your weight and your progress. really quite easy to work technical wise.

Tiggern ~ congrats to DD. That is such an accomplishment! She should be very proud of herself!

Paint ~ the puppy is so adorable! i'm sure DD will get used to having it around.

Everyone else ~ :wave2: hope you have a wonderful day!

Morning everyone!!!

Sandy, Business is really good thanks for asking! I am now in over 7 shops worldwide, have been featured in a couple quirky magazines and blogs and am about to round out 1000 internet sales. (Not including my wholesale accounts). Right now i'm in full show season swing for the holidays, so while it's fun, the negative is that I spend a lot of weekends working.

OMG Paint, that dog is sooo cute! Great photos!

Oooo It's veryyy chilly out there! Our walk this morning was definately cut short! Romans little nose is all red and that's really hard to tell since he's such a darker skinned baby! hahaha!!

Hi guys! What a beautiful day! Cool but so nice.

Oy vey these days are going by so quickly. Tonight was Open House at dds school, met the teachers. They all seem nice. I sent them emails today to let them know about our trip, hopefully there won't be a problem. The kids still have no idea we're going, hopefully we can get throught these last 25 days without them finding out.

piglet - how's the new van? I hope you're enjoying it.

slo - our Jack Russell Belle HATES the rain and cold. You pretty much have to drag her out. In the winter she starts shivering when you ask her if she wants to go for a walk. Her favorite spot in the house is anywhere the sun is shining.

Bunchkin - I'll pm you about the Lego coupons, thanks for the offer.
*How was the baby shower?
**We're doing MNSSHP for the first time on our trip next month, any tips?

Donna - happy belated anniversary, glad you had fun at the Sox game!

momto1 - looks like our trip to WDW is the week after you, I too have been on hurricane watch. I check stormpulse.com a couple of times a day. Here's hoping it'll be clear for us!

paint - congrats on the puppy, he is sooo cute!

disneygal - sorry your allergies are acting up, dh is suffering too.
*The kids and I want a Wii too, unfortunately dh works for Sony and we have a Playstation 3. I suppose one game system is enough but Wii looks cool.

Tiggerrn - congrats to your dd!! I can imagine the committment must be huge. I wish one of my dds would have stuck with ballet long enough to do something like that.

:wave2: to everyone else!

We are supposed to spend the weekend at BILs cabin by Manitowoc this weekend. I was planning to go apple picking but the weather might not cooperate. I hope it doesn't rain as there isn't much to do that isn't outside. DD11 is putting up a major protest too, she says it is "so boooring there" .

Well, the news is on now so I'm going to catch up on what's happening in the world and check out the forecast for tomorrow. Have a great night everyone :flower3: .

Yawn.......these cold dark mornings are brutal for getting up :surfweb:
Even Sophie doesn't want to get up:sad2: I open her cage door, and then I have to give a little "come on" to get her moving. She knows its warmer in her little den, than going outside to go potty:laughing:

paint - Your new furbaby is so cute!!! :goodvibes I need to get photos of Sophie up on the computer along with The Meet photos. I just need to find my cord that attaches to the camera to the computer.

TTTTTTiiiiiiigern - Sounds good!!!! :)

DG - Thanks for your review on the Wii Fit. I'm going to ask for one for Christmas :santa: (Yea!!! I get to use this smilie in September:rotfl: )

DMM - That is so awesome that your business is doing so well!!!! Congratulations!!!!:cheer2: I need to get my store on ebay, so I can hopefully sell things, that are not selling in the store. Kevin is going to help me with that soon :thumbsup2

ID - Have fun this weekend - I hope it doesn't rain. My friend and I take our girls apple picking in October. I really didn't want to go last year, and she insisted on going, so I went. We had a really good time!!! So now we are making this an annual trip:cool1:

Well, I gotta go and workout. I really don't want to go outside - I haven't acclamated myself to this cold weather yet :cold: So I've been working out in the house. Have a good day!!!

DMM - That is so awesome that your business is doing so well!!!! Congratulations!!!! I need to get my store on ebay, so I can hopefully sell things, that are not selling in the store. Kevin is going to help me with that soon

good luck to you!!

Have a good day everyone! We're off to the dinosaur museum! haha! Not really an exciting one, but just enough to learn something and not big enough to get bored :)

Dmm- Since I didn't say it before...your babies are getting so big! And, how cute are they?!?
Tig- Puppies are quite but so much work! I enjoy them but prefer them when they are responsible adults thatare housebroken and don't chew up things!
dgal- What kind of pup do you have?
id- How can you keep the trip a secret! You are much better than me! I wanted to wait until my mom came down on Mon. to let her see the pup. I caved and told her Sun. night, the same day we got him.

So, in case you haven't noticed, my space bar is sticky and I often have words which run together. Annoying!
Not much going on today. Work all day! Enjoy the day, though. It looks beautiful!

Good almost afternoon Everyone! :flower3: had a meeting this morning right at 9am so i didn't get back to my desk until now!

Paint ~ I have a West Highland Terrier. He's 13 blind and nearly deaf. but he's my bud and i love him very much! here's a pic... sorry they are so big, photobucket doesn't like me this morning.
these were a few years back but not much has changed!
buddywaves.jpg

Slo ~ glad i could help start your :santa: list! :)

ID~ allergies are definitely not fun! i woke up this morning with a really bad sinus headache.... here's some pd in hopes DH feels better :wizard: As for game systems, I have had quite a few over the years; nintendo, N64, Playstation, GameCube, Xbox360 (which i still play) and now the Wii. I like that I can play my GameCube games on the wii, i didn't know that when i bought it. it's funny b/c on one side of the tv is xbox360 which i still love and on the other side is the wii. it is quite crowded!

everyone else :wave2: have a wonderful day!

Paint Your pictures of the puppy are really cute

disneygal922 Your baby is cute too.:thumbsup2

I heard this morning this year is really bad for allergies. I keep sneezing

DMM Did you go to the Burpee museum Alex loves that Museum. There is a museum in Sycamore that he likes too.

It is almost pumpkin farm time but I'm not ready to let go of summer yet.

Hello everyone!! :wave2:

I have been so busy lately that I have not had time to post. And I only had one chance to stop by and read.

Kids are having Karate tonight. The new session started this evening. Have them signed up through to Christmas.

Going for a whirlpool pedicure tomorrow morning!! It's my new 'every three week treat to myself'.

irish dancer Let me know when you want those coupons! :thumbsup2
The baby shower was....ok. My neighbor friend and I didn't stay every long, maybe a half hour or so. Went home and changed into more casual clothes and took the kids shopping. Got to see the baby's room though and it was really cute!
We've done MNSSHP twice and loved it both times. ::yes::
First time we were unprepared for how to work the whole evening so we could do all there was to do. But last year we got our act together and was able to do the trick or treating by Torrowland, see the Villian thing, the second parade (or was it the first?? :confused3 ) and of course ride some rides. I'll have to check with the family to see which parade we went to, because I think that was really the key to the whole evening. We even got our picture taken at one of the special photo opps they have.
You won't be able to do it all, so don't worry about it! ;)

paint Your dog is so cute! My kids freak out around dogs too...regardless of their size.

disneygal Cute dog!!! Looks like the American Girl Coconut dog!!
I want a Wii!!!! :yay:

Hersey I love those Swiffer dusters too!!! :)

slo Get those pics up soon!!! FIND that cord woman!!!

Tiggerrn I want to go see that movie coming out on Friday called something about Women with Meg Ryan. Interested in meeting me sometime to see it while the kids are in school? Lord knows I'll never get Tony to go to a chick flick!!!!

Need to blow this popsicle stand! :)
TTFN!! :tigger:

Hi guys! Well, I heard back from the girls teachers. With new teachers you never know what kind of response you'll get so I was holding my breath. Both have replied no problem, have a great time and they won't spill the beans. Will send an email to DSs teacher next week, don't expect any problems. Phew, it feels good to have that out of the way.

paint - it has been TOUGH keeping the secret. DH is completely sick of hearing about everything though  .

disneygal - our Jack Russell is 13yrs too, you'd never know it though!

Hersey - DS has asked to go to a pumpkin farm, I told him not until Oct! I don't want summer to be over either.

Bunchkin - this time I really did send you a pm about the Lego coupon. :rolleyes1
*I'm so torn about MNSSHP, we are a big time ride family but I doubt we'll make it down at this time of year again so the other part of me wants to try and do all the Halloween only stuff. I know we won't be able to do it all but I still want to :rotfl:

Bought some stuff to emblish some t-shirts for both DDs for our trip. I can't wait for them to leave for school tomorrow so I can get started. That will be my project.

Well, I've got to get to bed earlier tonight. I've fallen into a bad rut with staying up way too late and I'm sleep deprived. I'm blaming it on the Olympics, ever since they were on I've been staying up past midnight. That 6:20a alarm is sooo early.

Night everyone! Hope everyone enjoys the sunny day they're forecasting for tomorrow. :flower3:

Evening all!! I have been a busy bee today! Did :laundy: , vacuumed, dusted some :rolleyes1 , swept and mopped kitchen floor, mowed the back yard and field next to our house (it belongs to ComEd but they never mow  ), made Chicken Cesar salads for dinner, walked the dog, and have now been playing for 2 hours on the Photopass site with my pictures and Photopass pictures. I am doing a book with their site as well as the one I have going with my Creative Memories site. I have to finish the one up with Photopass soon though. It is only available for 30 days.:headache:
Love the puppy pix here. Slo, still waiting to see your adorable pup!
Bunchkin, I would love to catch a chick flick with you. I'll PM you my next couple week's schedule. But next Friday (not this one) may work best for me if it will for you.
ID, enjoy you preplanning. That is half the fun!! And I think you should plan to do the 2nd parade. Be sure to have an easy morning and a nap so you can last til the end of the night. The later it gets, the less crowded it is. Start the park in Frontierland/Adventureland and save the Alice/Mad Hatter trail til mid party. It is really busy at the beginning and you will lose a lot of time. And save Toontown til later as well. Parents with little ones will head there first, try to catch the early parade and fireworks and leave as it gets near 10:30 so that will free up Fantasyland and Toontown for you later. Make it for the 2nd parade (watch it in Frontierland where it begins so you can then head around for a spot to catch the fireworks). Don't go too close to the castle or you will miss the lower fireworks, but don't get too far back either or you miss what they project onto the castle. Am I confusing you? :rolleyes1 We have done this party twice. In 2004 we followed this advice I am giving you now. In 2006, I didn't listen to myself and headed off to Toontown at the beginning and the Mad Hatter Trick or Treat Trail and was so sorry I did. If you can catch the first Villian Mix and Mingle in front of the castle, try to do that. It is a much lighter crowd there then (usually) and then head off to Adventureland and Frontierland to ride some rides and ready yourself for the parade. If you go in at 4 you may get a bunch of rides checked off your list early and have more time to enjoy the party stuff.
Be sure to check out Main Street after the party gets rolling. They project some neat stuff onto the buildings and have all the party decorations out.
If I think of anything else, I will be sure to let you know. Or PM me if you want with any other specific questions. Several of us here have done this party more than once. When I went in 2004, they said it was Sold Out. I never would have known. We missed all the crowds.:woohoo:
Well, I had better get off to bed. The news is almost over and I've missed it.
Mac, are you alive out there?! You haven't left yet have you?

 Morning everyone

Yes, it was the Burpee Museum :) It's the perfect size for my 3. They love the childrens museum next door, but we just did that one recently and wasn't ready for an all day affair :)

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: I feel bad b/c i had to call mike early this morning to see if he needed me to take any specific days off for the rest of the year. I woke him up :sad2: but i needed to put in my days for the rest of the year:confused3 . unfortunately i need to work xmas eve and new years eve but maybe my boss will be nice and let us leave early. december is a very busy time of the year for development. so i chose halloween and friday december 19. i figured if i can get halloween i can go with my sister to take the boys trick or treating. and dec 19th is the friday before Christmas so i can hopefully finish any last minute shopping i'll need to do.

Thanks for all the compliments on bud... he's a good dog!
Bunchkin ~ i'll have to look up this Coconut dog to see what he looks like

Tiggern ~ sounds like you have been quite productive! :thumbsup2

Everyone else ~ :wave2: have a wonderful day!
