Calling all Blizzard Beach Fans

I need help. Going to WDW in November and usually TL is open and BB shut so its about 8 years since I've been to BB. I luuurrrvvvvee TL and am really disappointed it's not going to be open.

I need all you die hard BB fans to convince me it's going to be OK. There will be 8 of us altogether with ages ranging from 6 to 62.

It will be ok! You'll still be at a waterpark...we did BB last August, and TL last month...I actually liked BB better (DH doesn't like the winter/blizzard theme so his favorite is TL)..while the wave pool is bigger at TL, I think the slides, etc. are better at BB.

I'm sure you'll all have a great time! How could you not? You're going to be at a Disney waterpark!

In April I told the family let's do TL, we haven't done it in many years, they have new Crusher, the wave pool is fun.....and we've done BB the last few times. WELL.............while we enjoyed each other, they said it was no where near as much fun as BB. The lines were too long for the value of the slides, and next time it is back to BB. Even my old, don't need to slide self found it to be alittle too laid back.

That said for many years we did a family reunion with the waterpark day being the highlight. Same basic age span, 6-65. Everyone loved BB especially the older ones, and they said they would pick it over TL anyday.

TL is great, I love the landscaping and layed back feeling. But BB has it for us on the slides and fun.

I like BB much better than TL. In fact, my back, and my dd's, as well, look like someone took a bat to them after a few hours at TL. We went on the water coasters and HOLY COW do they hurt your lower back - the bruising is tremendous. After that we went on the tube slides - again, OW!!! They were short and very bumpy as opposed to long and smoothe at BB. Not to mention, for the family raft ride at TL you need to carry the raft part of the way yourself, at BB it is brought up on a ramp - much better!

All in all, I liked BB a lot more than TL, and am not sure I'll return to TL anytime soon.

This year it seems that we will be closing TL first and then BB.

Last day TL will be open is Saturday, October 27. Normally the closing is 8 or 9 weeks, so reopening (and first day closed for BB) will be either Sunday December 23 or 30. Reopening of BB will be either February 17 or March 2, 2008.
