You are all keeping me sane, in an insane kinda' way!
Everyone have a great day,
Darlene

Well I just got back from a doctor's appt.... Boy, do I need to lose some weight :sad2: My cholesterol is excellent at 189, my sugars are great, and my blood pressure is under control using medication. My doctor is wonderful, John-Bob and I both really like him a lot. But my achilles' tendons have been bothering me lately, and that's when he mentioned my weight. He is great, doesn't lecture or anything, but he is right; I definitely need to lose weight. I'm short, only 5' 4", and I do not have a large frame. My body just does not like all this weight on it!! I know people who are more overweight like me and they carry themselves like ballerinas! Me, on the otherhand, I am not used to being to overweight and lately I feel like a bull in a china shop. :worried: I keep bumping into things!

Anyway....I really need to get going with this weight loss thing. Intellectually I know what I have to do; it's just DOING it that I'm having trouble with. lol

Mary Rose: I'm glad your back is feeling better! And NO WAY can it be attributed to age (remember, we are very close in age! ;) )

I have read through all of the posts, could someone explain why the men have BOB before them on the first post list, is it because there are a number of Roberts on the cruise?

Andrew, go back to page 57 Page 57 of the thread and you can read about the explanation. HTH

Hi everyone and welcome to the newcomers. Just popped in to say hi
 I've been lurking -- just not posting. This time of year is sooo hectic. Thanksgiving, middle ds's birthday (yesterday 12-7), Christmas, etc. Hope you all are doing well.

Hi Guys

Hope you are all well. I am sat here just browsing through the web with the worst cold I have had for years, aching all over and feeling rotton, and look what I came across, I have posted the link below. Looks like it is an American company, so thought some of you may be interested.

Hope this link works, let me know what you think.

Oh Boy!!! I wonder how many "portable" blenders will sell with this group, LOL!!! I hear they make nice Christmas gifts!!! :smooth:

What do you know, I started page #100 of this thread!!! :cool1:

SUE - I hope you feel better soon. I have the beginnings of a nasty cold. My throat hurts so bad. I am drinking tea with lemon but no honey because my "honey" threw out what I had. He has way too much time on his hands!!

LISA - Thanks for giving Andrew the page #. It would be hard to explain without the reference. Do you think he will change his name to Andrew-Bob?

TERRY - Your approach to weight loss is highly typical. I fall into the category of "know what to do, just can't seem to do it". You can do it! I need to get moving but moving hurts. It's a vicious cycle.

Update on Stan: Surgeon told us today that he wants to hold off on surgery and continue to see if the drain will collapse the abscess. Good news - no surgery. Bad news - the never-ending drain.

ANDY - You are just a "100" kinda' guy! How cool :cool1: .

See ya,
Darlene

I wonder if we could get a discount for buying in large quantity?

Dori :earboy2:

You all crack me up. Doreen...How do u think of this stuff, thorns for Sandy ROTFL

Glad Stan may not need surgery.
CV...Glad you are back
AndrewUK...The Bob thing, I can barely remember why, I think it was Doreen forgetting everyone's name and thinking she was married to Mitch, who by the way is my DH, who had his BIG birthday yesterday. He handled it well, I think who knows the choices, either grow old gracefully or you know what the alternative is.

Sue..How funny that you could find a travel iron, NOOOOO I mean a travel SMOOTHIE LOL Dori, with this group a discount may be possible. We can beat the QVC record if they have one.

Andy is 100, Tooty Jane is lurking What a group, I can't wait to meet everyone either for the first time or again.

Joanna

Joanna,
I think I had Terry married to a "BOB", and I was married to MITCH... and then we all said oh heck.. lets call the husbands BOB since there are so many of them....
SUE i want in on the battery smoothie maker.. but I wonder how strong it will be to crush all the ice that "GINNY GIVES US"... :cool1:

Sandy so happy about STAN... now tell him to stay happy and well. a SERONG will look so cool on him at CASTAWAY CAY.. :groom: After all.. he has to be well to make a list of groomsmen,, now that will be a site... will they were half serongs,, WAHOO WAHOO.... :earseek: or loin clothes.... :smooth:

They're still coming off two by two, as I lost another two pounds this week. I have now past the halfway point of my goal. I have now lost 26 pounds since September 1st, and I feel GREAT!!! I'm down to 198, it's the first time I have been under 200 pounds in several years. :D

:cheer2: Congrats on the weight loss, Andy. Way to Go.
Sue

Carmen... I got the lanyard today - thanks so much!! Connor was so happy! :earboy2:

Great Xmas card!! I really wish I had done it on the ship too!

Ginny

 Hi everyone,

Welcome to all the new people. I've been really busy with work, holiday shopping and trying to get everything together for our cruise on the 18th.

For Hanukkah, Harley and Lindsay gave me 2 of the Milestone Mickeys. One is the Mickey Mouseketeer and the other is the Celebration Mickey :flower: I also got 2 tickets to see Disney's "On the Record" for 1/8. I don't know how my children knew that I like Mickey. Lucky guess huh? Lol.

Andy, way to go with your weight loss. I don't have the willpower. I wanted to lose atleast 5 pounds before the cruise next week, but everytime I lose 1 or 2 pounds, I'll eat candy or something I shouldn't, thinking it's not a big deal and I gain back whatever I lose. Then I feel depressed, so I eat more. :guilty:

Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish friends.

Bev :earsboy:

Believe me, it's taking a lot of willpower because I love my sweets, and this time of year is very hard to get through. I've nibbled just a tiny bit here and there, just to satisfy my cravings, but all in all, I've been very good about staying away from most sweets. There was a box of Krispy Kreme donuts in my boss' office the other day and I walked in and out of his office and wasn't even tempted about taking one. I even had to have my boss order me a new set of work pants (smaller size) because my old work pants were getting so baggy on me.

Andy - ordering a smaller size in clothes - that's great. :Pinkbounc That also gives you the incentive to keep going.

I'm probably going to have to order a new size in my clothes too. Larger. Lol It's really hard because everyone always brings home baked goodies into work plus the holiday parties, luncheons etc. Andy, I give you alot of credit.

Bev

Hi Everybody!

Ginny - So glad the lanyard arrived and Connor was happy. I just mailed it yesterday. Now that's what I call service! Thanks about the card too. I wanted to drop you a note too but things being as they are (read: me being as I am) I was literally running around with all the mail on the way out to work and ran out of time to say something personal on my Christmas Card - sorry about that!

Bev - Happy Hanukkah to you and your whole family! It sounds like to got great gifts too! How sweet of your daughters to know you like Mickey too!

Andy - I really admire your willpower pal! Especially this time a year. Your an inspiration to us all!

Hope everyone's doing well this evening! Gotta fly now and watch Survivor!

CV

88 weeks to go!! :sunny: :boat: :sunny:

CV: Who do you want to win Survivor? At this point, we don't really care, now that Ami is gone.

Hi Everyone!!!!! Yes it is me!!! If you don't remember this is Karen, Doreen's favorite sister :Pinkbounc I can't believe it is only 88 more weeks!!! I am doing a triple smoothie toast this evening after my horrible week at work!! How is everyone doing??

Terry- I tried iming you last nite back but my computer froze and I was locked out. So I gave up!!!

We are having a lousy rainy day here with thunderstorms, lightning and potential tornado warnings!!! :boat: I may need this boat after today!!!

Lyn - how are you doing???????

I hope everyone has a great weekend and get all their shopping done!!!!

TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY, FALALALALA LALALALA!!!! :grouphug:

Hi All,

I'm flying down to Florida on Saturday afternoon. My mom is coming to NJ for the Holidays and since she will be up here for over a month she wants her "new" car with her. We will be leaving Sunday morning to drive back. I'm hoping to be able to watch the Magic sail away tomorrow evening from Jetty Park. My plane is due to arrive at 3:45pm, then my mom and I are heading to the port area for dinner and see the Magic sail away (hopefully).

I'm using my last three vacation days for 2004, starting today.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Andy
