I just typed a really long post and lost it when I tried to post it. I will try this again.

Lyn - I am so sorry!!! I must have been a great shock for your family and to be so far away just makes it that much worse. I hope you get some answers soon.

Darlene - I want to come!!! New York at Christmas time, so much fun. I love Carmine's and Rockefeller Center. Oh well, I guess it is not in the cards this year, not three weeks after getting off a cruise. Maybe next year.

Andy - great job on the weight loss. I can't seem to get it together myself.

Terry - I am not there yet but I feel your pain.

I made final pmt on March Carnival Glory cruise today. I also added my SIL to our cruise. Her name is Linda also and she will be 43(I think) on the cruise. Actually her birthday is the 20th so we can celebrate on the cruise. She will be into the smoothies too.

Hi All,

I'm here in very "COLD" Florida. My plane landed at 3:33 this afternoon, after arriving my mom an dI took a drive over to Port Canaveral to watch the Magic sail away. The Magic didn't leave the port until 5:45 this evening. I did get to hear the ship's horn twice before she left however!!! I'm so glad I brought my "WINTER" coat with me, I really needed it tonight.

I took a few photos of the Magic as it sailed past us. We were standing next to Grills. It was about 5:55 before the Magic went past and it was already quite dark, so I'm not sure how my photos are going to show up when I get them loaded into my computer at home.

My mom and I are leaving around 6am on Sunday for the drive back to New Jersey. Prayers and PD for our drive back will be greatly appreciated. Time to get some shut eye.

I'm hoping to be back home by Monday evening. Talk to you later!!!

TERRY - I can so totally relate! I am of the "for all I know you were lying in a ditch somewhere" school of thought. I drove my boys nuts. Driving was probably the BIGGEST worry I ever had when my boys were teens. They have all survived and not one of them ever ended up in a ditch. I wish I had some great advice for you, but all I can say is to command them into the care of the Lord and tell them how much you love them as much as you can.

JOANNA - Thanks for all the tips on NYC. I will have to get a map out and figure out where all those places are. Just how far is the walk?

LINDA - Wish you could come, too. I am so used to doing things with just Sandy and I. She is my travel buddy. If you change your mind, let me know.

Craig is home safe and sound now! I'm just thinking though, that this is just the beginning of his real independence. I can't believe how hard it is to have your kids out on their own! I am the type to think the worst, just like Darlene said "you could be laying dead in a ditch somewhere!". lol I do trust Craig, but it's the whole driving thing that worries me; it seems like every week you see on the news where teens were involved in a fatal car accident.

Thanks for all of your replies, it made me feel better to know that others have been through this before me, and have survived. lol I am sure I'll get through this! But I can feel a million new gray hairs sprouting already. lol

Terry - glad Craig made it home safe. I always worry when my kids go out. I prefer to have Harley drive his friends since I know he is responsible and even though I do know most of his friends, I don't know how they drive. Like he said, his friends aren't going to purposedly get in an accident. I have to trust my children, as you do Craig, but it is hard. (My mom is 86 and she still worries when I go out until I come home). Guess it's just part of being a parent.

Terry.. welcome to being a mom of a teen. I let Jaclyn go to the mall with friends.. but our "BIG" mall won't let teens be alone without a parent after 4pm on Friday and Saturday. I trust her and she is just like a canary.. as soon as she gets in the car,, she blabs to me everything that happened.. So far I am lucky we have a very good repor with one another. on the flip side.. she passes for over 18 and never gets stopped by the mall security either. I will not let her drive with friends either. We have had to many fatal accidents here. One school district has had 3-4 deaths yearly for the pass 3 years. If Craig should end up in Sracuse on a road trip.. I will be sure to give you a call,,lol I am joking...

Darlene.. I wanted to go to NYC with Jaclyn as her Christmas gift and do the Radio City Music show too. But with our situation, that would have been her gift... and I think she would have been upset not to have anything to open on Christmas morning. We walked from Grand Central to Central Park. With me and my initial back injury a cane and Daniel was 3 I think.. he walked and we of course shopped along the way.. Sandy can do it just fine... Enjoy yourselves..

Hi All,

I arrived home safe and sound a little bit ago. My mom and I had a very nice ride home, but boy is it cold. At one point this afternoon (in Virginia) we watched the thermostat in my mom's car drop from 57 to 47 degrees in a ten minute span. I'm so glad I had my winter coat with me!!! My mom and I both had delicious crab cakes at the Bay Bridge Tunnel today. I have one more day off, then it's back to work on Wednesday.

Hi Guys

Just a quick catch up, I have been off week for a few days, had to go to the doctors yesterday as this cold had turned into a right stinker. I have also got an ear infection and a chest infection. Feeling very sorry for myself at the moment because I am now going to miss my works Christmas Party on Thursday night as I just dont feel up to it. Never mind I am on antibiotics now, so hopefully I should be up and about in time for Christmas.

Terry - I know how you feel about Craig going it alone, my daughter has now got to the stage where she wants to go shopping and the cinema with her friends and I do worry until I know she is in safe. Of course as she is just 14, I do insist on picking her up if it gets dark, but it doesent stop me worring.

Lynr- So sorry about Bobs cousin, what a terrible tragedy. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Darlene- Would love to come to New York with you Christmas Shopping, but alas it's a little to far for me. Hope you have a great time.

Andy- So glad you are back safe and well, know what you mean about the cold. The weather here in Cardiff is an average of between 39-46 degrees this week. Very Chilly.

Hi and bye everyone. We're leaving early tomorrow morning :space: to fly to Florida for our VOS cruise on Saturday. I am really excited and a little nervous.

I didn't want to leave without wishing all of my new friends a safe and very Merry Christmas. I hope whoever is not feeling well gets better soon and I hope everyone stays well.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise, and please take lots of pictures of the Voyager for me!!! I have another 183 days till I'm sailing on her.

I will probably be gone by the time you get back; we are leaving on December 23rd to drop the boys off in NJ (they spend the holidays with their dad), and then John and I continue on to VA to visit his sister and BIL (the ones that were just on the cruise with us).

Hi Karen we're going to visit Tina and Bill, they're the ones who were on the cruise with us. They live in Ruckersville. It's about a half hour from Charlottesville, but I'm not sure in which direction. As of now we're only staying in VA for 2 nights, but we might be staying a third night, which would give us the day after Christmas. If we do stay that third night, I will email you and see if it's possible for us to meet somewhere. Do you know how far it is between you and Charlottesville??
