Our group of 11 is here for 2 amazing weeks. The first 6 nights we stayed in a 2br villa plus a studio at Beach Club.
Absolutely amazing rooms with partial views of Luminous over the trees. The kids (aged 1, 5, 7 and 10) had a blast at Stormalong bay. The pool was not too busy and despite my fears of not being able to get loungers, there were plenty available. We hit the parks pretty hard for the week and spent 2 days at Epic, which was incredible despite some operational kinks that still need to be worked out. Obviously we took full advantage of the walk to Epcot - I absolutely love the location for BCV. We also enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Ale & Compass, taking advantage of the 40% discount for the Welcome Home weeks, which made it spectacular value!
For the next 8 nights we are splitting our time between the grand villas at SSR and VGF.
SSR is my main home, and I adore the resort so was very much looking forward to trying out the GV. We requested a room in the paddock section close to the pool, and got exactly what we asked for.
The villa was fabulous. Loads of space and the dining area was a great place for the adults to sit and debrief after a day in the parks or a night out at DS.
The walk back from DS to this section of the resort is slightly longer than other areas and takes around 15 mins, but it’s an easy walk.
The view from the balcony is beautiful.

There are excellent running trails around the resort, and a 7am run to keep up with my marathon weekend training (and burn off some of the many calories I have consumed this week) was just what I needed!

Fabulous stay and the kids were very happy with the 30 second walk down to the pool.
We moved over to VGF today. This room was booked at the 7 month mark, using my CCV points, as I don’t own at VGF. We decided to splurge as we have a big group this trip.
What can I say… this villa is absolutely stunning. We are on the fourth floor and have an amazing view over seven seas on to MK (space and Tron visible from the room). The fireworks and music from the balcony are amazing.

As much as I hate to say it, there really is no competition - VGF wins hands down on the room itself. The photos really do not do it justice. However, bell services was not the smoothest, and room cleanliness was not as good as SSR (I will let the front desk know that there were issues… but nothing to get upset about).
Thoroughly looking forward to a resort day tomorrow followed by MNSSHP on Tuesday. We have watched the Halloween fireworks spectacular from the room this evening and I can’t wait to see it up close!
In summary, I may need more points
