Joanna , I am so sorry, I let it slip by.. please tell MITCH... HAPPY BIRTHDAY :bday: although belated..( so do things get better after 50??)

Well, since next week is the 18th, I guess Atlantic city is out..unless you guys are going and I am not invited....

Karen said to say hello, she keeps getting locked out when she sends a message. Terry she sent you an IM.. her leg is still in pain , had an MRI the other day and is waiting for the results. She said a double smoothie is in order...

ok off to the Christmas cards.. :grouphug:
Have a great day
Doreen

Karen and Doreen: That's ok, I know AOL can be very flakey at times. Sorry to hear your knee is still painful, Karen :( Definitely have a double smoothie! :drinking1

Andy: Have an excellent trip!! Are you going to WDW or just visiting other parts of Florida this time? Either way, I hope you and Hazel have great weather, and a lot of fun :sunny:

Bev: I have 2 of those Mickeys....Aren't they great? I have the Mickey Mouseketeer and the Steamboat Willie ones. I love them, they're right sitting on the top of my bookcase next to my desk ::MickeyMo

I'm flying down "solo" this time. I'm arriving Saturday afternoon, and leaving early Sunday morning for the drive back to NJ with my mom. I should be back home by Monday evening. This trip is just to bring my mom "home" for the holidays.

HERE I AM!
Thanks for looking out for me Doreen (my flowergirl princess: ). Someone has to. By the way...what color sarong do you want?

Didn't feel well last night. A little better today but still not myself. Can't wait until tomorrow (Saturday!!!).

Carmen...I love the card...the kids look so cute...maybe I'll get mine out this weekend. We can always hope.

Andy...have a safe trip with your mom. That is so nice that she will be "home" for the holidays. She's staying with Angelina while you and Hazel cruise away for a few days, isn't she? Watching the Magic sail away sounds really relaxing...could be more relaxing...if I were actually ON the Magic sailing away!!! Have fun!

Karen...have you finished all your shopping yet? Don't let the bum leg slow you down. Seriously, hope it starts to feel better soon.

Terry...88 Weeks! Yahoo! Can't wait to :boat: away with all my friends :grouphug: . Thanks for the countdown. Keep them coming.

Happy Birthday to MITCH :cake: ! Hope all your wishes come true!

Happy Hanukkah to all my friends celebrating their faith.

Good morning everyone!! Just a heads up for all you Disney (and QVC) fans. I was scrolling through the program guide when I noticed that Saturday night at 10:00pm (that would be West coast time so it would be 1:00am Sunday morning for you East coast people) QVC is having the "Disney Kitchen" on. The description is as follows: "Make any meal magic with a little help from Mickey Mouse and friends during Disney Kitchen. We’ll bring you fun and innovative kitchen appliances featuring the world’s favorite mouse, from waffle irons and smoothie makers to popcorn poppers, toasters and more. Cook up a little fun in your kitchen with the whole family and don’t miss a magical minute of Disney Kitchen."

Have a great weekend all!!!

She's staying with Angelina while you and Hazel cruise away for a few days, isn't she?

That's the plan as of right now!!!

We just arrived home with Angelina's very special Christmas gift. We have a new addition to the family, a 7 week old kitten named "Stefani" as in Gwen Stefani from the band "No Doubt." As soon as I sat Stefani down she ran under Angelina's bed. I will get some pics later of our new addition. Our 10 year old dog Midnight was not impressed with the newest family member, gee, I wonder why???

I've got to start getting ready for tomorrow morning, luckily I only have to pack a few items. Oh, I can print off my boarding pass, gotta go and do that right now before I forget.

Hey Sandygirl???? Doreen a flowergirl!!! :flower1: I want my sarong FUSCHIA!!(I have it already!!) I am one step ahead of Doreen(even with the bad knee!! :earboy2:(Doreen you know I love you!!! puckerup: )

I am having three smoothies tonite and I might not even take it out of the mixer and just put a straw in it!!!!

Talk to you guys later!!!!! :cool1:

Sorry, Karen...Doreen has first dibs on flowergirl :flower1: . Sandy is of course the Prima Flowergirl (is there such a thing?) :flower: :flower: :flower: But you can wear any color sarong you want...as long as it is tropical...and has huge flower prints...and lots of fringe...and doesn't cover more than one thigh...on second thought...make that "covers everything"! There will be individual photos taken for your displaying pleasure...how about an 11 x 14 for your wall?

Can anyone say "Fashion Police"?

Darlene

Oh you all are too much...I wrapped mostly everything, can you believe it.

CV...Did you get the Christmas cards from DCL, I wanted to also, BUT my older DD didn't cooperate with the picture taking sessions, You know hair and hair and hair, so none came out good. Did anyone else get them.

By the way...I spoke to Cindy last night and she asked me to say HI to all of you.

Glad everyone is doing good, talk to you all later

Oh Survivor, hmmm, I DON'T want Twila, I'm very upset with BOB, LOL I think I want him to win, for getting so far, BUT he should have voted off Twila last night I think he blew it.

And apprentice, that is even tougher, Jenn is impressive and so is Kelly. I think I have to at this point, without seeing the outcome of the task they had to perform I would go with Kelly.

HI JOANNA :wave2: !

I need some advice from my NY friends. I would like to take Sandy into the city one day before Christmas to see the store windows and the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center. Any suggestions, advice, warnings? Keep in mind I don't know anything about the city or getting there or getting around. Just reading my last few sentences makes me want to say "what are you nuts!". Should I attempt it? Or not?

Darlene

Darlene,

My FUSCHIA sarong is of MM icon. Bought at Downtown disney!!!
Alot of fringe!! I may need to buy another one to cover more then one thigh!!!
We will definitely have to use the WIDE Lens!!!! :flower1: :flower:

Darlene:

Being from your neck of the woods I thought I would give you an idea. The last time I went to Radio City Music Hall I took the bus from the Trailways Depot in Mt Laurel and then I took a cab over to Rockefeller Center. It really worked out much better than driving. No your not nuts I think it is a fabulous place and a great way to get some Christmas spirit. If I had time I would go with you.

Hi everyone:

Sorry I haven't been around for awhile we had a death in the family that has kept us busy.

Bob's cousin in Holland who he is very close to, "Willie" was stabbed to death. It of course took us by surprise and I tried to get Bob a ticket to go over for the funeral but at $2400 there was no way. We have spent the last week trying to find out exactly what happened but the police in Europe don't really operate the same way we do here. The newspapers don't give out much information either, they just say a man was killed by a 17 year old, they don't even mention Willie's name. All we know is that he was killed by a boy that used to live next store to him and it happened in Willie's home. I assume it was robbery since Willie owned his own business and was known to keep large amounts of money in the house. I guess once they release the police report to the family we will find out more.

I hope everyone is doing well, I haven't had a chance to catch up on all the pages yet.

Lyn

Lyn:

I am so sorry to hear about Bob's cousin. That is horrible :( :( I can't imagine what shock that must've been for the family :( I hope you can eventually get some answers to what happened.

LYN - Your post took my breath away. I can't imagine how difficult this is for you and Bob. Being so far away and not being able to get adequate information has to be frustrating. I am so sorry for your loss and the complications surrounding it.

Darlene

Lyn...I am so sorry about Bob's cousins, what a tragedy. Please send Bob our deepest Sympathy.

Darlene...We usually try to go every year. I am unsure about this year though. Our first stop is Macy's and Santa Land, That is always fun, while waiting on line it is decorated beautifully, with fun things for the kids to see. Second stop FAO Schwartz, great toy shop to enjoy. Then on to the tree, by the way we do this all on foot, when Samantha was little we took cabs, but now it is on foot. Then for dinner, we go to Carmine's in the theater district. Are you doing this alone? You know you may be able to still grab some Christmas Spectacular tickets to Radio City. On the walk back, walk on 5th Avenue to enjoy the store windows.

Sigh, I am tired already.

Joanna

Lynr - I am so sorry about your loss! Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Ok, I need some reassurance from some of you!! This is a big day in my life and Craig's life, and I'm having a heart attack here!!

It's 4:30pm and I just let Craig out with his friend Andrew. Andrew is driving, they are going to a mall to walk around, and maybe see a movie, and grab a bite to eat. I didn't give Craig an exact curfew because they aren't sure if they're going to see a movie or not. I am SOOOO nervous! Craig has never been out alone with his friends before!!!! I totally trust him and his friends, but this is all new to me. My baby is growing up! He's going on 17 (in March), so I know I need to let him do this. Any of you have kids that go out with their friends, alone, yet????? I gave him my cell phone, so at least I can contact him any time I want, and he can call us if he needs us. BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I feel such a mix of emotions!!! :worried: :hyper:  :faint: :upsidedow :tilt:

Terry...No, my DD is only 13 BUT as long as YOUR car works, follow them LOL Just kidding. I can't imagine how you feel.

Lyn - I'm very sorry to hear about Bob's cousin. I hope you get answers soon.

Terry - I definitely understand what you are going through. Does Craig drive? When Harley first got his license 2 years ago, I didn't let him drive by himself for a long time. The first time he went out by himself, I was a nervous wreck and couldn't wait until he came home. I still get nervous when he goes out. Even though he has a cell phone, it doesn't always get a signal and many times when I call him, he doesn't answer right away but eventually he will call me. So don't worry if you call Craig and he doesn't answer. Also, when Harley goes out and isn't sure where or what he's doing, I ask him to take that 1 minute to call me and let me know where he is going. He also has a curfew of being in by midnight or calling to let me know if he's going to be late. If he doesn't call and comes in late, he loses going out another time. (It doesn't happen too often). I know I'm too possessive of him, and he said he's used to it so he tries to call me. Harley will be 19 in March but to me he's still my little boy. It is hard to let go. (I'm even worse with Lindsay, who's 17, and I still drive her and her friends around). And I'm so protective of her on a cruise, that she usually gets angry at me. I'm sure Craig and his friends will be fine and remember "no news is good news".
