Go to my mother's for Sunday dinner (Yes, Ravioli and meat sauce, meatballs, sausage, and spare ribs) when I get back there are three pages to read.

Lets start with WELCOME to SUE AND ANDY and families!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guarantee room vs assigned. IMO I would rather have assigned.

Who said they are going on Carnival in 2005?

Who is going on RCCL on 2005?

Joanna

We're on RCI's Voyager of the Seas in 2005 :sunny:

Joanna:

We are going on Carnival 2005. June 26th Carnival, Miracle.
We are cruising out of Tampa. We have just made our reservations for Disney, since the cruise leaves on Sunday we are spending Thurs - Sunday in Disney. I still managed to make Disney a part of our vacation.

My family is going on the Voyager of the Seas 12/18/04. Hated RCCL in 96 when we did the Sovereign of the Seas but everyone is telling me the VOS is fantastic and that after doing the VOS we won't want to do DCL. I doubt that could ever happen

I have a timeshare and have exchanged for the Disneyworld area for the past 18 years. I'm not tired of Disney yet and according to my family "I'm obsessed with Disney" and it's getting worse as I get younger each year. lol

I booked the Wonder for 8/05 but would rather cancel it for 8/06. At this time, I can't afford to put out another deposit of $1000. I probably will do a Carnival cruise in 8/05 to save money for "06. I know nobody does it like Disney. :earsboy:

Terry...but you are going early in the year, I have to go after camp ends in August.

Steve and Bobby...OH BOY, you two together, this is going to be fun. Scheming already on how to get the better views.

Andy...Aren't you cruising in April and October? I'm not sure which year though.

Just got an e mail from my friend and she wants to look into cruising Rosh Hashanna next year. She LOVES to spend my money LOL

Joanna

WOW I can't keep up. LOL

Lyn...You also are going in June, too early for me.

Bev...Where do you own your timeshare? We own at Vistana Resort and LOVE it. We are going spring break this year.

I am sure you will love the Voyager and by the way have a drink for me on embarkation as 12/18 is my birthday. I have heard people say that RCCL is awesome. I really want to try another line, just to try it. As far as price only Carnival seems to be less expensive, but not that much less anymore for their newer ships. RCCL is right up there with DCL

By the time I click on post I'm sure there will be 2 new messages. LOL

And Frankly, I really dont care what others think...Sorry....

Bobby

Personally this comment was totally uncalled for.

I really love spending time with my family and have never explored getting to know people on the ship. After 3 cruises and 2+ years on the boards I decided to participate in a thread that was for an upcoming cruise (8/19).

I will have to say there have been more unpleasant moments in the last couple of weeks than anything else so if it is all the same to you folks we will stick to ourselves.

Have a great cruise.

Hazel and I are cruising on the Special 4 day sailing of the Magic from January 4-8, 2005 with DIS'er friends from Florida; then we will be sailing again on the Magic from October 15-22, 2005 to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. My mom will be coming up here to NJ to stay with Angelina while we take the two cruises in 2005.

Wow Andy thats nice of your mom.... If I lived in Florida there is no way I would come to NJ in January...LOL

Joanna:

We kind of had no choice of when to cruise in 2005 because we're cruising with my brothers and SILs and that was the only time that was good for all of us. Otherwise, we would've waited till later in the summer to cruise.

My mom is flying up on 12-14-04 and will be staying up here until 1-12-05 to spend the Holidays with all of her kids and grandkids. BTW, my mom is "NOT" like me in one aspect, she actually likes the snow. My dream upon retirement is to spend November through April in Florida. The sooner I get away from the winter weather, the better!!!

I guess this makes post #6500, wow, where has the time gone!!!

Wow, This thread moves very fast.

We will be sailing on the RCCL Voyager of the Seas in 2005.

We have sailed on both the Wonder and the Magic.

We have had cat11 GTY twice and ended up in a cat8 and a cat10.

This time we are in a Cat11 with an assigned room.

We have the early seating.

Darlene - Yes, it did seem like quite a few people were from NJ on our last ctuise.

Joanna,

I wasn't sure if your saw my post yesterday telling you about the Norwegian Dawn? It is a new ship & might be worth checking out.

Diane

Diane...Thanks, I just went on their site tonight and it is down for maintenance, So I will check tomorrow

Joanna

Your welcome Joanna! Please post when you decide whichever cruise to take.

Diane

edited due to really bad grammer!

Joanna,

I own a week of timeshare in Myrtle Beach and 2 weeks in the Poconos. I have been very lucky over the last 18 years to be able to exchange for the Disney area. My daughter actually took her first steps at Orange Lake Country Club. We've stayed at Vistana 4 times. This past August we stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacation Villas. I usually book a cruise in August to tie in with the timeshare week.

Guess I should book my '06 timeshare week for the week of 8/12/06. lol
