Joanna,

I own a week of timeshare in Myrtle Beach and 2 weeks in the Poconos. I have been very lucky over the last 18 years to be able to exchange for the Disney area. My daughter actually took her first steps at Orange Lake Country Club. We've stayed at Vistana 4 times. This past August we stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacation Villas. I usually book a cruise in August to tie in with the timeshare week.

Guess I should book my '06 timeshare week for the week of 8/12/06. lol

37 pages for October and still 2 yrs away.. can we break 100 by December??

:grouphug: Doreen

August 12th I think is the week I own LOL

Diane I sure will let you all know if we book something.

Tell me about the Dawn, did you have kids with you? How is the food? How are the shows the cleanliness of the ship etc etc etc

Thanks
Joanna

Colestat - Welcome Sue & family. I have added you guys to our list!

All - I spend one afternoon at a bbq and I have four pages to read! I guessed 550 pages in two years time. Maybe it will be more than that!

Yes we had our kids 9 & 6 at the time. They both loved the kid's prgm. It runs from 9-12, 2-5, then 7-10. It was $5 per child per hour thereafter I believe. The food was really good. I would say comparable to Disney. I really liked being able to choose between 10 restaurants & being able to sit wherever & eat whenever we wanted...even 24hrs a day. Ship was very clean. In fact they were cleaning constantly around the ship. We had towel animals & chocolates every night. They did a huge chocolate buffet one afternoon. Some of the shows were really good. They did an Andrew Lloyd Webber type show, a Miami Salsa show & Bollywood, which had a lot of music & acrobats. Beyond that I believe was a comedian, juggler, magician...Their itinerary is Port Canaveral, Miami, Nassau & Great Stirrup Cay (their private island which doesn't compare to Castaway Cay). They also do a 10 nt caribbean cruise. The Port Canaveral stop includes excursions to DW but we prefer to just hit the beach & do Disney on our own time.

I know I've said it before but we are cruising her again in April.

Anything else you want to know, just let me know!
Diane

Happy Monday Morning,
Anyone have the day off? My kids of course no school. It is only going to be in the 50's today. The chill is in the air. I wan't to finish my wedding favors and get them packed. I am mailing them to Hotel. I would like to make a list of things to pack. Hope everyone has a great day ! :sunny: Tina

Good Morning everyone...

Diane Thanks for the info, you make me want to cruise the NCL Dawn, Hey maybe I will

Mary Rose...I said the same thing, go to my moms for dinner and I get back to 3 plus pages, gotta love it. Our list is really growing.

Tina...My kids are off today but not me :(

Talk to you all later

Joanna

Yes, I have the day off from work :) and Angelina has the day off from school :)

It is so nice to have this three day weekend!!!

We will be going down to visit my mom in Florida during Jersey Week in November. I have off Election Day, Angelina has a half of school day on that day as well, then she has the rest of the school week off for Teacher's In-Service, followed by the NJ Teacher's Convention. We have a 3pm flight on Election Day and come back the following Monday. We are so looking forward to spending a few days in the "WARM" Florida sun!!!

We are also planning on hooking up with some DIS'er friends, that live near my mom, while we are down there. We met them in August for dinner at Dixie Crossroads, and they are a very dear family.

Have a good day everyone!!! :wave2:

I need one...Will be splitting firewood for the winter today...

I asked the kids to help, but the run..hahaha

Everyone have a great Day

Bobby

Wow Andy sounds like you have quite the reputation for yourself. I am now getting excited to meet you. lol Tina

Bobby: I noticed your from Long Island. Where about? I was born in West Hempstead and I have family in Stonybrook. Grandparents used to live in Garden City. My Mom is from Freeport. My Godparents also lived in Lawrence. :sunny: Tina

We now live in Port Jefferson Station..

First moved to long Island 4 years ago to Lindenhurst...

We are originally from Brooklyn..

Bobby

Hi Bobby, I know where that is. My father was born in Brooklyn. Do you like it or prefer Brooklyn? I have been living upstate for a long time now. It is really pretty this time of year. The winter's are brutal !!! Tina

In my defense may I say this, in person I tend to be very shy and reserved until I get to know someone. So, if I don't come up and talk to everyone off the bat, please understand that is just my nature. Once I get to know someone and loosen up, then I talk freely, and sometimes too much, LOL!!!

On the other hand, Hazel is the "outgoing" person of our family, I rely on her quite often to break the ice.

Love it out here....BUT

Really miss Brooklyn...The Pizza, The Bagels...haha

We also go upstate alot...Have property In between Oneonta and Cooperstown...

Bobby

Hi Bobby,
Oh the bagels...........My favovite thing. Or how about Jr's cheesecake ? You are making me hungry. You have the best of both worlds then. Your property is farther up then me. I am near canandaigua lake. About 30 min. from Rochester. Sure you heard of that. Future husband really wants to move to Fla. when kids are of age. Not sure I could stad heat all the time. Tina

That's o.k Andy. We have 2 years to get to know each other. I am a little shy myself. I haven't cruised with anyone on these boards before. I am jumping with both feet in.:sunny: Tina

Good morning to all of you who are off today! Sandy's school is closed but I am at work. Boo Hoo.

Andy - Sandy and I have a flight home from WDW on Election Day. Maybe we will pass in the airport.

All the talk about bagels, cheesecakes, pizza made me hungry. Way to go guys. :(

Darlene,

Shouldn't you be going down to Florida during Jersey Week instead of coming home??? LOL!!!

Yea, all this talk about food, and I'm sitting here sipping my bottle of water. I put myself back on a diet after our last cruise. Since September 1st, I have now lost 15 pounds. My "GOAL" is to lose 50 pounds by my 50th Birthday in April 2005. I lost 56 pounds back in 1997, but with having three knee surgeries, being out of work for six months, and being on crutches for 12 weeks in 2001, all that weight found it's way back on. As long as I stay away from the sweets, I will do just fine!!!
