thank you for responding, I'm still very excited about meeting
your family - I am also the outgoing one in the family, my
DH Bob is the quiet one until you also get to know him.
Disney is his life - just get him talking about anything that
involves Disney and you'll be 'stuck' with him for a very long time.
I love meeting people and I feel like I've just met hundreds
of people on this board......Andy, I also LOVE my sweets,
and just joined WW, it is only my first week on WW and
I'm craving a chocolate souffle!- Lucy

Lucy,

Hazel started on WW this past March and lost 30 pounds, I'm doing Herbalife (again). It worked for me last time, I'm trusting it is going to work for me again. I just have to be real careful (sweets) on our 4 day cruise in January.

Darlene,

Shouldn't you be going down to Florida during Jersey Week instead of coming home??? LOL!!!

Yea, all this talk about food, and I'm sitting here sipping my bottle of water. I put myself back on a diet after our last cruise. Since September 1st, I have now lost 15 pounds. My "GOAL" is to lose 50 pounds by my 50th Birthday in April 2005. I lost 56 pounds back in 1997, but with having three knee surgeries, being out of work for six months, and being on crutches for 12 weeks in 2001, all that weight found it's way back on. As long as I stay away from the sweets, I will do just fine!!!

Jersey Week is crazy! Sandy is not in public school so she doesn't have off anyway. I booked a long weekend trip for Halloween. We have never been there for Halloween before. I have off on Election Day so that meant only taking one day off (Monday). Plus I got $49 each way airfare, couldn't pass that up! Now that Stan is not well I considered canceling. I'm taking it a day at a time, but think we may still go. If he is able to drive and get around pretty well by then, I may leave him in the competent care of my family. And to tell you the truth I think I'm going to need a break by then. Warm sunshine baking my bones sounds like good therapy to me.

Have fun Jersey Week!

Does anyone have any pictures of the ship that shows the starboard side near the front? Last time we cruised I was (on the other side of the ship) able to pin-point our stateroom and I loved seeing it every day. I'd love to do the same thing but I'm on the other side of the ship now.

Thanks!

Hi All

Wow - Go to bed, wake up, go to work, sign back on and there are five pages of posts for me to read- fantastic. I guess my absured guess at the number of pages we will make might not be so absured after all.

Welcome to everybody who has joined since I was last here.

Andy - Received the photos, they look fantastic, thanks for sending them, have you got that anniversary present sorted yet?

Well after reading all your posts I decided today to purchase a smoothie maker, just taken it out of the box and realised I need to buy fruit and the like to put in it to make it work duh! So back to the shops tomorrow after I read the instuctions on what to purchase to make a smoothie. Wish me luck!! Are they simple to use? Dont think I will be able to bring it with me though, all the way from the UK, got to think of my luggage allowence for souveniers.

Lovley day here today in South Wales UK ,sun shining, but a bit chilly. Is there anyone else on this thread from the UK?

Speak soon

Sue

Hi Sue :)

I am tempted to go out and buy a Smoothie maker too :teeth: Let me know how yours works after you make your first smoothie.

It sounds like we're having similar weather. I live in the northeast of the US, and it's sunny but with a nice cool breeze, today.

I'm not from the UK, but our good friend and accountant (she's also my "boss", I work 1 day a week for her) is from Manchester in England. She lives here in Massachusetts, on Cape Cod, and her dad is here in the US right now visiting for a few weeks. How far are you from England, and from Manchester? I would love to visit your area some day. Do you have any castles near where you live?? :)

Hi Terry

I will let you know how the first smoothie turns out, if it's drinkable that is .(must remember to remove any pips first from the fruit, dont want to choke before I go on my next cruise lol).

I live very close to the border between England and Wales about 1/2 hour drive to the nearest place in England. I am about 140 -150 miles from Manchester and this would take about 2 1/2 hours driving depending on weather and traffic, so not that far really. I was in Manchester just 2 weeks ago with my job. Did you know that the whole area of WDW is the approx size of Manchester.(just a bit of trivia for you.)

Believe it or not I live 5 mins walk from my nearest Castle here in the capital of Wales, Cardiff. It is a lovley castle not far from the new Millenium Stadium where all the important Rugby and Football matches are held. We also have 2 other castles about 12 miles from us at Caerphilly and Castle Coch. Castle Coch is know as the fairy Castle as it looks just like that- a magical fairy castle, many people here get married there.

I am very lucky that although I live in a major busy city you only have to travel a short distance to see the wonderful green hills of Wales.

Oh I didn't know smoothie makers were for fruit, I thought they were for frozen alcoholic drinks.

Joanna

Hi Joanna

I'm sure I can make them too. I am Just reading through the instructions and I think you can pretty much make whatever kind of smoothie you like, fruit, frozen yought, ice cream, gosh this is going to cost me a fortune tomorrow in shopping lol. Anybody out there who have used these before, have any good recipes for me, alcholic or non alcholic?

Sue

Joanna,, lol.. you can make anything with them. Add icecream and Milk and you get a great milkshake. I do like the wine slushies we had on the ship, yummie:))

I am not found of fruit,, but I do eat banana smoothies. They are better when you add the fruit to the freezer over night. Something has to be frozen besides the ICE.
(Beware of GINNY stealing all the ice though).
:smooth:
We are getting ready for CONFIRMATION here next weekend ( for those Catholics on board) so we have been cleaning as long as I have both kids home today.

TINA,, when is the WEDDING? and what is everyone wearing? on the Island>> What CAPTAIN will it be,, I love weddings.. so much I've done 2 already,,lol...

GOD BLESS SUPER MANS FAMILY... CHRISTOPHER REEVES FAMILY>>>long may his spirit fly :sad2:

Doreen

I'm signing off for the day and looking forward to
tomorrow morning  on what page we will
be on again.

GO to any your search engine and type in SMOOTHIES.. and a whole list of sites should pop up. I add what ever I have in the freezer. Remember to add less liquids to make it thick..I did use a Strawberry Dauqori mix that was non-alcohol that was great too.

Have fun creating.

Hi Folks!

Well, I only posted once to say that this was our cruise and now my second post to the thread to say that we're not on this cruise. I had transferred my rebooking to Dreams and when the dates opened up, I was hoping for this cruise AND "our" room 8532. Don't get me wrong, I love Dreams but somehow in the transfer they got me waitlisted for 8532. I got a call today from DCL and we got "our" room for the 8/5 cruise so I am not going to push my luck, and I will switch dates. I just hope Dreams can make the switch because I don't have another $750 to put down with the new deposit requirements.(Don't know why they called me or still had the reservation requests butwho cares...it's my room!!!!) Send some pixie dust my way.

I am sad that I will not be joining you, it has been alot of fun to "lurk" on the thread because for the most part, everyone was so happy and friendly. I hope my new cruise buddies are just as lively!!!

Have a great cruise everyone!!!! I know I will now that I have my room back!!!!!!!

Best Wishes to everyone!!!!!

:wave2: :wave2: :wave2:
