Calling All 8/19/06 Special Western Cruisers! AKA "The Cruisin' Castaways" Part 2

Hahahahah.....I love the idea of back-to-back Wonders next summer.

We've got a land-and-sea trip planned for this time next August. I know another cruisin castaway family is doing the same. I think we may be getting on the Wonder when they get off, or vice versa.

I would do back-to-back Wonders in a heart beat but we don't go to WDW that often so this "forces" us to spend some time at the parks.

Sorry to hear about the Montezuma revenge......that is everyone's worst fear. DS and I had a bit of a sour stomach early on in the cruise but after two great meals in Mexico we both felt better. Go figure.

Good morning. Well, include me on the sick list.. I have been so sick the last few days. I was hit with the POTATOE ALLERGY illness last night. I guess when the kids had their french fries and used my dips.. I got the juices from them.. and got violently ill.. I thought I was dying.. OMG. its so painful to be so sick.. Thank good ness for zantac and maalox

I too have have the sore throat and general malaise for the past few days.. Feeling a bit better today..

I can only see the small version of that picture because of a block on this work computer, when I click on it to see the larger version, it won't allow it, so I'll have to wait until I get home. I can tell that it's from the Rockin Bar D....the first night or second night?? LOL

The 4-night Wonder goes to Nassau in the Bahamas, 1 day at sea, and Castaway Cay. The 3-night Wonder only has a day at sea and a stop at Castaway Cay. You sort of lose a day doing back to backs, because one of the days in the middle is the day the ship goes back to Port Canaveral. But you don't have to get off the ship, you just have to leave your cabin from 9am until after lunch while they clean it, and most people have said they just go up to Deck 9 and relax by the pool during that time, and/or hang out in the Cove Cafe. When I mentioned the idea of doing back to back Wonders next summer to John last night before bed he actually didn't spontaneously combust like I thought he would, so maybe it's a possibility?!?!? LOL


Mary Rose: I was just doing some paperwork and my mind wandered back to our cruise and to the Fury Catamaran excursion, and to when you said "Now I know that NOBODY looks good in a bathing suit because....." So I was literally laughing out loud so a couple of my co-workers asked what was so funny, so not only did I explain the story, I actually had to draw a picture, so they could get a visual of why I was laughing. I'm sorry, but I laugh out loud every time I think of that!!!!!!!! You really made me laugh a lot during the cruise last week!!! I love your sense of humor and how you view things. You're like a female Jerry Seinfeld!!

Terry I have to agree with you about MARY ROSE, she does make you laugh.. her sense of humor kept me going through out this cruise for sure..
As for you.. I can see it now how you laugh out loud and your co-workers are looking at you...lol

Daniel just reminded me of a nightmare i had last night.. I guess I woke up at midnight screaming,,lol... dont remember that part..

The first night home I did think I was on the ship and when I got up .. I was walking in my bedroom as if it were the cabin.. it was so strange..

We are back in NJ. We spent 3 days at the Caribbean Beach resort after the cruise before driving home on Tuesday, arriving last night around 6:00 PM

The cruise was great and it was fun meeting so many DISers.

Joyce (FamOf8): Thank you for being at the right place at the right time. The video you took as we approached the Roy Suite for the first time is priceless. I plan to post it to our Disney vacation site in the near future

Andy (Verandahman) Thank you for the use of your laptop. For those who don’t know we had two with us on our trip, but both were left behind in Daytona Beach (Aunt’s Condo) so we had no inexpensive way to dump photos and video until I spoke with Andy and he graciously volunteered.

While visiting with Chuck Maida (All Seasons Travel) he explained that the Med Repo back to PC is over the Saturday before Labor Day. Since NJ starts school after LD I really want to try to get on that cruise. The reality is it probably won’t happen since my wife doesn’t want to fly (especially not all the way to Barcelona).

We will do 08/08 and hopefully many of us will choose the same date.

In the interim, I am determined to get back on the Magic in 2007.

It was a real pleasure meeting everyone, especially ANDY & TERRY, It seemed everytime we turned around, one of you guys were there. Well, we still haven't heard about our luggage either. After the Magic returns on Saturday, if the bag doesn't get off, I'll have to file a Access America claim. Can you believe that with all the airline restrictions I had all my jewelry (most of it costume) and all my makeup (expensive and heavy duty to fill in all my cracks and crevices) packed in there, as well as a bag a souveniers, John's suit, Two formal outfits of mine, and a bag of laundry. But the here is the funny thing. For those who were with us at Grill's and at the Rad WE LOST JOHN'S INFAMOUS WALMART SHOES IN THAT BAG!!!! Isn't that hysterical! We drove 50 miles out of our way for those shoes and now THEY'RE LOST!! That kills me LOL! Also, if you can remember, I forgot all of my son's long pants at home and didn't find out until the boat. So we had to buy him a pair of Dockers in the Magic Store. THEY COST US $69.50!!!!!!!! AND IF THAT ISN'T BAD ENOUGH, WE LOST THEM IN THE BAG TOO!! Come on now THAT'S FUNNY!

We are def going to do a 7 day in August 2008, I have promised Vicki, as it will be her 18th birthday on the 17th August 2008. As you know we cancelled this cruise due to Vickis exam results and the hope that if she passed that we would need to be here for her to register for her chosen subject at college, and Im over the moon to tell you all that she passed with flying colours, we went immedaitely to the collage on the same day and registered. So she starts Sept 6th doing a B-Tech national diploma in Multi Media Studies.

As devastated as we were to cancel the cruise, to see her coming out of school(well running actually) telling me she had passed was magic enough for us.

Now we are looking forward to a fantastic holiday at the Dolphin arriving on October 28th, so if any of you are at WDW around that time, we would love to see you.

OMG,. Mary Rose I am in tears here.. I can hear you talking about the shoes.. The poor shoes.. They looked so good on JOHN .. I cant believe all that stuff is gone. Your are such a trip..

When we got to the TSA agent one of my makeup bags was tucked inside my carry on.. he started to toss some of my lotions. I said ok.. than it was my CLINIQUE makeup one by one.. 2, 3, 4,5,6 items,,, and RUDE... I said ok, I will go and check this luggage in..
He was RUDE and told me he would personally escort me to the ticket counter to check it in and if I tried to re-enter with the stuff still on my person he would see to it that I would be persecuterd to the fullest extent of the law..
I told the guy it was a true accident that it was in there..They have to do their job.. but he didnt have to be so rude...

you think I can afford to sail again so soon.. yeah if I dont want to have a life this year at all...lol Dont forget my kids go to pvt schools..lol.. Send me more customers for Lia Sophia and I will be there.. now that I wouldnt want to go.. heck book me now.. What would the cost be. I would take an inside room if i had too.. It would be a let down from what we had.. but.....
Where does it go.. no dont ask.. its to tempting...yes tell me.. no...dont..

ANDY.. I too took a turn for the better today.. But I am just so darn tired.. This really wiped me out but good.

Karen is still in FLORIDA at the MAGIC KINGDOM.. She said it was very windy there.. but the storm never came... But did you guys see HURRICANE JOHN on the WEST COAST?? I never heard of such a thing.. My prayers to all those effected by ERNESTO and JOHN...

Hi everyone
Is anyone else still unpacking??? LOL. I wanted to thank everyone for how friendly and open everyone was to our family. If it wasn't for all of you (esp Andy, Hazel, Angelina, Doreen, Terry, Joyce and her fam of 8, and so many more) we would have been wandering around like lost puppes. You guys really made the trip a once of a lifetime experience for us (although hopefully it won't be our LAST Disney cruise - we already booked a throwaway and are waiting for those 2008 dates to come out! )
I'm still finishing up our trip report and hopefully will have it posted soon.

All the pictures everyone has posted are awesome. Especially since we've tried to describe "Mr XOP" and just couldn't do him justice. Those pictures will help!
