Pretty neat about Jude's family. Thanks for the info.

Anna.....one more thing....LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the Mickey ears for the doors. The was so neat. I don't know why the rest of us never thought of this? Thank You so much for doing this for all of us. How long did it take you to cut out all of those ears?

The rain is here. There goes many of our weekend plans. I was really looking forward to my DD's soccer tounament. This was the one thing that put a positive spin on me getting off the ship. At least it is not hot since we are still waiting for the new piece for our AC. At least on the Magic when I had problems with our bed, they brought me a new one within a couple of hours. Life in the real world.............

Doreen..........I will be on NORTHERN BLVD again this weekend........this just makes me chuckle. You work where again? :lmao:

(Someone please remind me how to reprint part of post to reply to so I don't do it this way again? Thanks.)

Reverse Cinderella......hahaha......I feel just like that.

I loved the Mickey ears on the door. I was going to take them down on Friday but I decided to leave them on the door (wonder if they got taken down between cruises).

Yes, seven days was not enough to get a chance to met everyone. Its like we needed another onboard DIS meet later in the week. I'm sure I passed you guys all the time.

Speaking of which.....we kept on running into the family in Walt Suite all the time - even off the ship. Terrific family. So we knew both families in the cat 1 suites (which meant neither Slash nor the Royal family were in the top room category).

I bought the "Twice the Magic" t-shirt on the second CC day and I don't like the way it fits. I'll see how it feels after it gets washed. I did buy a t-shirt from the beach club we went to in Costa Maya and that shirt fits great and its this brilliant red color with a yellow fish on it.

Yes, we await the monsoon of rain coming from Ernesto. What a terrible way to end the summer. So far the sun only came out once this week and that was yesterday afternoon. And its been chilly, too.

I really, really miss the cruise....

Ok, I couldn't resist.... :teeth:

I just went onto All Seasons Travel's web site (www.allseastravel.com) and got prices for back-to-back Wonder cruises for next August! :teacher:

I booked the 08/18/07 sailing of the Wonder a couple of months back which I will be transferring to All Seasons Travel.

I haven't given hope for a 7 day cruise in 2007. This booking will be a nice trip since we haven't been on the Wonder since 2002, but I want to try to pull off another 7 day maybe in October.

Cruisin' Castaways 2008 will be hopefully be another "royal" event.

Last year I put in a request for a cat 1 for July 1, 2008 (anniversary) but Missy likes cruising at the end of the summer. She prefers to have a nice long vacation before school starts so I amended my cat 1 request for either 08/16/08 or 08/23/06.

I think we are leaning (hoping) for the 23rd since going to WDW before the cruise works better for us than after.

We would also like to do another eastern but the early rumors are that the 16th will be an eastern, not the 23rd.

What is everyone else hoping for?

Jeff

Speaking of Carnival.. LYNN.. our dear friend. We went to SENIOR FROGS .. about 14 of us and we sat there in VERY LOUD LOUD music.. and waited for you.. we finally figured out that you were not coming..:(.. :confused3 someone had mentioned that the CARNIVAL cruise did not turn the clocks back as we did.. so we were actually an hr late to see you.. We got so excited when we saw a Carnival ship in port.. Please tell us what happened to you two??

Doreen: I was there also waiting for you we must have just missed everyone. As proof I am attaching a picture of the Magic that I took out of the window there. We were very sad to not see everyone :sad1:

Carnival did stay on ships time so that was probably the problem. We docked further down than the Magic did so we took a cab over to Senor Frogs. I did see Travis and his friend and I told him to tell everyone I said hello.

I am glad to see that everyone had a great time and so did we.

Terry, love the photos.. they are really good!

In planning mode again for the med cruise next year, flights open next month so am keeping a watchful eye on flights from here to Barcelona and then Orlando to Shannon - 14 nights yipee! Thank God I have something to distract me!

And hoping that some of our new US friends will make a stopover here prior to their onwards travel too!

Jeff, hoping for Alaska or a third ship in 2008.. that would be really cool!

Shirley, what a great report! And your gift to us was absolutely fantastic! It has about ten uses now! And the embroidery is beautiful. You are a talented woman!!

Jude, if the bags were taken from off your fish mail, let me know and I will post more!

Anna, everytime I saw you I was always rushing.. so thank you so much for the Mickey ears and the magnets.. they came home with us and will get to go on the med cruise too!

Kristi, I hope you, Doug and Kelsey made it home safely.. Caoimhe is looking for Kelsey's address to write to her!

Plan plan plan.. no time for work..M.

Lyn: I am SO SAD that we missed you :( :( It looks like you had a good time though :) We had fun there, but the servers kept mixing up our orders, and it was so loud in there, it was a little difficult to try and hear them and to try and explain things. lol Ah, maybe next time?? :teeth:

Jeff: I'd like to do an eastern in 2008, unless the majority of my DIS friends end up doing a western. I'd LOVE it if the 23rd was an eastern, as I prefer the later dates too, although the 16th would be a little better in terms of not having to worry about the kids missing any school in the event of another hurricane cruise. lol So as of right now, we're looking at the 16th and 23rd, also. Itinerary, price, and who else is cruising when, will determine which we choose :)

I'm glad that everyone is enjoying the pictures on my site. :3dglasses I'll have time to finish the page this weekend.

I have a question for everyone: Which format do you like better; this year's cruise with ALL of the pictures on one long page, or 2004 cruise where I have separate links for each set of pictures/category. I don't know if the all-on-one-page format takes too long for some people's computers to download or not. Let me know, I can always change it to the many-links format :)

Exactly what we are thinking. An eastern would be better, but as you mentioned there are other considerations. I can't wait for the 2008 rates to come out.

Maybe DCL will surprise us with a southern like the Wonder is doing this month. That would be cool!

It looks like we are all looking at the same 2 weeks in 2008. I agree with Terry. I'd like to do the Eastern, but would prefere to be with this group of happy travelers instead. There are things I would like to do the next time in Mexico anyway, including buying my DS a shirt that lasts longer than one washing. Maybe I'll turn it into a pillow so he can salvage some of it.

Hi Julia :wave2:

I'm glad you had a chance to meet Craig on the cruise. He ended up coming down with a cold and sore throat for the last few days and went to bed right after dinner those last few nights. The other nights he came with my husband and I to see the shows in Rockin' Bar D.

Did you come to the DIS meet? :) I'm not sure if I met you or not?! lol I still have to post the pictures from the DIS meet on the first day of the cruise.

Well break time is almost over. Then at noon we're having a quarterly meeting, and the company is providing lunch. It was nice to not have to pack a lunch for myself this morning :teeth: LOL

Have a great day everyone! I miss all the chatting! :chat:

No, I didn't come to the dis meet, I meet up with the girl Lindsay when it was happening though

Yep!!! As of this time, my family is looking at August 23, 2008 for our next possible 7 day cruise.

We're looking at 8/16/08. Labor Day is September 1st in 2008 and we don't want to be returning from the cruise on Labor Day weekend with the kids starting school a few days later. We need a week to recover.

But then again, we are talking two years from now and the kids will be that much older.

Of course, everything depends on what DCL is scheduling. We're open to either an eastern or western. We've only done westerns and I'd be happy to do it again.

And we'd have to see if there is a big price difference between the third week in August and the fourth week in August.

Do you all prefer a specific date or a specific itinerary?

I already know I'm going on three cruises Freedom of the seas on September 10th, only days away now. Wonder 4-day March 11th for my birthday and the repo to the med my uncle and aunt are rich so yeah, my dad and I are planning to go on the magic is august 2008, since he will be saving and I don't have to go on the med one my aunt and uncle payed, my dad wont be going on that one.

AWESOME

Terry - thank you for the leis
Tina - thank you for the pens and all the gifts and fish mail
Doreen - thank you for the bubbles
Anna - thank you for the magnets
Mary Rose - thank you for the pins, magnets and glow sticks
Diane - thank you for the name tags

Thank you all for making this such a MAGICal cruise.

Andy, Hazel, Angelina, Vi, Dori and Devin - we enjoyed sitting with you at dinner.

I have so many wonderful memories and so many pictures but where did the week go. It went by so fast. Didn't even mind not meeting my Prince Charming because "A dream is a wish your heart makes" & I do believe someday my Prince will come (I'll probably be out shopping and miss him) :lmao:

Glad everyone made it home safe.

Bev

Hey, it was nice meeting your daughter and you. Hope you guys had a good trip after the cruise. And you guys are lucky you going on the wonder lindsay told me about that.

ANNA
Stan just loved the Mickey Ears! He made sure I brought them home so they can travel with us again. He thinks you are just too clever. Thanks!

STAN IS HOME!!!! So great to have him resting at home.

Darlene

Does anyone mind sending me the file for the mickey ears for the stateroom doors. I saw them on Terrys pictures and I would love to make a set for our cruise next week. My kids would get the biggest kick out of that

my email is winnyis@aol.com

Thanks in advance.

I'm finally getting out of the stone age and learning how to post pictures.

It was my wish that Andy from Australia would switch from the Wonder to the Magic and the DCL gods granted my wish.

DisneyCruise-2006Andy.jpg

I miss hearing his voice everyday and the "ciao for now". I have a picture of him from July 2003 when he was the "Bingo king". I'll post that as soon as I get it uploaded.

Just got a confirmation back from DCL Inventory Control on my "amended" cat 1 request. They said it was no problem to change the date from 07/01/2008 to 08/16 or 08/23, 2007.

Since the original request was made on 07/13/2005 that makes 37 months in advance which should put me towards the top of the list for a cat 1 in '08. :cool1:

Being able to come up with the cash is a whole 'nother issue :rotfl2:

Its cheaper to sail in mid August versus early July. That should help....a bit.

We used to sail the first week of July until we learned it was cheaper to sail in August.

And yes, one time we did get affected by a hurricane even sailing the first week of July. It didn't change the itinerary but our second day at sea was impacted.
