Thats lucky you have a BH, I suggest getting up and logg onto DCL website by 7.45am, then go to my cruise and keep hitting refresh, make sure your computer clears its 'history' everytime you look for a new page, you can do that under internet options.

Then as soon as its available you can go for it, on my computer it was 7.59am today.

All the best,

Hi all!

Guess what - I fell asleep, too last night! My daughter had an all-day dance competition and we didn't get home until 11:30pm. My thought was to get her makeup off / hair clean and just stay on the net until 2:00 am. Didn't happen. I sat down in front of the TV instead and just drifted off. Oh well.

Linda and Doreen - my DH and DS were cub scout camping this weekend as well! They just got home and both took showers and are now taking a nap.

Here's what we wound up with -

CC - 2 day float rentals and stingray's on CC2 at 11:00 am

Cozumel - Fury Catamaran. If Chankanaab is open, we will change this and take a taxi there to spend the day. It's really beautiful. If they are open, we hope to do the dolphin swim there as well. I'm going to book this on my own, since the prices are better than DCL and you get more time with the dolphins. I hear on Cruise Critic that taxi fare isn't that expensive, either. However, I am really hesitant in booking the dolphins now since Chankanaab isn't currently open and neither is the Dolphin Discovery. What do you think?

Palo Dinner on Thursday at 7:30. I was only able to reserve for two, but we have a friend coming with us who isn't a CC member (he has his own cabin). There were no tables for 3-4 available at all when I logged on. What do you all think are the chances that I will be able to add him to our reservation when we board? Can he book a 3-4 person table being the only one occupying his cabin?

We were shut out of Brunch and Tea. Going to try for brunch when we board.

Lastly - Welcome new cruisers!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :sunny: :sunny: :cheer2:

Thanks Andrew for the advice! :teeth: Going into Tools/internet options now... have that set up in work but not at home!

Hi All,
I had decided not to stay up or wake up at 3:00 last night as I only needed ressies for Palo and figured that shouln't be a problem. Well I happen to wake up a few minutes before 3 am and decided to go ahead and log on and do it. Thank goodness I did, by the time I was done there was only Tea left!! I actually needed brunch for 5 and was going to do 4 on my ressie and 1 on my Moms but it was gone by the time I switched to her reservation. Hopefully I can add one more on board.
I really feel bad for people who do not know about this site, I am sure they would never dream they had to book the second it was available. ANyway I am happy I happened to wake up (though I am sure my subconcious was freaking out about it and made sure I GOT UP). I'm glad to hear most of you got what you wanted, and hopefully you were able to catch a nap today.

Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Just got finished with another full weekend of school!

Just wanted to say...

Doreen: So sorry about Marty's Mom. Sending you my best!

Terry & Jeff: So glad you guys didn't cancel....sounds like it was close for both of you! The thought even crossed our minds at one point. I was starting to lose my excitement over the looooong winter months but I am getting so excited!

I got on before I left for school this morning & booked the Chaccohoben Mayan Ruins tour & registered the kids into the lab. That's it! We are not booking Palo because I hate to give up any of my regular dinners. We did Palo on our last cruise & although it was wonderful, I was physically ill because I over-indulged on waaaaay to much yummy food! I am concerned about the damage at Chakannab so I think we are just going to stick near the port in Cozumel & maybe do the mini-golf. I like the idea of that home-made Sangria & the owner sounds so nice!

Glad to hear everyone pretty much got what they wanted!

Take Care!
Diane

Hi everyone:

Well I just printed out the resume' that DH and I put together for me. My interview appointment at the temp agency is 10am tomorrow. Send me all the good wishes that you can, and all pep talks are appreciated! :teeth: I hope it goes well tomorrow, and that they have jobs they can place me in. :surfweb:

I've received several emails with info to be added to the Itinerary Page. If I don't get to it tonight, I'll probably have time to do it tomorrow after the interview. :)

I am interested in the AM tour have you all established a private tour or are you joining the regular morning scheduled tours that leave from their location in Majahual, village at 08:30AM (or one hour after the ship docks) on Tuesday, August 22nd. ?

TINA, that really put a smile on MARTYS face.. and boy did he need that today... I tried so hard to make his day a bit brighter in spite of having to say good bye to his mom.. WHAT A DAY!!!!....
I still get to give him some birthday spankings..;lol :goodvibes

TERRY.. if I can send you all the wishes in the world they would come to you my dear friend.. :wizard: Here's to your job interview and many money returns,,lol :drinking1

DIZZYWORLD.. we have the same parasailing time.. SUNDAY at 1130... me and DD and DS. 17 and 13.. Now i am a big woman,, and they got me up last time .. and they even dipped me.. Of course my sister and DH laughed hysterically when i came back SOAKED!!!. We can do this together..!!! Its such a great feeling

DIANE... thanks for the well wishes for my husband.. its been an awful ordeal... long story...

CARON... glad you were able to wake up in time for the big internet RUSH....

LINDA my son was up at a CAMPOREE I think.. Maybe in CONSTANIA area.. does that sound right?? there were maybe 20 or so troops and weblos too!
Where ever it was the RANGER closed the place early due to rain.. How old are your boys?

DOREEN

Doreen.........thanks for the encouraging words for parasailing. I showed my DD - 11, who will be flying with me, the video. She is so excited. I've hot air ballooned twice, once over the MK. I just want to do something small to remember my birthday this year.

Bridgemanva..........we are joining a tour with David and Ivan. I have no idea how many people they take at a time? We are doing the one without lunch. I know my DD would hate the food (she hates most foods), and we figured we didn't want her insulting another country. I know there is another family of 4 also going. I hope this answers your question.

Terry... good luck with the job. You can do it!! I hope it is everything you want it to be. I'm glad you are still going with us. I am looking forward to meeting you.

Is anyone linking dinner reservations for the early seating?

Good Luck tomorrow Terry! I know you'll do great. I know how you feel because I just returned to work last year after a long absence but I know you'll do just fine, you have a wonderful way and that will show through. My fingers are crossed!

Doreen - How is poor Marty? I hope he could enjoy his day a little. Send him big birthday wishes from me and tell me he's got six months on me (turn 46 in Nov) but that he's 3 months younger than my DH John (turned 46 in Feb)!

Good night everyone. Staying up so late last night (for nothing LOL) has kicked my butt and I have to go to bed!

Talk to you soon
Mary Rose

How does that work? We will have a table of 9 - me, DH, DSs 13, 9 & 9, DMom and DDad, and DFriend and her DS 11. We'd be happy to link (does that mean sit near each other, have same rotation?)! :sunny:

Hi everyone,

Been lurking here since we were able to book this cruise back in '04 when the reservations opened. This is DCL cruise #5 for us. Its me, DH, DS(11) and DD(10). We've got late dining seating.

For Costa Maya, we're going to try the beach at Majahual. Anyone else thinking about doing that?

We booked the Jungle Beach Break, but that is at Uvero beach. Are you going it on your own to Majahual? I didn't see any excursion to that location. I know it is a short ride to Majahual so I have thought about it, but not sure if there is enough to do there.

We would go on our own to Majahual. We just want to hang out and relax. We're doing a 3 reef snorkeling excursion at Cozumel and the kids want to bike ride on the first day at Castaway so we need a day to just hit the beach in Costa Maya and take it easy.

It seems the beaches in Costa May all have plusses and minuses. I can't wait for the double dip cruises before us to post their thoughts on what they did in Costa Maya.

Hi there Sea and Ski!!!

I too am looking to do a local beach day on our own at Costa Maya. We had a great beach day in St. Martin last year on our own, and thanks to all the great info on the DIS, we were well prepared!

I am trying to find out what they may have at the beach in C.M. - water tramps? jet skis? how much should things cost, etc.

Getting closer! :Pinkbounc

Hey Pooh Jen...how're things shakin' :hippie: ????
When we made our unexpected stop at CM last December....several people did - on there own - stuff which sounded like fun...definitely do NOT wait inside the 'compound/dock complex' for a taxi - head outside and grab your own.
The beaches were wonderful there.....I am planning the same thing for November and maybe a 1/2 day ruin trip in Cozumel - as long as I can snorkel, I am happy!

Hey Pat!!! :wave2: You stalkin' me??!!! I've already got Linda aka "Threadkiller" killing my threads on the main board! ;) :goodvibes

All y'all November double dippers should just join us in August for a test cruise! :boat: :sail: (now, "y'all" I picked up just fine; it's taken me years to learn to say "all y'all"! ;) ) :yay:

We were on the November 19, 2005 Thanksgiving Day which visited Costa Maya. Unfortunately Wilma had stopped by 4 weeks prior to our cruise so although we booked the JBB we cancelled because of the condition of the beaches. We walked around the pier and shopping area, but did not do an excursion.
