Thanks Andrew for the advice! :teeth: Going into Tools/internet options now... have that set up in work but not at home!

Moira.

It worked for me this time and when I booked 2007's Med cruise, SOME PC's store your old pages and do not look for new ones, you have to ask it to do that, then you have the up to date page at 8.00am, not the history

I got my package today.. and it came from....HAHAHA,, like I would tell you...

well I can tell you I got.... a back pack cooler, a water jug, underwater camera, storeage bags, a pair of goggles,a bottle of hand sanitizer and sun tan lotion oh and a tinker bell coin bag.. WHAOO.. I am all set for the BEACH

MARY ROSE.. thank you for thinking of MARTY... I am trying to keep him busy.. We decided to make a memorial for his mom in our back yard with one of those gazing balls and a bench. When the weather gets warmer we will plant something in her memory as well. Today is just a tiring day... MARY ROSE.. it sounds like the catamaran in COZUMAL in going to be a real party.... is there room for a back back on the boat??? of course after we snorkel.....

DID ANY ONE ELSE GET A PACKAGE TODAY?????

Doreen

Our package arrived today!! :woohoo:  :yay: :sunny: :cool1:

It was so much fun to open it and find so many things inside, each item was very thoughtful, as the package even contained sugar-free candy for diabetic DH, and RockNRollerCoaster drum and drum sticks! This person really knows our family :teeth: :3dglasses It also contained all kinds of very useful items for a cruise; lint roller, hand sanitizer gel, sunburn gel, sunscreen, lip balms, bottles of spring water, flavor packets, Shout stain wipes, Chlorox stain pen, a beautiful box of seashell-shaped chocolates, a low-carb chocolate bar, Disney shaped cookies, I know I am forgetting several things, because it's all spread out all over the kitchen table!! :teeth: I'll add in the rest of the items when I go upstairs and remember what else was in the box!!! :smooth:

Thank you so much to the family that sent me this package, it was so fun to open it, and thank you for the note you tucked into the box!! :teeth:

EDITED TO ADD:

How could I forget the beautiful photo album with the sparkly embroidered palm tree on the cover!!! :sunny: Also, there were nightlights, which will be great especially for the boys' inside cabin, a package of Post-It notes, Oreo cookies and cream snack packs, and a sheet full of Mickey Mouse stickers!!! ::MickeyMo

Once again, thank you so much to our family! :grouphug:

Great packages Doreen & Terry !
All the packages are out so it shouldn't be long now before we can reveal who we all had. :teeth:

Terry: Hope your interview wen't well. Did you see all the PD flying through the air? :wizard:

Doreen: I know it's been cold but did you see the warm weather I have coming your way for this weekend? :sunny: I am skipping spring and going for summer. :rotfl2:

For those of you who signed up for the group brunch............

I have noticed that alot of you have made your own brunch reservations, I was wondering if that's because you don't think the group thing won't come through or what? :confused3 Is everyone still planning on the group brunch that signed up for it? Thanks, Tina

Hi Everyone :wave2: Guess what I got in the mail today? :teeth: Yes I received my cruise exchange package and what a surprise! :yay:

I received the following from ******:

Disney Magic picture frame, disney keychain, Mickey and Minnie scotch tape, Mickey Mouse scissors, Daisy Duck Pez dispenser, dream glow bracelet, parrot necklace for Pirate's Night pirate: !! Captain Mickey picture magnet(Mickey Mouse is my favorite disney character) (just ask Doreen about my Mickey Mouse bedroom when I was living in back home and yes I was an (adult),Castaway Cay Mickey door magnet. I love these. I am in awe of the embroidered towel :cheer2: :cheer2: , sharpie, banaids, chapstick, moist wipes. Hi Tina! :teeth: :sunny:

Yep, I am still on for the brunch on the Thursday, perhaps people were afraid that the group thing wouldn't work out? Looking forward to meeting the people on that! :thumbsup2

Shirley, I don't know anything about linking reservations... Since there are only three of us and we have changed to the early I was just going to play it by ear! But would be delighted to be linked to anyone here! We're very easygoing!

Thanks Andrew, I've cleared out my cache, all temporary files gone (though in the process I logged myself out of this, amazon.co.uk and tripadviser.com, not very clever!) so I'm ready for the 5th June! (a little early I know but as we say here, a good start is half the battle!). :rotfl2:

Have written a fax to Shirley so I will send over the next day or two to organise little surprises for DH and DD on arrival. And it's our 8th wedding anniversary on the day we are in Costa Maya doing the Jungle Beach Break so it'll be really nice to be somewhere different!

Am seriously thinking about the parasailing. I am so terrified of heights you wouldn't believe and a bit of a screamer when scared (I don't really paint a good picture of myself!) but I read a great book years ago "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway" so it's definitely on the "Maybe" list!

:welcome: Ski-and-sea.. it's getting real when new people are joining in all the time (Newbie myself)!

Andy (aka the V man!) Your blog was brilliant. Favourite was the Castaway Cay photo.. hope you're still linking in here too! And you have recovered from all of your illnesses!

Must stop now... hope I didn't bore anyone!

M. :tilt: :shamrock:

Edited yet again due to spelling errors!

The interview this morning went fairly well. I had been worried about being given a typing test, not because I'm not an excellent typist, but because I tend to get nervous under pressure. LOL Anyway, I didn't have to worry about that, and in the end, I wish I HAD been given a typing test, because they gave me an Excel test and a Word test, and apparently I don't know as much about Excel as I thought I did. :lmao: I did well on the Word test though :teacher:

Anyway, all I do now is wait to see if/when they call me for work. The contact person at the agency said that I should call her in 2 weeks, if I don't hear from her before then. The reason she said 2 weeks is because I told her that my schedule isn't very open for the next 2 weeks (appts this week, Craig's graduation next week), but after that, she felt she could easily place me within a company. I told her that I could work full time, but only for periods of 2 weeks or less. I may call her back and tell her that I'd be willing to work full time for up to a month straight. She also knows I'm willing to take shorter term work, as well, a day or two here and there. So... only time will tell now. She gave me a starter packet with time sheets and other info, so... now all I do is wait... :hourglass Thanks for the good wishes from those sent them :goodvibes

Tina: I didn't make any other brunch reservations, and from what I told from the Group Specialist, it's basically a done deal, except that she can not confirm it in her computer until the month before. We WILL be at the brunch on Monday, as planned. :teeth:

To those who did make other plans in addition to what you've signed up for in the private dining room: Please let me know if you plan on canceling your spot with us, because there is a "waiting list" of sorts, of other DISers who'd like the chance to dine with us :) I'm hoping that our meals will go off as planned, though! :sunny:

We are still planning to do the Thursday group brunch. Once that is confirmed, I will cancel my other reservation.

Tina and Terry,

Yup, we are looking forward to the DIS brunch! :goodvibes As posted earlier, I booked my own brunch not knowing whether our group ressie was a done deal! :thumbsup2

TERRY, I am still up for the group PALO brunch and DINNER.... No way will we pass that up..

I am so glad you had a great interview.. KAREN and TERRY had some great packages too!!

ROBIN MARIE... are you the only one still waiting for a package??

DOREEN

Dizzyworld and Walsh Clan - We also have early dinner. There's five of us. If you would like to link together, let me know. We are a fun bunch!

PoohJen and Sea and Ski - We're looking at going into Majahual (sp?) in Costa Maya. I read on Cruise Critic that the transportation options are a taxi or to rent a golf cart. I don't know which we will do yet. I'm not sure if they have jet skis, trampoline, etc. But I think that this will just be a sit around kind of day for us. If you want to go together, we can arrange to go together or just meet somewhere in town.

Buddy Bear - How is the port area in Costa Maya? Is there really all that much to do if you stay within the walls? Can you spend the day there or will it get boring?

Terry - congrats on the interview. I know it can be a little daunting returning to work after an absence. Good Job! :thumbsup2

All you exchangers sure received some really nice (and useful) things. I should have joined you.

Hope everyone else is doing well! :wave2:

Denise

Denise, I read that you can take a bus to the beach for $4 pp, but then that person also took a cab back for $2 pp (so, can we cut to the chase and just take a cab there for $2pp?? :confused3 pirate: I'll try to find out more!

We are also early seating (there are 9 of us at our table); I've asked my TA to put in for APL rotation. :mickeybar

No, not really. You could easily kill a couple of hours, but not the whole day. There are many shops, a couple of outdoor restaurants, and a pool to swim in, but I would look at it as a place you could spend an hour or two before or after an excursion.

Welcome Leslie! party: :welcome: We are staying at the Polynesian too so if we don't see you beforehand I'm sure we'll see you on the bus transfer!

:flower2:

Thanks for the welcome!

Moira, we added the days at the Polynesian just a few weeks ago. I'd been planning a WDW vacation (in my mind only) for the summer my son turned 3, but once my husband saw those Mediterranean trips in 2007 there was little hope of us going to Orlando! :confused3 Hopefully we'll be able to cruise near(er?) your turf next year. I hope we do see you at the resort, as we won't be on the bus. Like PoohJen's family we'll be driving from Virginia so we'll have a car. Certainly we'll meet on the boat if not earlier. I'm so glad that this group is having so many meets. I'm on my own with my toddler a bit when we are on vacation so my husband and daughter can satisfy their adventurer's spirits. I'm looking forward to adult conversation!

PoohJen, I loved to see you use the hallowed "ya'll" in a previous post :rotfl: . We lived in Vermont for six years and knew it was time to head back south when we found ourselves coaching our daughter to say "ya'll" instead of "you guys" and explaining that her great grandma wanted a kiss when she asked for sugar, or "ssshuga" actually.

Terry,
We are still up for the Group Bunch,

I will be trying to make one for a dinner, hopefully at 75 day mark something will be left for us first timers.

Well at least I have a few more days to decide on any other items to do

Denise, would be delighted! Thanks so much for the offer!! What do I need to do from this end? I am a real novice!

Moira.

PS Terry, thrilled to hear that the interview went well..... had no doubt! :thumbsup2
