Cadillac Escalade- help please!

Unless the Escalade is the extended length one, you will not have enough room for the luggage and stroller. The third seat practically hits the back window. You can fit a couple of large suitcases back there, but not much more.

We usually travel with a party of 8 - 3 adults and 5 kids (17, 16, 12, 10 and 10). We always rent the Yukon XL from Hertz. It is the extended length, so has plenty of room for all our luggage in back.

I didn't know that. I wonder if the rental car places have turtle shells that you can rent also. That might help.

Renting a turtle shell would cost more than buying the soft luggage rack. It was the best investment and folded up to about 9 inches square and about 4 inches thick.

Hertz has an offer on all their Prestige vehicles (not from NYC though) and the offer is a lot lower than what I was quoted and has some nice perks. I wanted to call them but it seems I´m not able to call the toll-free number from Iceland. I´m going to bed now, since it´s 12:15 in the morning and the kids get up early
