We are planning a day trip over to see WWOHP and I am researching the quickest/cheapest way to get there. From what I have been able to figure out is a cab will run about 60-70 round trip from POR and the mears shuttle will be about 70. There are 4 of us, 2 adults, 2 kids 7 and 10. It seems like a cab would be better.....am I missing something?:confused3

Nope, the cab will be better

It all depends on how many are in your group. For your group of four, a cab or car service is going to make the most sense.
My dd and I are using the Mears shuttle over to US/IoA in August, but will take a cab back to our resort. I just don't want to be on the bus for a hugely long time while it makes multiple stops.

Then what is the benefit to the shuttle? Seems like it could take longer??

The shuttle is really good for 1 or 2 people, the expense is less than a taxi. You would stop at other hotels beside Disney. We liked the come and go when we please aspect so we took a taxi.

It does...especially at night.
I am riding the Mears shuttle to US/IoA simply because I booked my transportation and park passes through Dreams Unlimited. That 'special' gave me free transport, pretty much anyway. The ride to US is much quicker in the morning from what I understand. But, at night, the bus is going to stop at a lot of non-WDW resorts along the way, before getting to WDW resorts.
So, I'll just take a cab back that night.
