We just booked BWV for a week in October. We are psyched to have an Epcot resort for the Food & Wine Fest, and to be able to walk to the fireworks.

But, our daughter Cammy will be two, and one thing that seems common in the threads is that BWV tends to be noisy.

Member Services booked us in a preferred room garden view (maybe I heard them wrong). Should I be asking for a different area?? I am not really concerned with views from our room, as we will be out most of the time, and during her naps - I will probably take one too :)

Any suggestions???

Thanks
Eric

My kids and I just stayed at BWV. It was a 1 bedroom, room #1083. The patio faced the oval where you park to check in. It was very quiet. We were also very close to the Luna pool.

I've read some people complaining about the Boardwalk views being noisy. We just came back from a preferred garden view and never heard a peep. Actually the only thing we heard was a 2 years next to us that didn't want to go to bed. Our kids slept right through it. I'm sure the noise level...if any will be just fine.

We've stayed on the BoardWalk itself, twice, and never had a problem with noise, with the balcony door closed.

You'll be fine! Ask for top floor, quiet pool area and have a great time :goodvibes

My wife and I just got back on April 8th. We were in a 4th floor Studio that faced the Boardwalk courtyard where they keep the Bike rentals about 4 room from the boardwalk. Beautiful view. We could see the fireworks from Epcot and MK. At least the tips of them.....

The first night there was a bit noisy. There were a few loud people on the boardwalk at around 2 pm. My wife is a light sleeper and wanted to change rooms. I loved the view. We flipped a coin and I won.

After the first night she was not bother again by the noise. So overall one night out of 7 was noisy. Not too bad. But if we had our little one with us, we most likely would have asked for a room change because he wakes up for a pin drop.....

In all my stays at BW I've only had noise problems once and I was right on the Boardwalk above the Wyland galleries. Other then that no problems at all.

We've had a standard view and a quiet pool view villa on two separate occasions and have never had an issue with noise.

On our most recent visit, we had a first floor room with a view of the main pool. Noise was never an issue, in fact, it was the best room we've ever had.

The complaints tend to come from one of two areas:

The Boardwalk itself (with a preferred Garden view you could end up overlooking the Village Green - the area "nearly on" the Boardwalk but facing the Inn - but that area is coveted, I'm sure you could give it up for the asking)

The area overlooking Luna Park - particularly in the afternoons when the pool can get loud. These are preferred view rooms and you'd chance it being noisier.

I'd ask for something overlooking the quiet pool.

All rooms at the BW are noisy during Illuminations, the BW area is just too close to the fireworks. Also, its what you are used to and how well you all sleep. I think the BW is noticably noisy, but not disturbingly noisy, even with the door closed. But had I stayed there when I lived in my city home rather than my current suburban one, it would have seemed tranquil. And if my parents were to stay there from their rural home, it would probably seem noisy.

We've had several BWV stays, all with little ones taking naps and have never had problems sleeping. We have stayed in the Luna Park pool area and yes with the balcony door open lots of noise coming in, however with the door shut it is very quiet and easy for little ones to nap.

Enjoy! We love the BWV!

Yup, that's how I got my room on the green. I was told that the people were switching rooms after one night because it was "too busy" for them. One person's bad room, is another's treasure! Don't worry, the BW is a fantastic place to bring your dd :goodvibes

Some standard view rooms will suffer from noise from the front entry, but it's never a significant problem.

I would say two year olds are way too noisy for the BW. ;)

Seriously - the only noise problem we have ever had with a room was when we were on the main pool. It was noisy into the night.

The BW view was fine - particularly with the door closed. And if you turn on the fan, the white noise blocks out anything else. The standard views have been fine also.

Keep in mind the fireworks are very loud, especially in the SV and BW view rooms.

But then again, look what most 2 year olds can sleep through while in a stroller or in a car.

It also probably depends on what kind of sleeper your child is.

I would imagine a BW view could be noisy. We have stayed there in a standard view and also in a preferred view overlooking the canal, and both rooms were fine, no noticeable noise. but, we are also heavy sleepers.

I don't think you'll have any problems. We had a Luna pool view with our 6 & 1 yo DSs and everyone napped just fine. Sometimes in the kitchen or entry way we could hear people who were loud in the halls but not in the bedrooms at all. No pool noise unless on the balcony. Don't worry!
