We have a 1 BR Boardwalk View at BWV in 10 days! MIL has decided she may stay with us a for a day or so. I already told her that she will have to sleep with my 2 DS's on the sleeper sofa; DH and I have the real bed! However, I thought I read somewhere that some of the 1BR's also have a day bed? Anyone know how many of the units do? And, what are my chances of getting one that is also a Boardwalk View?

There are no daybeds in the 1-bedrooms. Some of the studios have what they call the "daybed" but it is more like a bench for the suitcases -- only a small child would fit on it.

I'm not sure how comfortable three in the sleeper sofa is going to be. Maybe one of the boys can join you in the bed?

No, none of the 1 bedroom units have a day bed. There is a king in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.

There is a daybed in the dedicated studio rooms - sometimes these rooms are referred to as "studio plus" units. That daybed is quite narrow and only about 4 feet long. IMHO, it works a s a bed only for a small child.

Perhaps you or you MIL can bring an air mattress for one or both of the boys.

If you really don't want her to join you, you can truthfully tell her that the maximum occupancy of a one bedroom is 4 people plus a child under 3. There is a Pac 'n Play portable crib provided for the child/infant.

Hmmmmmm...........3 in a sleeper sofa. I don't know about that. I guess if the kids are tiny, and no one moves throughout the night. Hope the kid in the middle is potty trained ;)

I am quite interested in one of these studio plus rooms but I am worried that my son will not fit if it is 4ft. One Deb Wills site it is described as a 'daybed' My son is almost 5ft tall would he fit ? he slept on the trundle bed at POR comfortably.

Not too long ago someone posted great pictures of studio that included shots of the "daybed". The person didn't even realize that's what it was because it is really that small. Honestly, it's more like a luggage rack than a daybed. Hopefully, she's reading and can direct us to her pictures. (I should have bookmarked them!)

The other problem is that this type of room is no longer guaranteed. It's just luck of the draw. In any case, I don't think someone 5 feet tall would be comfortable. I'm not exactly sure who would be comfortable to tell you the truth.

I'd have to agree with the others on this one. We stayed at BWV for the first time this past December, and we used the daybed/bench for clothes and diaper storage.

To give you an example of how deep the daybed was, our package of Pampers fit on it almost exactly(thats the jumbo size pkg-about 46 diapers), it is rather narrow. My daughter who will be 5 in May, is 43" tall and I really don't think she would've been comfortable if she had to sleep on it.

I didn't even realize that we were in the studio plus either until we got home from our trip and read it on the boards.

Thanks so much, you guys, for such a quick response! I honestly had no idea that it was a capacity of 4! I guess I just have to give her the nitty gritty and let her make her own decision or pay $325 for a connecting studio room.
Thanks again!

We had a studio w/daybed last month and my son (10) slept in it just fine. My 5 year old slept in it once and was fine with it. No real complaints, but I can't see anyone larger sleeping in it.
