Buying extra points question

We need an additional 31 points to complete an upcoming reservation (less than 7 months out).

The 24 points you can buy per year--is that per membership or per contract? We have 3 separate contracts, so would we be able to buy the 31 extra points, or only 24?

24 points is per use year. If all three of your contracts have the same use year, you can only buy 24 points once.

On that same thought... I have two contracts at VWL with two different UY April/Oct. So if I make a reservation using both contracts I can buy up to 48 points to complete the transaction? My current reservation is broken up in to two because of the different UY. I would like to upgrade to a 1br but will not have enough points left on either contract.

You would have to have two separate reservations, one for each set of points. You might be able to link them, but they would still be separate.

You could just transfer points from one to the other to get as many points as you need.

They don't transfer the points. They just make it two separate reservations. They are linked but I have two res numbers. So I guess I can buy points on both reservations to get enough for a 1 bdrm. I may have to do that and surprise my husband. Note to anyone buying points in two different UY's... just don't do it. What a pain in the fanny.

I meant transfer your own points between contracts, not the one time use points.
