I also just bought in on Saturday. Actually, I am still waiting for the papers to come in the mail for me to officially sign up. I am really excited because I think we will be going back at the end of August. The only thing that worries me is the additional costs for airfare and park tickets....and food. I did the Disney Dining Plan this last time and we ate like kings. I doubt I will be able to afford that every trip. Does anyone know of good and cheap places to eat for DVC members?

hi there, I also just bought into SSR DVC and I have NO regrets...just looking forward to my first trip "home" in May. as far as the eating, besides breakfast in your villa ( which will save a huge amount), I have been looking into purchasing an AP and the DDE card. The DDE card will give you 20% off at many of the fine eateries you enjoyed on your last visit.. my BF and I just used the Dining Plan and ate at Wolfgang's, Le Cellier, Coral Reef and more - so I understand your concerns! with the DDE ( Disney Dining Experience) I feel we can still enjoy a couple of meals out on each trip and benefit from a nice savings....check it out, might be an option for you

you must purchase an AP to purchase the DDE but depending on your travel plans for the next year, it could very well pay...as a DVC owner, you are entitled to a $100 discount on the normal AP card....

I think the majority of buyers get at least a moment of buyer's remorse. Then you go to WDW and any bad feelings you have disappear.

Pretty soon you will be on the boards asking how do we handle the feelings of addonitis.

What a strange coincidence I just did this last night and as you will see had trouble go over to the DVC Planning board and look for a tread on that topic add picture to Signature...I just left my post there earlier today after I finally go it done so look for that. on the first pages you will see a link to the pictures and scroll down and some one will give you directions....Carol Good luck

I just joined yesterday and have NO remorse what so ever. I got this years points PLUS as an incentive I got last years points AND as an AP got 15% off the price... PLUS, with my points, I was able to book my 11 day Disney Cruise on the Wonder all in the same day! Talk about Win-Win! My husband was happy about the whole thing after I explained it to him. He is especially thrilled with the dea of our accomadations already being paid for each year. This is the best thing EVER.

We bought in 1992 when "timeshare" was a dirty word. But we've never had one minute of regret. All our family and friends compliment us on making such a great investment in our family's future happiness. PS, we didn't have kids at the time, but we knew we would some day. And our family and friends have been so complimentary because they have stayed on our points.
