Buses - Parks to PBH

Just wanted to let you know that they must have changed the bus route for leaving the parks to PBH. It now takes about 30 - 45 minutes to get to PBH from the parks. We rode the bus the past 2 days with the same results.

First of all - sign at Universal says they only run every 30 minutes. Every 20 minutes would be closer to the truth. Then you go to Royal Pacific, then Hard Rock and finally Portofino.

Yesterday, half our party decided to walk and see who would make it back first. The walkers beat us by a good 20 minutes. They had arrived and showered by the time we got there.

So, I know it has been posted many times here that the bus service to Portofino is quick and easy, but they must have changed things up with the summer crowds, so if the boats are not running, definitely walk!

As you exit Universal, take an immediate left as if you were going to walk to Hard Rock or Portofino. There are two paths - the one on the left is marked for the Bus Pick up area.

The good thing about the bus service is that it is a great way to get between resorts. You don't have to take the boat to City Walk and then switch to the other resort boat. Just stay on the bus and you will get to the resort you want to go to.

The bus drivers have always been more than accomodating with us. If no one is on the bus they have taken us directly where we asked to go. The boat can't do that (i.e. you can't take the boat from PBH to HRH). The buses are on a schedule but have time built in to allow the detour.
