bus crash at Disney?

OK, Epcot Center Drive, two buses collided.

Just looked it up online, Florida News 13, Disney Bus rear ended a Charter bus, I think 8 injured but not serious (thank goodness).

GaPaige, just read the website you listed, not good, one person air lifted! CFNews13 hadn't mentioned this.

they are reporting that the critically injured person is the driver of the Disney bus. Not good. Prayers going up for he/she and their family....

I am here now, but attending a conference during the day. From what others at my resort (CSR) have reported, they say that bus service was completey shut down yesterday afternoon for a period of time.

The local news this morning is still reporting that the Disney bus driver is still still in serious condition after being air-lifted to a local hospital. Very sad. Prayers........

Have any of the reports mentioned why the charter bus was stopped in a driving lane without any flares or anything to indicate it was stopped? I know it mentioned the hazard lights flashing, but I've seen a lot of buses that do that when they are slowing down, so that might not have been a clear indicator to the Disney driver that the bus was completely stopped until it was too late.

Because first poster only half-heard a 10-second sound bite before anything was a fact, as first poster posted this 4 days ago while on the disboards and the news was on in the background.

I left Ak early to meet up with my brother at epcot. About an hour later, I started getting all sorts of texts and phone calls from my parents and my friends. They had heard about the bus crash. Luckily I was in the park and not on the bus. If I had stayed any later, who knows. My parents said they had to take a bus to TTC and then take the monorail to Epcot. So, everyone in my family was ok, thank goodness!
