I ordered the PhotoPass CD a few days ago… had to get that done before the price increase, whew! And even better, my BFF is going to WDW with her family the week before Shane and I go, so we're splitting the cost of the CD :thumbsup2

For past trips, I've just jotted things down in a notebook… but for this trip, I'm going all out and making a trip binder!

I just showed DH this and said "You know I'm going to have to make one of these, right?" :lmao: Thanks for the idea! :thumbsup2

Love the trip binder; I've always had a clip board, but a binder would be so much better and more organized!

Hi there...I found you on Heather's PTR so I am here following as well! I just wanted to let you know that last Oct DH and I did a similar thing. We took an adult only vacation to WDW and on DCL. It was our 14th anniversary, but mostly we were celebrating surviving a very difficult year of marriage...we fought our way through and came out the other side stronger. What better way to celebrate?
We did one day at Epcot, three nights on the Dream and one night at MNSSHP. We ate around the WS during F&W and then had a late dinner at O'hana and watched Wishes from the beach at The Poly. That's one of the nicest memories I have from that week. Snuggling together on a lounger on the beach and watching Wishes!:lovestruc
We are going to be celebrating our 15th this year at WDW again..can't wait!! This time we are allowing the kids to come with us.:snooty:;)

Gonna be reading along while you plan...good for you with the weight loss, you guys look great!:cheer2:

I've seen some pretty in-depth ones here on the boards before... but I have no idea what other info I should put in mine!

:welcome: Thanks for joining!

We're thinking of doing the luau show (Shane would rather go to the early seating, I think it's at 5:15 or 5:30)... and then I'd like to explore the Poly a bit since I'd like to maybe stay there on our next family trip! I'll have to see what time the fireworks are that night, maybe we can hang around the Poly until then and watch from the beach!

We haven't decided yet what time we'll leave Sunday morning… but I'm hoping it's early. As in, before dawn! It takes at least 10 -12 hours to drive to WDW from our house (:faint:)… longer, depending on how many stops we make (but since we won't have the kids on this trip, maybe the pit stops will be kept to a minimum!) I'd like to arrive at POR as early as we can… this way, we'll have time to do something Sunday evening. Shane, on the other hand, isn't too keen on leaving at the crack o' dawn. His reasoning is, since we've added an extra day/night then we shouldn't have to get there quite so early on Sunday.

If I have my way and we do leave at a time when all the sane people are still asleep in their beds, I'm hoping we can make it to POR by 3 p.m. After checking in, we'll head over to DTD for the afternoon/evening and probably grab dinner at Earl of Sandwich. I don't think we'll stay at DTD too late, since we plan on getting up early the next morning. Maybe we can even head back to POR and lounge by the pool for awhile, if we finish at DTD earlier than expected.

But, more likely… Shane will have his way and we won't leave our house at o'dark-thirty. It will probably be more like 8 a.m. before we leave... which means it will be after dinner before we make it to POR. Once we've checked in, we'll probably just walk around and explore the resort… maybe take one of the carriage rides. We might even take a quick dip in one of the pools before heading to bed.

Up next: tentative plans for our first Park Day!

Your trip binder is so cute! I love making trip binders, I didn't do one for December and it just seemed weird, so I'm guessing I have to do one for May! :rolleyes1

I hope you get to leave early on your Arrival Day! I wish we lived close enough to drive, it would save so much money with plane tickets and car rentals and everything!

Hope you don't mind if I join in for the next 6ish months of planning!

I love PO- both of 'em!
You should try to check out Yee-Haw Bob's show at the River Roost at POR Wed-Sat nights. It's free and he is AWESOME!

Both plans for the first day sound great but I like your plans for hitting DTD the first night a little bit more. If I had the option of driving I would probably leave at some crazy hour. It is just like that old ad for Disney World "I'm Too Excited to Sleep". I also love Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Pucks Express and it would be totally worth it to wake up earlier so I could have that for dinner rather than some fast food on the road or anything I packed.

I'd want to be leaving early as well but I know hubby would not be going for it for a trip to WDW. A trip to Vegas on the other hand? He'll be all over leaving early! (we'll put that theory to the test in May!)

I hope you get to leave early! I like leaving before the sun comes up too when we're going on road trips.
Just for kicks I had to google map it, but apparently for me to drive from my place to POR it would take 1 day, 12 hours. :scared1:

Casting my vote for O'Dark Thirty!!! But I AM Irish so it might just be because of the name.:shamrock:;):lmao:

I always want the first flight out so we can spend as much time relaxing at the resort and at DTD on our first day as possible. So I get where you are going with this. We didn't get this in Jan and I missed it. Plus I felt rushed getting checked in at night. I don't know, but I am looking forward to arriving around 2 this time.

Good luck!:thumbsup2

Cute trip binder. I always use a binder like yours---the kind you can slip the cover page in/out. I just switch it up for each trip. Got one decorated right now for our May trip. Use the little tab dividers for sections on resort, dining reservations, park hours, schedules, and misc.

Here's hoping for a early departure so that you'll have some time to explore on your arrival day! :)

Woohoo on making a trip binder! :woohoo: Love the way it's coming together.

Also yay on being in your 100s on your countdown...your trip will be here before you know it!!

I wouldn't worry about the weigh in - at least you didn't gain any and it'll probably show next time. If it makes you feel better I put on 0.5lbs though did have some chocolate lol.

Well I'm going to think positive and say congratulations on not gaining weight, and best of luck with your last 9 days! I think you can do it.
Hooray for under 200!!
