Brownie pan that is ALL edges!

In my house we cut the edges off the brownies and throw them away. I didn't know people actually liked them.

I can't believe I am reading this! People actually THROW AWAY brownies!?!

Lol.

Very cool:thumbsup2 .. I love the crunchy edges, not burnt edges, but crunchy YUMMY...Though I can't justify spending almost $40 for a brownie pan:confused3

:confused3

I don't understand this at all.....the MIDDLE of the pan holds the sweetest piece! :cloud9:

Agreed. I don't think brownies should be hard and crusty.

Then again, I can't eat brownies anymore. :sad1:

What a cool find! Thanks for sharing the links everyone! :thumbsup2
Kim (who LOVES the edges lol)

I think it depends what kind of brownies you make--the cake type probably don't have good edges the way the chewy kinds do. We all fight over who gets the edges though since I make chewy brownies, so for me this pan is genius!

I don't make "cake" brownies. That's cake, not brownies. ;)

I only make chewy ones and still don't like hard, crusty brownies. :)

Hm... . . it's a mystery then. My edges don't come out hard and crusty. They come out chewier and more candy-like than the middle part.

:thumbsup2 yum.

I know the cost is ridiculous! But, you'd never have to buy another brownie pan again!:rotfl: Like I've ever bought one! Maybe that is what makes it worthwhile. I haven't used my brownie pan allotment!

My husband loves the edges for brownies and lasagna- we saw this pan first in the airplane in the onflight catalog they have on continental...

then they had it in a catalog my mother-in-law had at her home.

But I told him- although it would be great for him--- I'm a middle of the pan person when it comes to brownies- of course- I can't eat regular brownies any more so it probably doesn't matter. My kids are "we eat the entire pan of brownies" type people- so they'd be happy with whatever.

Just got back from vacation and found the pan I had ordered had arrived. I can't wait to try it. And to you people who THROW AWAY the edges, PM me and I will give you my address, just stick them in a box and send them to me. We don't want excess food filling up land fills, now do we? ;)

For those who only like edges, I will share my secret. My DH only likes the edges, and even then, really prefers the corners. He would NEVER eat the centers. So, for the last 27 years, I have made my brownies in my regular-sized muffin tin. I get 12 somewhat larger than average round brownies from a boxed brownie mix, all with edges, and no cutting required. DH loves the brownies with edges all around. Just watch them the first time or two you are baking them as they may cook just a bit quicker than usual.

Great idea. All those edges and above average sized brownies that cook fast.
Sounds like a win win brownie situation.

You are a genius. I am going to go try this right now. Where should I send the $40 idea fee?
