Hello, everyone. Question.... is the Hollywood Brown Derby not that good? The only selections that have been available for HS is Mama Melrose and Hollywood Brown Derby. We had Mama Melrose last trip and was not a fan. Kind of alarmed that Hollywood Brown Derby have been available every day when I check dining. We currently have 50s Prime Time but just curious. Is it that bad?

It’s our favorite eatery in HS to people watch, sit, and enjoy a cool drink with your meal. We normally sit in the lounge’s patio but the restaurant is nice as well.
Do not however go there for a holiday meal as many others have the same idea and management overbooks.

I was there in mid-September, and my adult daughter and I enjoyed our meals completely. My only small complaint was that the service was a little slow between courses and with getting the check.

Thanks, everyone. We have 50s Primetime booked but wanted Sci Fi for the kids but doesn't look like that will happen. 50s Primetime is at 7 PM and that is a little late so looking for something earlier. Brown Derby is the ONLY real choice.

We have two children plus a 1 year old toddler.

Brown Derby is very good. It's a step above the other two restaurants you mentioned.

I love the Brown Derby. Their Cobb Salad is the best, and it’s my goto every trip. Also you can get a ‘martini glass’ version of it at the patio bar. I am not a fan of the Grapefruit cake but it’s very popular. Honestly I think there are quite a few unicorn reservations now so I much prefer that some of my favorites are easy to get. I’ve never actually managed to get a Castle meal before and this trip I snagged a lunch so I’m happy.

We ate at the lounge a couple of weeks ago (no ressie required). The food was delicious, and so was the Grapefruit Cake Martini, but I was disappointed that they no longer had the lounge/appetizer portion of the Cobb Salad.

Haven't been there since it reopened. In the past, we always enjoyed eating there.
More likely it is available as its more expensive than other options at HS.
Agree on the Cobb Salad.

Adding to others Brown derby imo is best table service at hs. I believe the reason it’s bit easier to book is it’s signature restaurant so bit pricey compared to other places. That said, it’s one of the most affordable signature restaurants and the food is excellent
