Bringing home an adopted cat! UPDATE..pic pg 3 #36!!

Abby has finally come out of hiding and has now been scampering all over the house. She has been following us all over, checking everything out and is fascinated by our laptop computers. She has already gotten herself in between my face and my hands so that not paying her any attention is not an option.

We are SO in love already.

It's too late: you're doomed. Be prepared for Abby to take over your household. You will never work on the laptop or read a paper/book unmolested again...and like the rest of us cat-slaves, you'll love every moment!

When I first saw Abby, I had to do a double take. She could almost be a twin for my Miss Priss.

The only difference besides the tail is that Miss Priss has more white on her back feet.

We now have 6 cats and 5 of those have been rescues. Our latest, Simba, was orginially a foster. We have had him almost a month now and he is slowly settling in.

My DH just fell in love with him. He is a sweet boy and so far gets along with the other cats. He was outside for so long that it is taking him some time to get used to people. He lived at one of the Sonic's in town until it closed.

We love all of our cats and each one is very special to us. Have fun getting to know all about Abby.

Well,

Abby has been a member of our family for 24 hours now and is right at home. She knows when we move something, and will check out anything new that she discovers. Right now it is the cell phones attached to the chargers on the window sill.

She is a cuddler...and loves sitting with us on the couch. She is extremely affectionate and likes to be petted. If we stop she "yells" at us in a surprisingly loud tone.

She is VERY curious and social and had to come and "meet" my family when they arrived for a visit today. After she met them, she perfectly content to go back to the bedroom and hide in the box spring of our bed. ( go figure....)

She likes Ace of Cakes and NCIS and sat with us for both episodes that we watched today. She is not a big fan of Amazing Race and has decided it is more fun to play than watch.

All in all we an extremely happy family!

I'm so happy for you, and I agree they take over, our little diva rules the roost, 5lbs and she can melt my 6'4 230lbs husband in seconds with a cuddle and purr.

Interesting. The other night when you said you couldn't find her, I almost suggested looking in the box spring. It's a favorite of cats. For some reason, I guess it's like some huge, fuzzy cave they find. Once they realize they can pull off a section of the fabric, they are well camouflaged inside.
