Bridal shower

"throw her a rehearsal dinner" Oh lord....I've never ever heard of such a thing. As a PP has said - its paid for by the groom, the grooms family or even (gasp) the bride and groom, sorta as a "thank you for all your troubles and expense"

The rehearsal dinner is where the bride and groom will give their bridal party their gifts/tokens of appreciation.....I bet this heffer thinks that SHE will be getting gifts from her bridal party.

OP - you dodged a bullet with this one. Count your blessings :goodvibes

Lol I told her a while ago who was supposed to throw it but his parents didn't want to and she said she couldn't afford to so I offered. Yes she did still expect wedding gifts from all of her wedding party....got mad at me last year cause she wanted me to give her $400 as a wedding gift and I told her with all my other expenses I couldn't afford it and she wanted me to cancel my trip to Disney in order to give her that much :sad2:

I have posted the stuff I had on fb and luckily I am having some pretty good luck selling stuff I can't return or do anything with so at least I will be able to recoup some of my money :)

So I decided to tell her today that I looked into it and the bridal shower is not supposed to be in the bride's home as it is poor ettiquette and since it would be unpractical due to space limitations and extremely difficult for me to do in her home I am going to have it in my house. She responded back with a nasty email said the shower is about her and said she was ending the friendship because of the stress this argument put on her and not to contact her anymore

Close call for you! Even if you do not get any money back for anything you have already purchased yoou are ahead of the game. I say close this book....

Did you post this before? I think I remember someone whose friend did this. If so, your friend was always selfish and selfcentered. You just excused her behavior. Good luck!

Would she care that you posted a pic of her livingroom?

I agree that she does not sound like a good friend at all!

Probably no more then she would care I posted this at all. It's a picture she has online in an album that anyone can see anyway. I was just posting it for size purposes.

Her lucky future husband...:scared1:

Lol I couldn't agree more...He is actually a nice guy so I do feel bad for him with what she puts him through.

She was selfish then and time has not improved her nature. You are lucky to be out of this before she really gets wound up.

Thanks...I honestly should have stepped aside back then I just didn't want to regret it or back out of her wedding on her. At the time the wedding was supposed to be last month (she changed if 5 times). I stuck around for too much hoping she would get out of whatever this was but clearly that's not happening so now I am stepping away.
