I need some opinions about the breakfast buffet's.

Which one gets your vote as tops? why?

The only one I have been to for a comparison is 1900 Park Fare.

1900 is my favorite. I thought Cape May had very good food also (of course, all I needed was a plate full of Krispy Kremes to keep me happy.) I thought Crystal Palace was just okay, food-wise, but it is a beautiful place.

We had breakfast at Boma Monday and it was incredible! We're not really into character meals anymore though.

We really liked Crystal Palace because the characters were so accomodating. They definitely took their time at each table, patiently posed for pics and signed autographs. The food was standard breakfast fare but if you're going more for atmosphere, then it's a blast. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast at Park Fare. Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter and the gang. Fun and a really pretty restaurant. The only one we didn't really care for was Chef Mickey's. I expected it to be loud after reading the boards but it was just too much for us early in the morning. It was a cute show but the food was cold and we had a hard time getting a 2 year old to eat with all the chaos. We love character dining though, it adds to the Disney experience if you ask me. But I can understand why some families decide to opt out. The prices seem to be getting crazy. I think the buffet at Park Fare was around 15 or 16 dollars! Yikes! I don't know how large families do it. - Nancy

I would have to say Cinderellas Royal Table. I think this is the most magial breakfast, being able to eat inside the castle. Even though this is a "princess" breakfast, my boys were 9 and 12 the last time we ate there and they loved it. They are both hoping that I will get a priority seating for our December trip. The princesses, the atmosphere, and the food were all great. I am looking forward to doing this breakfast again.

In order:
Boma at the AK Lodge
Maya Grill at Coranado Springs
Yachtsman Galley at Yacht Club resort

I highly recommend Spoodles. It's not a buffet, but they have an all-you-can-eat breakfast that is served family style. The food is very good, very interesting, and the price is much better than the buffets. The also have a la carte menu selections for those who want a lighter start to their day...

Boma, Boma, Boma! IMHO breakfast everywhere else in WDW is standard breakfast fare, especially the buffets. I am traditionally not a breakfast lover, and I rarely eat a huge breakfast when at home. My family generally eats a light breakfast (give me a yogurt and a piece of fresh fruit and I am happy as a clam) when at WDW, but after our May 2003 trip, which included our first Boma breakfast experience, Boma will be a given for all subsequent trips. Why you ask? Well, for one: frunch, which is a delicious drink of tropical fruit juices. The food selections include some typical breakfast foods (eggs, bacon, pastries), but you also get some things you won't find anywhere else like mango muffins, an interesting selection of hot cereals/grains with toppings, and wonderful spicy potato wedges. I also love their breakfast pizza's. Finally, the atmosphere of Boma, and AKL in general, is unique and a wonderful experience in and of itself.

Here is another vote for Chef Mickey's. My family just loves Mickey and Minnie and it is a tradition for all of our visits.

Our favorite breakfast buffet is also our all time favorite meal in all of WDW..... Crystal Palace!!! Great food, beautiful atmosphere and the best character interaction around. We normally go at least twice during each trip!!! Chef Mickey's is a very close second.

I highly recommend Spoodles. It's not a buffet, but they have an all-you-can-eat breakfast that is served family style. The food is very good, very interesting, and the price is much better than the buffets. The also have a la carte menu selections for those who want a lighter start to their day...
Just a word of caution... I have heard that their menu has changed recently... and not for the better. Not sure if your experience was before or after the change.

If you have little or big princesses this is THE BEST!!! We just got back last week and we did the storybook breakfast along with Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace for Dinner. I have to say the Epcot storybook princess breakfast was well worth the $$$$$$. The pricnesses were very outgoing and took up a lot of time with my girls ages 4&8. The costumes they were wearing were beautiful and the setting at the norway castle restaurant just makes it fabulous. Each princess talked to each one of my girls, never seemed in a hurry, signed autographs and took pictures!!!
