Breakfast at Kona.....let's grab a table!!

Good afternoon!!

I think I finally have time to post. No practice and I came home early to meet Nathan after school. He is in his room reading right now. He ordered the Lemony Snickett series of 13 books, so he will be busy for a while.

Michele:: I can't say how cute the kids look!! Bree looks like a little Mini-Michele and the boys are so handsome!! Love the happy smiles!!
I think '94 was the year we didn't go to WDW, but took a girls' trip to Cali with my mom, sis and niece. did a day trip to Disneyland, of course!!:teeth:
The lighting in your school sounds horrible! I hope you get adjusted to it soon.

Angela:: I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. Just think; in six days you'll be in WDW!!:woohoo::woohoo:
Good luck with your garage sale on Saturday!!

Well, I have officially booked a trip to California for our summer family trip. Six nights and 5 days at a Hampton Inn near DL. We have always stayed either with my cousins or at a hotel near them in past trips, so hope this works out.
We will have the buy3-get2-free tics and hope to spend a day at Knott's Berry Farm and a little time at the beach......at least let Nathan see the Pacific Ocean.:cool2:

I hope everyone is having a great day!!

How about some nice fruit for breakfast this morning?
142520311_b8c8b691b7.jpg

Well yesterday was interesting around here.:headache: Matt was complaining of a sore throat so I sent him to school, made the appt for 11.30 and because I thought it was going to be no big deal just let him drive himself there.

Then I get a series of texts 'it's either bad strep or mono' 'strep is negative' 'now he thinks it's a virus, he is going to do a blood test' until finally....'mom, I've got mono!':eek:

I called and talked to the doctor. He said it is actually quite difficult to catch so the rest of us should not have any problems. Bree and Zach are taking Lilly to the doctor this afternoon. She is due for her next visit anyway.

I am going to wake Matt up now and see how he is feeling. The doc said if he has no fever (which he hasn't) and feels up to it he can go to school. I want him to try and go for 1st hour. Some of his classes he can do the work at home but his 1st hour is Bio2 and he is NOT dissecting that cat on my kitchen table:laughing:

Have a great day!!

Oh. Michele!! I hope Matt gets thorugh the mono without much difficulty. I suppose that was a shock to you!!
It's never a dull moment around your house, Missy.:sad2:

Thanks you for the lovely breakfast. My computer decided to do some updates and restart itself this morning.:upsidedow

Good morning!!:sunny:

TGIF!!

We have nothing planned for the weekend, but yardwork and housecleaning. Woo-Hoo!!

No ballgames this weekend. We do get to travel to Springfield, Mo. next weekend.

I hope everyone is doing well.

How about a little Mickey toast this morning?

villaware-mickey.jpg

I hope you all have a Fasntastic Friday!!:cheer2::cheer2:

hey kiddies!!!

sorry, you didn't lose me that easily.:lmao:

I can't believe it's been as long as it has been since I've been online. Time flies!!!! I can't even find a good excuse---just the usual busy-ness, computer issues and a minor flare up a couple of weeks ago.

No, the house is not on the market yet, but my goal is by next weekend it will be. My parents are coming over tomorrow afternoon to, as my mom calls it, put the "spit shine" on it. I am so grateful for them---they have gone way above and beyond with this whole process.

On top of it all, I am taking a quick jaunt down to Florida mid May. I really didn't plan on it, but I can't pass up my niece. If you recall her field trip to Epcot?? Well, she has to do a presentation on her country that she chose. It is a two day thing and evidently a big deal. It was originally May 7&8 and I mentioned it to my sister that I would like to come down to help her and see her presentation (one day is for family and friends). Well, it didn't work out with my schedule at work (clients already booked, etc) and then I realized it was Mother's Day weekend and I couldn't do that to my mom. (both daughters out of town:scared1:;)) My niece got wind of this and was none too happy. So, last week I got a message on my cell phone from her-------here's how it went-----
"um, Aunt T, um, I forgot that my presentation, um, is moved to the 14 and 15, so that's not Mother's Day weekend, so can you come down?? Pleeeeease?? bye, love you, bye."
click.
Of course, I checked into my schedule/airfare ASAP.:cutie:

Donna----thanks for all of the lovely meals!!! I am starving right now, so I wish one of those meals would jump off the screen.
Is Nathan still playing ball?? or is that season over?? (sorry, just read---springfield next weekend)
Disneyland????!!!!! you poop!!!!:rotfl::rotfl: :hippie: I WANNA GO!!!!! I WANNA GO!!!!

YM----I can't remember anything you've said.:lmao::lmao: just kiddin'
hey, did you see new Plum comes out this June?? I think?? woo-hoo!!!! I figured you'd know already.
How's DS??

Lesa---HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!!
I did get to peek at Britt's pics at work one day. They are beautiful!!!! I can't get over the zoo, though. Dogs in a zoo?? And a wiemeriner (sp??) to boot. That made me a bit sad---my sister used to have one and I just can't imagine him in a zoo.:confused3

Michele----okay, Matt is the third person in the last two weeks that I have heard has mono. What's going on?? boy, these flu bugs and "stuff" are bad this year, it seems. hope he starts feeling better.
love the old pic of the kids with Mickey!!!
I had to laugh the other day----for some reason I was thinking of our trivia game waiting for our table at LeCellier.:lmao:

Maureen----HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO STEVE!!!!
how are you feeling these days??

Linda----how's the studying going??
you have a birthday coming up soon, don't ya gurl??;);)
is Mike feeling any better??
hugs to all of you!!!!

Angela---did I read that you are going to start nursing school?? You and Linda are going to get bombarded with questions from us.:rotfl:
Did you finalize your ADR's?? I'm sure you are so excited!!!
Glad you're household is feeling better. Sounds like you had quite the time for a while there.

Pozey---HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO COURTNEY!!!
I can't believe she's that old already. As I said before----time flies!!!

I know I'm forgetting so much that I've tried to read, so forgive me. Hope everyone had a lovely Easter!!!

I know it's early, but I think I need to get some sleep. I have a work function tomorrow morning (trying to drum up new clients), then coming home to spit shine.;):rotfl:

night all!!!
:grouphug:

Hey all!! I am FINALLY feeling better

Linda the program I'm doing is Associates too, it doesn't make any difference around here and everyone starts out the same as far as salary. I think there a few things you can only do with a BSN like management positions and some specialities say they "prefer" a BSN but the field is wide open right now. I may go on and get one eventually too if I can get through the associates program, we'll just see!!

I'm having a a garage sale on Saturday to make some last minute cash for Disney, so if anyone is Knoxville this weekend swing by!!
Yay! that is good...just in time for wdw! Hope the garage sale was a hit:yay:

that is great! yeah, same around here too w/assoc. it is so much fun, but a lot of studying. Our darn psychology class...the entire book has 19 chapters and next week we have a test on ch. 1-6:headache: I've been trying to study for that in between Mike saying "its too nice out, I gotta work outside...later....can you help me please???"

Well it was back to school today. Dull, rainy, gray kind of day. Blah

We had a company come in to all the schools last week and replace all of the light fixtures with these new low energy things, that have a motion sensor so lights can't be left on now. Great, except when you walk into a room and the light goes on...it stays on for 30 minutes. Even if you were only in there for 30 seconds. And they give off a blueish white light. It is awful!! It seems like there is a haze in the room. It gives off a terrible glare and was giving everyone, including the kids, headaches. I started to get a migraine. One of the teachers has terrible migraines and had one all day. I hope we get used to it. Or this is going to be a long year.

I spent a long time last week scanning in pictures from old Disney trips. I just had to show everyone this pic that I found from our trip in 1994.

Lilly needs me. Have a great day!
omg...those lights don't sound good at all! Don't sound too energy efficient if they stay on 30 min. minimum either:headache:hope they get better w/o everyone getting headaches from them!!

oh wow that is one adorable picture!!!

Good afternoon!!

I think I finally have time to post. No practice and I came home early to meet Nathan after school. He is in his room reading right now. He ordered the Lemony Snickett series of 13 books, so he will be busy for a while.

That sounds cool, I'll have to check that out. Kenny likes to read. He got several books in his Easter basket since we don't eat much candy.

oh your CA trip sounds wonderful!!! :cloud9:

How about some nice fruit for breakfast this morning?

'mom, I've got mono!'

oh nooooo mono! I warned Kenny about that one:rotfl: I hope he is feeling better soon!!

Good morning!!:sunny:
TGIF!!
We have nothing planned for the weekend, but yardwork and housecleaning. Woo-Hoo!!
that is same here, housecleaning and yardwork...well, some homework too!

thanks for all the great meals too...I've been so busy w/school!!:scared:
It is going great, but it sure does take a LOT of time!

hey kiddies!!!

sorry, you didn't lose me that easily.:lmao:

"spit shine"

"um, Aunt T, um, I forgot that my presentation, um, is moved to the 14 and 15, so that's not Mother's Day weekend, so can you come down?? Pleeeeease?? bye, love you, bye."

:grouphug:

I sure hope we never loose ya!! that is THE sweetest message and GREAT you get a trip to FL:woohoo:
studying is great, just VERY time consuming!! I'm getting very good grades so far, but I want to make sure and keep it up! I guess I expect a lot out of myself, butthis is something I want so bad!!:cloud9:

yeah....I believe you have one as well???

Mike actually has an appt. on my birthday w/the pain dr. It seems the nerves in his back have been "catching" a lot more often and causing him major issues! the dr's want a new mri. Hopefully that will help find something they can do for him!
Have fun spit shining!
oh...and you ask all the ?'s you want, just doesn't mean you'll always get an answer:rotfl2:j/k...you know we'll do all we can for YOU GUYS:hug:

I hope they Pozey's had a great birthday celebration, I'm sure they did:yay:

I hope everyone is great...I better get my nose back in the books!!

Just wanted to sneak in and say hello!

Donna I'm sure 13 Lemony Snickett will keep Nathan busy for a while! Has he had any games yet? DL sounds like it will be fun. I've only been once and would love to go back!

2x glad you stopped in! I hope all goes well putting your house up. Better get spit shining!;) Your DNiece sounds so sweet!:goodvibes

Angela I'm glad your all feeling better! Have a safe trip!

Linda that's a lot of chapters all at once!:scared: I'm sure you'll do great! Poor Mike, I hope they find something to help him.:guilty:

Pozey I hope Courtney had a good birthday!

Michele I hope Matt is feeling better!

Not much in the way of goings on here! I hope everyone has a great weekend. We had 2 nice days now we're back to cold and rain.

Good morning, everyone!!

I guess we are getting our rain again today. It sprinkled a little here yesterday and started raining last night. Thank goodness all of us got out Friday evening and mowed/trimmed the yard!!:woohoo:

2x2s:: It's great to see you!! I hope you got your house "spit shined" and ready to get on the market. I agree that you do have a great mom and dad.:thumbsup2
I'll let that remark about me being a "poop" slide for now.;) I think I was going to have to come up with a new place to vacation before Gary started refusing to go.:rolleyes1 I'm pretty excited about Southern California. I got a $79 rate on SW to Orange Co.......it was meant to be.:teeth:
Awe....the message from your niece was so sweet.:cutie: I would have been checking out airfare in an instant, too!!

Linda:: YIKES!! That is a lot of reading/studying you have to do this weekend.
Nathan has enjoyed the books a lot more than he did the movie. I think that he and Gary rated it among one of the worst movies they had every seen. Once Nathan read the books, he went back and watched the movie again, then didn't think it was so bad. I only watched it a little bit the second time and didn't think it was too bad.

Lesa:: Hello, there!!:wave2: Nathan hasn't actually had a ballgame since the first of March. We are traveling to Springfield, Mo. next weekend for games on Sat. and Sun.
I know what you mean about the two nice days. Just spoils us, doesn't it?

YourMajesty:: What's going on in your neck of the woods? Is youngest DS starting ball practice? Has older DS started his swimming?
I have a great idea about you guys visiting the Bass Pro Shop in Springfiled next weekend!!:rolleyes1;)

I just have to find my recipe for Eggs Benedict this morning. I'll be back in a few.

eggs-benedict_1357.jpg

I hope you all have a Sunny Sunday!! :sunny:

Hey Donna...thanks for breakfast! DS has not started swimming...mostly because I haven't enrolled him yet. I'm not sure what I'm waiting for?:rolleyes1 I was thinking the same thing about the Bass Pro Shop...then we could always watch a little basketball?:rolleyes1:thumbsup2 I'll have to look at our schedule a little closer.

Oh Michele...I had mono around this time of year when I was a senior in high school. I was also dissecting a cat in advanced biology...how weird is that. I was really sick. I think I missed a week and a day of school but when I started feeling better that was it...kind of like the flu. I know some kids take longer to get well. My throat was so swollen my tonsils touched, I couldn't even swallow a couple of days...that's probably enough details. :scared: I hope Matt feels better soon.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend...I think someone is doing some spit shining...right?;)

Good morning, all!!

It's another gloomy, rainy Monday here today......so what else is new?

We got a call last night that Nathan has practice tonight and Friday from 6pm-8pm. We were planning on being on the road to Springfield by 6am. The kids and adults are going to be a little tired, I'm afraid.

YourMajesty:: Don't worry about not signing DS up for swimming; I guess it would be a summer thing anyway, right? Is the pool indoors or out? In our town we have an indoor at the rec complex where Nathan plays ball, but there is also an outdoor one that belongs to the towns park system and Recreation Dept.
Don't forget to check that schedule.;)

I just happen to have a big plate full of jelly donuts. Care to join me?

dssrt_01284_l.jpg

I hope you all have a Merry Monday!!:yay::yay:

Donna, thanks for the great food, as always:hug:

6am...yikes! yes...tired for sure!

I'll have to check the movie out for him too!

yes, its a crazy week for me. Psych ch 1-6 is 40 ?'s and timed:headache: 1 hr 15 minutes...says NOT open book...but its an ONLINE class:lmao:

learning lots about bacteria and gram stains:woohoo::laughing:too bad you weren't up here Angela...we could study together!!:cheer2:its not too bad so far, just a LOT of info to memorize!!

I hope everyone has a great week! :yay:

Hey all, just checking in one last time before we take off in the morning to WDW! Unfortunately our laptop is having wireless issues so I won't be able to post while we are there unless we can plug it into the router at the townhouse:(.

Michele I hope Matt is feeling better. I never had mono but I knew people who did and it just sucks all the energy out of you. I hope he is on the mend soon!

2x2 I hope you got your place all shined up this weekend. :) I got mine as clean as it's been in a long time because I don't want to come home to yuck, it depresses me so I have to really clean!

Linda, I love hearing about what you are learning and it would be great to go through it with someone you know!! All my transcripts have been received by the Junior college here so when I get back I'm going to make an appointment with an advisor. I will probably only take 2 classes the first semester so I can ease back into doing school and then load up to maybe 4 in the spring. I'm a little nervous and can imagine taking classes during the day I'll be an old foagie next to most of them! :lmao:

We are pretty much packed, I just finished with the suitcase and we will put it in the car along with our case of water and some other stuff. We'll do the cooler in the morning and then we are out! On a sad note (cover your ears Pozey), my monthly visitor is stopping by and I hope "she" doesn't ruin my week. Praying for a short visit! :rotfl: If you are awake at 4am think of me getting in the car or trying to get the rest of my family to move and get in the car!

I hope everybody has a great week!!

My girlfriend emailed me this today. I thought you all would like it.

Attitude

There once was a woman who woke up one morning,

looked in the mirror,

and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.

'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.'

So she did, and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up,

looked in the mirror

and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.

'H-M-M,' she said,

'I think I'll part my hair down the middle today.'

So she did, and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up,

looked in the mirror and noticed

that she had only one hair on her head.

'Well,' she said, 'today I'm going

to wear my hair in a pony tail.'

So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up,

looked in the mirror and noticed

that there wasn't a single hair on her head.

'YAY!' she exclaimed.

'I don't have to fix my hair today!'

Attitude is everything.

Be kinder than necessary,

for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Live simply,

Love generously,

Care deeply,

Speak kindly...

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...

It's about learning to dance in the rain.

Matt is doing a little better today. Blake took him to the Urgent Care yesterday. His throat pain was just too much for him. This is a kid who breaks bones and wants to just keep playing. So this is just killing him. He has been sleeping around 15 hours a day. He thinks he will go back to school Wed. He feels really badly for his lab partner who has been stuck doing the cat by herself. He will probably only go for the morning.

We took Lilly to the Toledo Zoo on Saturday. It was a gorgeous day and perfect for the zoo. Unfortunately, everyone else thought so too. As we got there we were told the parking lot was full, we were welcome to drive around and hope to find something otherwise they had no advise:confused3 We ended up stalking some poor family back to their car:rolleyes1

Lilly loved the animals. No matter what we were looking at, she saw no reason to go further. This one was quite lovely enough. She would get upset when we made her leave.

We did have a little window into what our Disney trip is going to be like. Bree took her on the Merry-go-round. She loved it. She copied some of the other kids and threw her arm in the arm yelling "Yeehaw!!"
Then the ride ended. Oh the fit she threw. She didn't want to get off. Took her back around and put her on again. This time when it was over I had Blake go and grab her and we took her to see the monkeys. She enjoyed looking at them but when I picked her up she just kept saying.

'horse, horse, where are you?' This kid kills me!!!:rotfl2:

This is as close as she would get to the Hippo

Angela...have a GREAT time!!!

Linda...how great that you are working so hard to fulfill a dream! Good for you!

Donna...thanks for breakfast! It was a horribly gloomy day. Blake and I went out tonight and got Nick's birthday present. He wants a new iPod and we were able to get him one in blue, which is what he wanted. Last time we were at Costco they didn't have any. We were pleasantly surprised tonight. He will be 16 on Thursday!!! He says he isn't quite ready to take his road test. He thinks sometime in May.:thumbsup2 I told him to just tell me when. Blake was going to take him out on Sunday but spent 4 hours at the doctors with Matthew.

2x2...how great to see you again. Good luck getting the house together. How sweet of your neice!! Of course you had to book a trip!!

YM...your mono experience sounds an awful (and I mean AWFUL!) lot like Matt's. He has lost 15 pounds and he doesn't have it to lose!!! Now me on the other hand! I have found about that much this winter:scared1:

Lesa...wouldn't it be fun to go back to Disneyland? We had a ball didn't we??? Give the girls a kiss for me. Lilly was looking at a picture of you guys today and I'm sorry but all 4 of you are now named Madison!!:lmao:

Have a great night all!!

Good morning, my friends!!

Well, I guess Angela is on her way to WDW by now. I'm thinking of you heading south!!!:wave2: Have fun!!

Michele:: I loved the message you posted! I agree, it's all in the attitude.
There is no way your baby is going to be 16!!:scared1: That's great that Nick wants to wait to take his test. I don't think my niece is in that much of a hurry, either. I feel like my sister is REALLY pushing her to get her license and Cassie could care less.:confused3
I'll bet Lilly was so much fun to take to the zoo!! the pics are adorable. She's going to love Cinderella's Carousel!!:yay:
I hope Matt gets to feeling better. Poor guy, losing 15 pounds.:sad1:

Linda:: Now you're not going to open that book during the test are you?:surfweb::rotfl: Good luck. Sounds like info overload, for sure!!

Speaking of birthdays; I think 2x2s may have one coming up this weekend, if I remember correctly.princess:;) Got any special plans?

I had better get moving. The Highlander is getting serviced today, so Gary has to take me to work. Guess I had better be ready.:rolleyes1

I think I'm in the mood for a little French Toast this morning.......yummmm.

French%20Toast.jpg

I hope you all have a "Toasty" Tuesday!!:grouphug::grouphug:

Hey all we made it and we've got internet connection!! :) We got here in about 10 1/2 hrs and it went by really fast, maybe because I wasn't doing any driving this time. The boys were so good until the last 30 minutes, I was really proud of them not a ton of bickering it was great. I also ordered our tickets from undercover tourist and picked them up when we got into Orlando and everything went great. I had ordered from them before but never did the pickup at the UPS store, no problems at all. The boys and I got into the plunge pool for awhile, the boys stayed in way longer. It's windy down here and at least today it was not burning hot so even at 86 degrees the pool felt cold to me. We are headed to MK in the morning for rope drop!! I'll keep you posted!

Michele those pictures of Bree and Lilly are beautiful, I can't believe how big Lilly is. Time flies. I feel so bad for Matt, hope he's better soon!

Hi to everyone!! I'll post tomorrow! :)

Hey Donna...I haven't even said thanks for the jelly donuts! Oh, and the french toast! :thanks: Are you ready for your big trip to Springfield? That has to be about 4-5 hours from your neck of the woods...right?

Hi Linda...if I remember correctly biology has a ton of memory work.:headache: I thought it was hard and a little boring. One of my favorite classes was physiology! I had a great teacher...had to study like crazy.

Michele...thanks for sharing the pictures. Lily is precious. I enjoyed the picture with her mom too! I'm sorry to hear about Matt. I had no idea a throat could ever be that sore and swollen when I had it. I really feel bad for him. It's something I remember very clearly even though it was 22 years ago. I remember my goal for the day was to get up and brush my teeth. I don't want to sound too gross but my throat and tonsil were covered in so much gunk that when I started feeling better it actually just broke off in chunks. Sorry folks...maybe I should have sent a PM?:rolleyes1 I remember getting some pain medicine but I threw it up because I really couldn't eat or drink. When I turned the corner I did great...it wasn't weeks of recovery...thank goodness. Oh, I lost about 8-10lbs but as usual I had it to spare!;) I hope he zips back into shape soon.:flower3: Were his liver enzymes elevated?

Hi Madison...how's it going.:lmao: Ok, sorry Lesa, but I couldn't resist. My nephew who just turned four goes under an alias name almost everyday....ie his dad, brother, my kids...he's hilarious.

Hmmm...2x2s...I think I owe you a call?;) Hope you got all your 'spit shining' done!:yay: Florida sounds nice...does your niece need her aunt's friend to come too?:rotfl:

Hi Angela! It's always exciting to hear from someone while they are living the good life at WDW!pixiedust: Your trip down sounded really good...especially the boys! My boys pick at each other constantly. One always choses the opposite of the other.:headache: Have a great time at MK!

Good morning!!

Angela:: Glad to hear your trip down was smooth and uneventful! I think I get a little overexcited on that last leg of the trip myself.;)
Have fun at the Mk today and I hope you have great weather!

YourMajesty::Yes, I think one of the mothers actually said it was a four and a half hour drive, but I imagine that was going the speed limit and didn't include the bathroom breaks.:yay:(That's me having to "go"!!)
You poor thing, your mono sounded pretty bad.

I think we need to have a special, magical breakfast in honor of Angela's trip. I get to sit by Daisy Duck!!

normal_breakfast-2007-01.jpg

I hope you all have a WDW Wednesday!!

Happy Earth Day!

Angela I hope your having a wonderful trip!

Donna thanks for the wonderful breakfasts! So 4 and 1/2 hour drive to Springfield....You'd better have a bladder of steal when you drive with me...we don't stop for bathroom breaks! :rolleyes1 ;) :lmao: My DH is not aloud to drink in the car because he has a bladder the size of a peanut and would have to stop 10xs before we made it to our destination.

Michele cute pictures of Lilly. I'll take being called Madison, at least I have a name!;) Sorry Matt is feeling so bad, I hope he feels better soon.

YM it took me a minute to figure out why you called me Madison! My kids pick on each other in the car too! Someone is always complaining the other is on their side!:headache: The highlight of Britt being gone to Guatemala was Maddie had the whole back seat to herself.:upsidedow

2x I hope you were able to get your spit shining done.

Linda how is the studying going?

Well I've got tons to do! :laundy: Have a great day!!!
