What are your Disney pet peeves?

Ok I probably sound so old fashioned and im obviously not and maybe gunna get ripped for this, but if you have facial hair, which again used to be unacceptable, please trim/groom and maintain and follow what used to be Disney standard.

dare I add.... tattoos used to not be visible amongst Disney employees... I wish they would go back to the rules of tattoos needing to be covered... probably makes me old fashioned as well...

My pet peeves:

1. Loud guests on rides - we once had a guy sing "Small World" very loudly through the entire ride. Reciting the HM spiel is bad, too.
2. Line cutters
3. Needing to make park reservations as an AP holder staying in a Disney resort
4. When you are one of the first at the rope and you get all the way to your first ride and THEN there are CMs telling guests that the ride is delayed. On our last trip, we got all the way down to the front of PP before 4 cms who were standing in front of the line entrance told us the ride was down. Couldn't 2 of those cms have waited by the Carousel or by the entrance to SDMT to tell
us that? We told a ton of people headed that way that it was down as we walked back to try to
get in a different line.
5. That Tron isn't open for EMH
6. Disneyland not having EMH anymore.
7. That the entrance from GCH into CA isn't exclusively for on-site guests. I think all guests should be able to leave the park from that entrance, but it should be an on-property perk to enter the park by that entrance. That would cut down on the huge security lines that can
build there.
8. Park guests who use the lobby of the GCH as their mid-day napping spot

Boy, I feel like an old grouch with this list.

Staying at a Disney resort as an AP holder and having to make park reservations.

We're local and didn't renew our APs and haven't gone to the parks since they started with the park reservations. Quite a few of our friends don't go anymore either for the same reason.

I noticed last time I went to DLR what poor condition the ride vehicles on mr toad were. Like the seats all scratched and banged up. We used to call that "bad show" when i worked on that attraction and Disney prided itself on the upkeep of the park and attractions. It made me sad to see this being acceptable these days.

Yup in the old days the park always looked shiny and new. Now it is a bit shabby around the edges.

I agree and I was going to put this but I had to test the waters with what I put first it can look a little ergm county fairish, especially if what i mentioned before is included on top, im afraid and sorry if I sound like my mother

Having a DL Magic Key and seeing weekend reservations book up weeks in advance, requiring significant advance planning or the 11pm refresh lottery the night before as people cancel their reservations.

Not being able to room charge using mobile order. I want my Disney Inspire Visa credits.

Possibly a hot button topic, but the CMs at times aggressively yelling "fill in all available space" even when people have generally done so already. I find it especially irritating given Disney's own Accessibility Guide suggests that you encourage members of your party to help form space around you in line if you are neurodivergent and may need extra space. I have a neurodivergent son and we do not utilize DAS, so this one maybe hits close to home.

At counter service restaurants during busy times, when the tables are all full, people who stake out their table before receiving their food. It results in poor guests wandering around with trays of food getting cold while people chill at the tables. No issue with it when the restaurants aren't busy. Same with people who sit at tables for a long time after they finish their food and see people struggling to find somewhere to sit. Yes, it is your right to sit there, but helping your fellow park guests by moving along is just courtesy. I get this is a mixed one as people may have a genuine need to sit for a bit, but at least at DL with all the APs, I've seen people working with their laptops while people wander around with their trays. (I wish there were more air conditioned places to relax at the parks, but I digress.)

Last month when I was at Aulani, mobile orders did get billed to the room. Therefore, they obviously have the technology & ability to do it, but why won't they do it at WDW or DLR? Normally I wouldn't care about this, but yes, now I want the room charges on my Chase Disney Inspire Visa to try and get that incentive. (And I didn't get my Inspire until after the Aulani trip. Doh!)

Aggressive CMs, yeah, that pissed me off last trip to WDW. The pre-show for RnR is closed so people were just treating the pre-show room as a line. I mean, as guests, it would be rude for people to position themselves to get ahead in the pre-show room when there isn't even a pre-show. But the CMs were repeatedly yelling at us to not be in line and fill in all space.

I don't mind the appearance of a CM, it matters far more to me that they treat people kindly (and that guests do the same) than what they look like, besides some of the worst guest behavior has come from people who appear to be well-kempt in the form of entitlement.

If I have a poor interaction with a CM what they look like isn't a detail I even think about, it's that the experience ended up being soured so bring on the tattoos and more I'll take that over rudeness any day.

The parties however IMO cause the most issues simply because they close the parks down earlier

Yes MK party season is fun for the parties and very disruptive otherwise. We visited the middles of Dec ‘23 and Nov ‘24 and then first week of Nov ‘25 during the short break between MNSSHP/MVMCP. Party days have low crowds at MK, which is great. But by contrast I found the overall experience of visiting between parties a much better value proposition. Not dealing with whacky flow of MK party crowds directly made a more pleasant trip.

For guests who value the night entertainment at MK, a hopper* can make some improvement. You can take advantage of low crowd party days and just pop in to MK on a non-party night after doing a different park that day. At least that way you can skip the crazy day crowds of non-party days.

What can’t be avoided/improved - how next level bonkers the non-party nights are. So the only way to see HEA and Starlight is in zoo mode. Everybody’s crammed into those nights. Zoo-mode option only for nearly all of Oct-Dec.

What can be done though. People like the parties. I liked them too but from now on we’ll work to avoid when possible.

AP reservations during onsite stays Gets my 1st prize for most annoying! Because I seriously question if the benefit to them comes anywhere near justifying the negative impacts to guest experience. At least this one is so stupid I fell optimistic it’ll eventually get changed.

*not to mention how annoying the need to add hoppers for nearly $100pp on top of already very expensive tickets just to navigate around MK party season

Exactly, it's the planning around all that, the wanting to see nighttime stuff at MK but having so little days to even choose from to begin with plus things happen and sometimes the evening entertainment can't go on.

We always get park hoppers but it's still hard to plan around party nights with that just with how you may want to do the other parks. Totally with you on costs!

And while I don't have an AP I am annoyed on behalf of AP holders who have to deal with such strange rules around them and at the fact that they still exist in the form they do in 2026.

I know many of us are planners around here but it's like a full time job sometimes trying to plan something around the amount of days taken up with something going on that can affect the hours or crowds
