Well...nothing new here. Youngest DS is playing baseball. Seems a little slow with only one in sports...but I think it is helping with the knee.

Mike had a test to take yesterday, so he had to sit at his college while he took a test, said he was great and just played DS
so Mike bought him a Happy Meal and some Bakugan, and says I spoil him

Our's don't start for another few weeks, but I don't think Kenny wants to play this year
we'll have to see. I've been thinking about getting him into martial arts. I asked him last night if he'd like lessons to play guitar, he says "no, I wanna play the drums"
I like the guitar idea better, I'm sure our neighbors would agree...but who knows!!

Not much going on here. Gary did take the rest of the week off to be with Nathan during his spring break. Yesterday they went to the Rec Center so that Nathan could get his practice shots in; it's just been too wet and windy in oour driveway. I have just been busy working.

Linda I add my congratulations for the good grades. It must be hard sometime wearing so many different hats but I know you are doing a good job with all of them. That's sort of what we woman do best isn't it? Just don't forget to take some time just for yourself.
My cardiac non-running stress test was today. I actually thought it was yesterday so Steve took Monday night off work so he could go with me. Lucky for me I called the doctor office Tuesday morning to make sure it would be allright for me to take my morning pills. The nurse said "oh, you mean for your appointment tomorrow"? I can be dumb as a rock sometime.
At least we didn't show up only to be sent home. I wouldn't let him take another night off so Michele went with me. I was so worried since a lady at Steve's work told him that she had the test and not to let me have it. She said they give you a shot to speed up your heart as though you were running and her's got too fast and they had to stop the test.
I understand that they can do it that way but mine was long but so easy.
They gave me a shot of radioactive material then took a series of base pictures of my heart. Then they administer something which dilates the veins to mimic what happens when you run. EKG's are taken and something is then given which brings the veins back to normal and more digital heart pictures taken and you go home. Took several hours but it was a breeze. The doctors office called this evening to say that the cardiologist had read the tests and my heart is just great with the blood being pumped just the way it should be. So YEA!!!
Now I will have to get off my duff and start exercising the way I should.
Today (the 9th) is my DH's 70th birthday. He has always been the kind to say that he didn't need anything and didn't want any fuss made, but he really has kept mentioning that his birthday was coming up. So we are celebrating it on Easter Sunday when I will have the kids who live here for dinner. We have to babysit Michaels' two little girls today so I will have them "help" me make his favorite pineapple upside-down cake as a surprise.

I'm so glad you found out your appt. was the next day. I think sometimes THEY put it down wrong too! Sorry Steve wasn't able to go, but glad Michele could. I'm sure you were a little anxious, esp. after hearing a negative report on someone else! I'm so glad it all went well
