No, you can only add a dining plan to a package booking. You can book a ticketless package with room & dining. Or a room& ticket package without dining. Or a room only & buy tickets separately. You can not have a room only reservation with a dining plan.
We will most likely do the math and figure out what would work money wise since we will be paying for my sister-in-law and her wife. I would think maybe since for them it will be a value resort, it would be wiser to just pay room rate and add dining. As opposed to paying for their food the whole trip. They will get their own park tickets, then. I've got a lot going on! But really just looking ahead to our own big Anniversary CR CL splurge!! Thanks for more info to absorb, lol
 


I will be booking a BB offer when my daughter and I get back from our October trip. I will be doing the room only, but I know that instead of doing a "package" like Disney would like, lol, there is a way to just add QS dining and 2 days tickets so I can hold onto that % room only discount. How do I word that request when I call? I know I read it on here somewhere, lol, but can't seem to locate it! Thanks!
That is exactly what a package reservation is. It's a type booking that will allow you to add tickets and/or dining. That is their default screen, and you just ask to "book a package with a bounceback discount at X hotel with 2 day (base or PH) tix and QSDP."

The bounceback discount will only apply to the room portion (ergo, why it's a room only type of discount).

A room only reservation is only for the room and you cannot add tickets or dining.

A room-only reservation and a room-only type of discount refer to different things (one is a type of booking that includes *only* the room, and the other one is a type of discount where the discount applies only to the room portion of the booking).

We just returned and I called this week to book a BB offer. I was surprised that almost a year out, some of what I wanted was not available. Initially I was looking for 10 nights, Pop, Standard room and had to change our trip dates to 10 days earlier than we normally go to find that availability. I booked that but then last night called and requested a shorter 8 night stay and thankfully CM was able to accommodate that during our 'normal' vacation dates.

All this to say, as the BB offer is out for a longer period of time, options available are decreased. I would recommend booking sooner than later in your trip if you have definite dates you are looking to book.

I did not ask the CM to look at values because I don't want to stay there, but no deluxe or moderates. I think there were a few days open at the end of October, but I woudl have had to accept rack rate for the rest of my stay and at that point I was fed up with the process and gave up.

I just called 2 days ago and i have 2 stays in 25 on books to apply discount to.
The first stay during race week in April no problem applying to Room only at POFQ and they didnt try to make a package or even ask if i wanted any of that. Same RO listed on same reservation number.
The only week available for the discount in Oct. is the last week in October as far as dates that are included in the bounce back. I tried on the last week of October to get anything inside the contemporary and I wanted it in the tower. She tried and she also called guest services while I was on to see if they could try, but there was nothing available in the tower, she did however, offer me Garden Wing, so that was available. She also told me to call back while I’m still valid in the bounce back because things are fluid.

Were you trying to get dates that are excluded from the offer? Only certain dates are included - all listed in the first post.

I did not want the garden wing. We dont know if we can travel in the beginning of the year so I did not look at that timeframe

Yes, i understand—just wanted you to be aware it was available for the bounceback dates in case.
The first part about April was mainly intended for others on this thread who may in general be interested on how availability is going.

It’s not that those 5 days are all that’s let in October, those are the only days that were ever included. October is very popular & the majority of the month has been excluded from most discounts for years.

We got GF CL for end of July 2025.

Note, it’s still super expensive with the 35% off and my calculations were off by a little; I think it’s because my youngest is turning 18 during the trip, so it looks like we’re also adding $70+ tax in extra adult fees (for 2 adult children).

Summer is the new low season. Between heat and storms, many prefer to visit WDW at a different time.

Was able to modify from BWI Resort View to GF Deluxe Room X4 nights in January earlier today. Once again, the room was only available as a (ticketless) package vs. room only. Got very lucky with the room and also with the CM--she was probably the best phone CM I've ever dealt with--felt like I was chatting with an old friend for 15-20 minutes (I still dread making those bounceback phone calls though--it's an internal struggle to pick up the phone EVERY SINGLE TIME--Love that 35% off though!)

And someone can correct me, but if you already had a ticketless package reservation for your bounceback, I don't believe you would be able to get a room-only reservation at this point because they cannot modify a ticketless package into a room only. They would have have to cancel your ticketless package, refund your deposit and book a new room only reservation with a new deposit. If you are more than 7 days from your checkout, you cannot book a new Bounceback reservation.

I love BWI CL, probably my favorite, but this is going to be a Magic Kingdom heavy trip so GF just works so much better, regardless of the state of construction. Only CR Resort View and WL Deluxe were available on Tuesday when I called, and since this is a package I really wanted things “more finalized” (as if there is such a thing) in that 7 day window. We were just in the Atrium Club last week so CR didn’t work and even though the boats are quick, I like multiple options for coming/going. I’m generally modifying things until about 2 weeks before so not having a room only res was concerning. One bonus of a package though is that you can just make payments online without having call in.

Yeah, the ticketless package is not ideal for those that do not need tickets or dining because the modification and cancellation terms are not as favorable.

I am curious about the discount only being available as a ticketless package because that is different than what I've seen before when booking with a discount, both calling for a bounceback and booking online. I wonder whether something has changed or if you have gotten some CMs on the phone that are not as knowledgeable or that are purposely trying to direct you to a package product because CMs appear to be incentivized to book packages. Also, if you already have a ticketless package booked, they do have to do more work because they have to first cancel your booking and then book a (less incentivized) room only. I wish we had some type of inside knowledge of how this works.
 
If I book a bb package and need to change my dates after the initial 7 days return home are gone, i can do that without losing my discount IF my new dates are available. I might have to change resorts so that I can keep my bb discount for my new date but once I book a bb I am not tied to my initial dates forever to get the discount
