We love this itinerary because we love sea days!
Todd was up at 5:20 to go walk on Decks 4, 5 and 6. As we’ve mentioned, he wasn’t a big fan of the missing promenade. In addition, one side was often closed for cleaning and maintenance. So, he did a lot of back and forth to get all his steps. He walked a bit over 5 miles all in that little space! He came back to wake me up around 7:20 and we took showers and got ready to head to breakfast.
We headed up to Marceline Market around 8:00 for our first buffet breakfast of the cruise. We don’t care for the fact that the buffet isn’t self-serve. Todd was especially missing his waffle toppings, since he could only logistically fit a couple little cups of strawberries and whipped cream - he typically puts A LOT more! I was happy with my usuals of hash browns, bacon and some other things.
Todd’s breakfast. Mickey waffles and Eggs Benedict are staples for him.
I was super excited about POG juice and also what we call “nuts and berries” - an assortment of toppings from the oatmeal bar without the oatmeal
After breakfast, we headed to Easy Disney Trivia (with Violet - who we remembered from the Fantasy the previous year). I don’t recall our score, but we did not win. Our experience on the Wish-class ships is that the trivia sessions are very crowded, so there’s a lot more competition (and fewer available seats!). We still had fun! After trivia, I headed up to Deck 11 to relax and watch some of The Incredibles on Funnel Vision while Todd headed to the gym to work on some of his physical therapy exercises.
While I was hanging out, I contacted a fellow DisBoards member (@DisneyWitch ) to see if she and her partner wanted to meet up with us at Brainteasers Trivia. Todd came and found me and I grabbed an ice cream on the way to trivia. This trivia was in Triton Lounge and was super crowded, definitely standing room only and we didn’t end up being able to sit near Andrea and Frank. We did say hello and then we were able to chat a bit and planned to meet up at another trivia after lunch.
Ice cream!
We went back to Marceline Market to see what was available for lunch. I had another great salad, this time with strawberries, radishes and walnuts. Todd was very excited about the cream puffs he found for dessert!
My cruise of salads is off to a good start
All told, Todd had three dishes of the cream puffs
Coriander and Sage were doing a Jungle Cruise: An Interactive Adventure Story in the Grand Hall at 12:45, so we headed for that. We thought that the two playing these roles were fantastic and enjoyed everything we watched them do. This was no exception. They were funny and the people participating seemed to be having an excellent time! We walked around for a bit and took an adventure down to Deck 2 to see our room (2623) location for the Destiny. We’ll be doing that in May 2026!
Part of our Deck 2 exploring included a stop outside the kids club area
To be continued in Part 2…
Question of the Post: Do you like to get up earlier or sleep in on sea days?
