Booking 11 months out for arrival on 1/1/06???

I want to book at my home resort BCV for 5 nights arriving 1/1/06 for a studio. Would I need to book this day by day or do you think I'm safe to wait until I can book it all at once?

I would say you are safe booking it all at once. We are BCV studio reservers as welland have never had a problem (in the 11 month window) with late January, first week of May, last week of October, and first week of December. Whih reminds me, I need to book our 12/3/05 trip next week! January, with the exception of the MLK holiday is generally a "slow" time of year.

I doubt that you would have any problems waiting until 1/6 to book the whole stay all at one time. I only do day by day, if it's a peak time.

Thanks. I was concerned since the arrival day would be New Years Day. I'm guessing many will be checking out that day, though?

I don't think you need to call day by day for that reservation, either. 1/1/2006 is a Sunday. IMHO, most people/schools will have to be back from the Holidays on Monday, 1/2/2006. So it shouldn't be a problem.

If you continue to worry about it, call MS for the first night when the 11 month window opens and ask the CM for advice on the rest of the stay. I'm sure he/she will know if day by day for the rest is necessary. I'm betting it won't be.

Believe it or not, my kids don't have to go back to school until 1/10!!! How weird is that?!?

We saw it as a perfect opportunity for a DVC trip!

Shan... I would book the first night at the 11 month window, and go from there.... Low points, day after a big party night.... I know I would stay put the day after NYE.

I thought you had to book 11 months from your check-out date... would that mean you'd have to go through the check-out/check-in process each day if you reserve one day at a time?

No. You can book day by day and they change it in the system for you. Just let MS know what you are doing so they can only send you 1 confirmation.
