Too late for that.

Wow, I don't know whether to laugh or roll my eyes. I wonder if his campaign is running around retrieving all the pamphlets. Yikes!!!

And we didn't hear a peep from the liberal elites about this particular mixing of politics and religion, did we?

Isn't it nice that your country doesn't have to make any hard military decisions to save Canadian lives because you just sit back and rely on US protection?
It's easy to judge from outside the ring. Why don't you try getting in the ring for once?
Too late for that.

"I believe in the power of prayer. Through prayer, not only can we strengthen ourselves in adversity, but we can also find the empathy and compassion and the will to deal with the problems that we do control. What I pray for is the strength and the wisdom to be able to act on those things that I can control. And that's what I think has been lacking sometimes in our government. We've got to express those values through our government, not just through our religious institutions."
Of course not, because Obama is above letting his faith influence his role in government.
Oops!! Maybe not. Did Obama steal this from a GWB speech??![]()
****Nevermind for lack of interest*****

If you've got a point, please make it. Your fancy scan job is supposed to mean what?
And while you're at it, please show me and the good folks here exactly how Obama has been racist or exhibited any hatred towards any group?
Is that the point you're trying to make? Be my guest: show me and the good folks here what Obama's faith has meant?
Who put that out? I can't see the "paid for by" part.
It's right in the middle - "Paid for by Obama for America".
Again, I got the images from TMP - a very liberal blog.
My fancy scan job? I'm not sure what you are talking about. This is a pamphlet that the Obama campaign put out in South Carolina, before the primary there. One of my favorite liberal bloggers (Josh Marshall) had the images on his site.
I was responding to your comment, that we shouldn't mix religion and politics. I don't see any of the other Presidential candidates putting out a pamphlet that so overtly and blatantly does just that. Only Obama.
Yes, caught that. Of course, can't really be elected in the country unless you are Christian and make sure everyone knows it.
No, what I said is one's religious faith should be private. What happens at ones's church should be free of infilitrators who want to crash the service for their own political reasons. What I said was the relationship with one's pastor should be private and not subject to busybodies looking to find a gotcha to use as a weapon.
However if someone has found that their religious faith propels them to help the sick or the poor, more power to them.
Like every privacy issue, religious faith should be private, unless one wishes to profess their religious faith. The issue with privacy isn't that someone loses the right to share, but that you have no right to pry.
But anytime you'd like to spearhead the movement to completely separate religion from politics, be my guest and sign me up.
What a candidate seeks for political purposes is fair game politically.
The problem is we're mixing religion and politics. Keep the 2 separate, IMO.
What? You mean he's not a Muslim? Dang.Yes, caught that. Of course, can't really be elected in the country unless you are Christian and make sure everyone knows it.
"The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity, but that she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know (pause) there's a reaction in her that doesn't go away and it comes out in the wrong way."
But that's not all you said. You also said:
That's a political brochure, distributed during a Presidential primary. And it very pointedly mixes Obama's candidacy with his faith.
Are you now saying it's okay for him to do that?
And who said anything about crashing services and infilterators? No one did that in the case of Wright. He was selling the DVD's of his sermons on the internet.
