We are headed down in Oct with my 12dd, 9dd and 6ds. My 6 yr old has never been. We are doing first two days in MK. I have a lunch at BOG for first day and dinner there for second day.

I know it’s personal preference, but, we definitely want to do dinner before HEA and see the Beast on the second night. But, for lunch, the day before, I just don’t see any better options for lunch unless we just do a CS lunch. I was thinking we could dine in different rooms to change it up. I think the theme and decor are so cool. Dumb idea? Is it a waste to do BOG twice?

We frequently do it twice (or more) per trip. It's my favorite QS lunch in MK. I can't speak to dinner for after it becomes prix fixe, but I always liked our dinners there in the past.

I think it's fine! But yes by then BOG dinner will be prix fixe. If you're ok with the price and menu for that, go for it and enjoy! Meeting Beast is very cool!

It's amazingly well themed, so I say go for it! The only recommendation I have is it takes a good chunk of time to eat there. When we were there in 2016, we waited about 30-45 minutes before we got seated for lunch, even with a reservation. It may have quieted down since then though.

if you pre-order the wait time substantially drops as you dont need to go to the kiosks to order. and there have been times we've done BOG for lunch followed by dinner - the same night! enjoy!

Definitely do it, we did something similar (twice in 3 days, lunch first then dinner later) because we knew we'd likely be seated in the ballroom for dinner, and wanted to sit in the West Wing for lunch.

Since the experiences at lunch and dinner are different, meaning lunch is QS and dinner is TS + you meet the Beast, I see no reason to cancel. It's not "too much" BOG if that's your concern!

I have both lunch and dinner booked on the same day.
With the plan of dropping dinner, if I don't like the prefix dinner

Have been to both BOG and LTT for lunch in the past month or so. If you're already doing BOG for dinner, I would go LTT for lunch. Food is way better, IMO.

We have both planned on our upcoming trip. We've done dinner before but I wanted to try lunch for the food. I like the menu and I'm not crazy about the QS options at MK. So it's a win win for me.

THANK YOU all for the advice!!! I am leaning on keeping it for now. Might do LTT for lunch on the second day. Again, thank you.

you know that BoG is also a "CS" lunch, right? although the food is served to you, it's not a TS.

That said I find I drive myself with bonkers and spacing things out and trying to make sure there is a variety and ultimately it doesn't matter. I ended up doing garden grill breakfast one day and 'Ohana the next and was like wow, that was dumb. but it was fine and food was good at both and I was ready for more eggs and bacon and waffles 24 hours later. I also have eaten Yak & Yeti, Boma, Sanaa and Tusker house back to back to back to back which I would probably open my big mouth and advise someone against because on paper it seems weird but we enjoyed every meal, I love that kind of food.

We also ate LTT twice in one trip because my kid couldn't enjoy his lunch the first time due to ill timed meds, so we had a mulligan. Both excellent meals, didn't feel like it was as dumb as it would sound on paper.

So my advice is don't worry so much about what looks good on paper and just enjoy. Yes you can sit in different rooms!

All great points. Thanks!

We dined at BOG twice in one day back when it first opened and weren’t thrilled with dinner. So now we usually do lunch twice a trip. We have never gone back for dinner.

This thread is an eye opener. BoG regularly gets ripped online as being overrated yet when someone asks for specifics clearly people are booking it every trip and sometimes twice? Wild stuff.

I know, it's totally wacky that on the internet you put tens of thousands of people together and there will be wildly different opinions!

seriously :) I think part of the reason BoG is considered "overrated" by some is because it is so hard to get, and it is so hard to get because people are booking it up right when the window opens. If it didn't have a huge fan base, there wouldn't be others telling those folks they are crazy.

Also because the price for what you get at a QS breakfast is ridiculous when you can have an AYCTE character experience for a few $$ more, but at lunch it seems to be on par with other Disney QS pricewise and has a more interesting menu and amazing atmosphere. Dinner remains to be seen with the new menu and prix fixe situation, but before it was really no more overpriced than other TS meals... plus you got the amazing atmosphere and visit with the Beast.

I liked it when we had dinner there and will probably book lunch there on our next trip.

On our last trip in 2015, we all at BOG 3 times in a single day. PPO breakfast (7DMT early access), lunch, and dinner. Dined in each of the 3 rooms.

Also did 2 more PPO breakfasts that trip. Really like PPO breakfast to get early access to take pictures, and first in line to Fantasy land rides.
