We were going to stay after check out and spend some time at the pool, but there really isn't much shade at the pool, and the main pool at the Sheraton is about three times the size, has a few shady areas and some free cabanas, so we decided to head back over there. Here are a couple more BLT photos, then I'll include a few photos from the Vistana Villages just for fun.

OK. These are from the Sheraton Vistana Villages. We were in the older section, but the unit was nicely maintained:

This photo was taken from the kitchen, obviously, and you can barely make out the dining room behind the kitchen bar, and then there is a big living room behind that. You can only see the right side of the room due to the angled wall. The master bedroom is off to the left of the living room. This was a two bedroom two bath unit. Kind of overkill for only two people, but we traded our one bedroom timeshare for this two bedroom unit, and it didn't cost anything extra for the larger unit. :)

Photo taken from the other half of the master bedroom, looking toward the dressing area/vanity half of the bedroom. There is a two person Jacuzzi, a closet, long vanity with one sink, then a separate bathroom with another vanity, toilet and shower/tub.

Part of the main pool area. There is more to the left that is cut off, which is an area for swimming laps and a water volleyball setup. Further to the right around the side of the waterfall is a zero entry area for kids with jets of water in the center where they can splash around. There is a quiet pool behind the main pool, and two other decent size pools elsewhere in the resort, one of which has a waterslide, but I don't think it's nearly as tall as the slide at BLT.

Photo of the building we were in. The units all appear to have some sort of a water view over manmade ponds. It's pretty and relaxing, but obviously can't hold a candle to a Bay Lake view, much less an MK view. ;)

This timeshare usually has unused units for rent so is available even without doing a timeshare trade. It might be a good option for someone wanting to extend their vacation a few days. We enjoyed both resorts as they each have their strong points.

Next trip, we'd like to try a couple days at AKV. We like the exotic vibe of that resort, but I have a real weakness for the Magic Kingdom area resorts, and no trip is complete without riding the monorail and the boats around to resort hop at the WL, CR, Poly and GF. One of the best things about BLT is that pretty much any room you get has a great view. I wouldn't have been the least disappointed to have gotten a lake view room as we originally booked, but I must say that the MK view turned out to be a very memorable treat!

Have thought about staying at the Vistana in the past, but was discouraged because of exterior entrances to the rooms. Are there any units that have interior hallways and entrances? Thanks, your pictures are great.

I don't think any of the phases have buildings with interior hallways. Actually, I think that is not common with timeshare condos because they are usually too big to have two deep within the width of the building. They usually extend from froint to back, straight through so you have windows on both ends of the unit. I believe I read that these particular two bedroom units were 1080 SF. It looked more like 1200 - 1300 to me. You could live comfortably full time in a unit this size.

have stayed in Sheraton Vistana Resort - actually like them better. they are closer to WDW>=:lmao::cool1::thumbsup2

A three bedroom for one person, that's decadent! :rotfl2: We usually trade our one bedroom unit for two bedrooms, and we tell ourselves we'll invite friends along. Usually, the friends never have time to vacation and we end up with the extra space. I like getting the 2 bd units, though, since sometimes it's not just an extra bedroom, it's a matter of the whole unit being much larger, plus you get the extra bathroom that you don't always get with a one bedroom. I like having a second bathroom if only to have more space to hang wet towels and swimsuits. :)

thank you for sharing your experience with us, pictures especially! what timeshare do own with, is it starwood, or was the sheraton vistana stay an exchange? :)

It was an exchange. We don't own anything in the Sheraton system.
