Blackberry Storm

Did anyone get one yet (I think it just came out today), if so curious to see how you like it so far? good/bad I ordered one but it won't be here until the 2nd week of December if its reviews are not that great I may cancel?

DH was supposed to go get his today (the store called...it's in), but he has to wait until Monday because he has to synch his email with his corporate email. Whatever that means.

DBF has been talking about it since he heard about it over the summer. He had to order one as well, but has self proclaimed it "the best phone ever".

I hope it is This will be my first phone with all the bells and whistles. It looks pretty cool with lots of functions the big task will be learning everything it does.

He has a "boring" Blackberry now and has been talking about how it's got an HD screen and can be on email and all these instant message things at the same time. I have a palm centro and he hated that I had a touch screen before him. But I have to admit I love all the bells and whistles and find that I use a lot of the stuff on it.

You might check the Crackberry site; there's a forum there dedicated to Storm users and there have been TONS of user reviews posted. I've been looking at it (despite the fact that I just got a Bold a week ago ), but it's apparently had some bugginess issues, or at least it had yesterday. Apparently, Verizon was going to have a firmware update later in the day that was supposed to take care of some of the problems, but I never logged back in to check to see what had come of that.

Just an FYI for everyone I called the customer service from my cell and I have to say I don't think I would have gotten such a good deal if I had went to the Verizon Store. I got free minutes and and additional $50 ontop of the rebate off so anyone thinking about it may want to go through customer service.

Well I went to Verizon tonight with every intention of getting a Storm. Then I played with it. I couldn't make it go for the life of me. I ended up getting a curve instead. It will meet my needs and it's plenty complex. In fact, I have a feeling it will take me a while to get used to it.

My partner is a corporate conference, but had spoken with Verizon and was on the waiting list for a phone. The store nearest to us had received only 10 phones, so they said they would ship one that would arrive Wednesday or Thursday. Imagine my surprise when Fedex came today.

I told Corey that it came and even offered to drive into downtown Atlanta to take it to her today, but she said that she's so busy that it's impossible for her to enjoy the new "toy", so just keep it here safe at home.

We both have the LG enV. We love the phone, but since Corey has an older model Blackberry for work and wanted a better web browser function on her personal phone, she decided that this was the phone for her. We have been on Blackberry Storm watch for awhile and had been keeping a very close eye on Crackberry.com's forums for any and all info about the Storm.

I am glad that it's here, but this means that Thanksgiving might as well be renamed StormDay at our house.
