Biscuit's Grand Adventure | An epic tale three decades in the making!

Awesome! Jordan needs a flat Wikers soundtrack! Meet me in St. Louis was another good one. I always picture Judy Garland when I hear "Clang, Clang, Clang went the Trolley"

That's our fam. fave, but around here tis the put your hands together under the chin routine and crank out, some "meet me in st. louis, louis..." :rolleyes1

but then my 7 year old chimes in with the, "I was drunk last night, dear mother, I was drunk the night before...". If she does it in Walmart after we get back, I may the CSD on my case.

Reminds me, it's time to watch it in our Christmas line up. Love that "Have Yourself a Merry, Little Christmas..." . Truth be known, I love anything Judy sings.

Oh GB, I too have respiratory issues though not as severe as yours. I had severe bronchitis every year for 4-5 years when I was a teen. My doctor said it has compromised my respiratory system. Anytime the winds kick up, I feel like dying and get extremely tired. Fires, which are common here, are NOT good. I feel your pain.

I love the MUSIC from musicals, but have never really loved them as a form of entertainment. I keep trying. I saw Wicked a few years ago and I did like it, but I still am not a fan. The music, however, is always, always has a huge impact on me. Les Miz for sure! I love the TV show Glee as well.

Glad you had a good Thanksgiving.

I'm listening to On my Own right now.

:lol2: That would make for right fine Wal-mart entertainment right there!

On My Own is a great one. I think my fav Les Mis song is A Little Drop of Rain. I Dreamed a Dream is another good one. LOVE the clip on You Tube when Susan Boyle first auditioned and belted it out.

So I was up much later than normal and crashed around 11:30. Then I woke up Wide awake and figured hey, I must have awakened a few min early, guess I'll get up and start the day. So I look at the clock and its 2:15! HOLY FART KNOCK BATMAN! Which brings up the LOVELY side effect of asthma meds...insomnia. On the plus side I guess I can read a TR or two. On the bad side, it increases the likelyhood I will have to call in tomorrow which I HATE to do. We can only have 5 unsched abscences on our record at a time and each one stays on your record for a full 12 months from the day you miss. Boo to "the man" I say! Maybe I can crash after an hour or so. We shall see. Well, guess I'll go peruse some threads.

:lmao: If she's anything like my kids, she will pick the worst time possible to belt that out!

I'm a huge Judy fan too. My other fav of her's is Easter Parade.

My favorite christmas musical is White Christmas. Bing Crosby's voice makes me swoon.:lovestruc I think I was born about 40 years too late.

A few years back, we bought the White Christmas box set which includes a CD full of Bing Christmas music. We had it playing when we put the tree up.

I think I've watched that clip about 35 times. She is quite amazing!

Me too! Music today (except the musicals) doesn't (can't) showcase a great voice like the music then. It's just not written to showoff the talent. So sad!

Very true. I love the old 30's & 40's tunes. Some of my favorites are from Phil Harris. (Later known as the voice of Baloo, Thomas O'Malley, and Little John.)

We love anything Judy. I can relate to you All7OfUs. My 3 year old belts out "We will dance the pootsie pootsie and I'll be your hoochie coochie." ;) My fave Judy song believe it or not is her recording of the song Savoy.

Meet Me in St Louis was the movie of the month at our house last month. The month before it was Singin in the Rain. This month so far is White Christmas. I agree Winkers, I love his voice. On a side note, my dh's grandfather used to deliver mail to Mr Crosby. On occasion, Mr Crosby would greet him with drinks in hand on a hot summer day and they would chit chat. He used to play pranks on him also. One day he walked up to the driveway and found Mr Crosby laying on the ground in the yard. He thought he was dead and ran over in a panic to help him, yelling for help. Mr Crosby jumped up, scaring the heck out of dh's grandfather. There are other stories too.

Another one I love is Sunset Blvd. She is soooo creepy. My dh's fave is Les Miserables. He can sing every song on that CD without missing a beat.

Enjoying your TR GB . Hoping your asthma settles down and you are able to relax.

I actually have a copy of Savoy loaded on iTunes!

Love him too. I remember watching an old movie with him in it. I love big band movies. I kept listening to that voice wondering where I had heard it, once I realized it was Baloo I had to look him up in the encyclopedia (long before computer days).

Might I suggest for your listening pleasure: OTR Perk.
