Birthday Celerbration Mom & Son:Sept 24~30 *Last Day Le Cellier Complete!*

I've read/heard nothing but good things about WPE, but I've never been there. I'll have to keep that place in mind for future trips!

The food at WPE looks delicious! Definitely an amazing use of a CS credit ;) I will have to check it out sometime!

Enjoying your reviews. We think WPE is the best CS in WDW, we didn't get a chance to eat there this trip but hopefully will next time. The creme brûlée cheesecake looks really good.

I also think WPE is the best CS in WDW. I really love the fact that they serve in real china and utesils as to disposables. The creme brulee was really good but I liked the cheesecake better!

We have never been to WPE (we did WP when it first opened). The food looks yummy.

You should try WPE sometime. It's the best CS in WDW IMHO. Nothing is pre-made so everything tastes very fresh and great!

I agree that WPE is a great CS place and value for money :thumbsup2

The food looks yummy - a shame that a bit of the pizza was burnt but it looks good regardless.

I thought about sending it back but it was just one slice and we were hungry so we just ate it. :)

I love WPE! Your DS's pizza looks YUMMY!

DS is a pizza snob and he refuses to get pizza in other CS.

You've got to try WPE! I really think that WPE is the best CS in WDW. I really wanted return but we didn't get to. Next trip, I'm going to make an effort to eat there at least twice!!!

WPE is the best place to burn your CS credits. Our meal was over $70  and I was thinking that's usually the price for TS breakfast buffet/TS lunch cost for three.

Did I mention that this day was really hot? I mean, it was just so hot that I could feel that my skin was getting burnt. So we went down to the pool to cool down alittle. All of us agreed that we should take a nap before the party to get re-energized. I slept for maybe 40 minutes and DS and DCuz could not get up so I let them sleep and cancelled our Plaza Restaurant ADR. I woke them up around 5pm (which they took about 2 hour nap), and got them ready. DS was complaining that he was hungry so we decided to stop at Poly and get him some sushi at Kona Island Sushi Bar.

CIMG4131.jpg

This was set up at MK parking booths. Soon we reached Poly and quickly ordered DS's choice of sushi, which was California Luau Roll - Fresh Jumbo Lump Crab, Pineapple and Avocado - $12.99

CIMG4136.jpg

He also ordered Sprite for drink. There were lots of people in costumes eating in Kona and Ohana. DS gave a piece of his roll and tasted excellent. They used real crab meat (lots of places use fake/process ones). DS was happy with his choice and ate all of it and said that he could hold for 2~3 hours. The total bill here came out to be $16.50 using TiW Card so 18% automatic gratuity is included.

I know this is DR, but want to share with you some party pictures. When we got to the party, it was around 5:40 and we started to walk towards Frontier Land. We all wanted to meet Seven Dwarves. First we stopped at Sunshine Tree Terrace and got another orange slushie.

CIMG4144.jpg

The temperature was definitely better than before but still hot. We wore our halloween t-shirts but saw many people in costumes sweating. :scared: At one point, DS loudly said that a man who was walking right infront of us stinks and sweating too much. :headache: (I pulled him aside and told him that it's not nice to comment so loundly about other people's conditions.) When we got to the exit of Splash Mt. (where Seven Dwarves meet), there were at least 10 families already line up. So while I waited, DS and DCuz rode Splash Mt, Thunder Mt, and Pirates of Carribean. They came back at 7:05pm just in time to meet the Dwarves. Here's some picture of Dwarves as they were getting ready to meet.

CIMG4146.jpg

CIMG4147.jpg

CIMG4148.jpg

The line moved quickly and we were finished by 7:20. We quickly joined a candy trail that was set up right next.

CIMG4154.jpg

CIMG4155.jpg

They had Nestle brand candies and chocolates. We didn't actively collect candies but ended up with 1 gallon zipper bag full of candies when we combined. It's getting slowly eaten up by us right now. ;)

BTW, when we came out of Splash Mt exit area, the line of the Dwarves was at least mile wrong and we couldn't see the end. :scared1: We were just glad that we got there early and invested an hour of wait. I think the wait could have been at least 2 hours!!!

We went to the dance party to meet some Toy Story characters and than Haunted Mansion to get the famous ghost shot. We were still in Frontier section by the time the first parade started so we quickly grabbed an empty place near Pecos Bill and watched the parade. We actually wanted to eat at this poinst but decided to watch the parade and eat afterwards. It was the BEST parade ever. The music, characters and cast, dancing, everything fit together!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 It was definitely worth the cost of tix, just to see the parade. There was no line ordering and we ordered two Deluxe 1/3 lb. Angus Cheeseburger - Topped with Bacon, onion rings and BBQ sauce. Served with french fries - $9.29 each.

CIMG4158.jpg

CIMG4159.jpg

We used the topping bar and added lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. There were lots of empty seats and we found a quiet corner seat by windows. We talked about the characters and parade while we ate.

The burger was juicy and good! The onion ring made the burger too thick so we took it out and ate it separately. I shared with DS and a half of a burger was big enough to fill both of us. The french frieds were freshly made and tasted good also. We also got a yogurt and Chocolate cake for dessert. Ewww. Chocolate Cake was disgustingly sweet and doughy. :scared: We all had a taste and grossed out by it. We used 2 CS credits but the cost was $31.25.

We did everything we wanted and were on Monorail by 10:20pm. When we arrived at Poly, they announced that this was the last monorail and you need to take a bus from there to your final destination (it was 10:30pm).

We were at MNSSHP on the 27th as well. We waited 90 minutes for the 7 men and we won't do it again (last year it was 40 minutes maybe). We've done the party twice now, and it is enough. We've not been to Pecos Bills since 2007 and it was pretty bad, but I think we should give it another try on a future visit.

Pecos Bill looks quite good. I may try it on our MVMCP night. I have not decided yet where to have a quick bite, but your review is making me lean towards Pecos.

I had to laugh at your pickle picture...DH is a pickle lover and when we go to Peco Bills his plate looks like pickles and nothing else!

I actually have not been to Pecos since 2003. I wasn't really expecting much but we were hungry and that was closest CS that was open at the time. However, I was surprised that the burger was quit good. :goodvibes

I'm assuming that MVMCP is just like MNSSHP and there are not many CS open. I think Cosmic Rays and Pecos were the only ones open and Pecos had their usual full menu available but Cosmic Rays only had their Burgers (Bay 2) available so not much variety as to what you could eat.
We didn't expect much from this place so we were quit satisfied that our burgers were good. :thumbsup2

DS is the one who loves pickles in our household. He ate the ones on the picture and got some more and ate them all up!!! But his favrorite kind is dill type pickles.

Love the MNSSHP update and it is bringing back memories - we attended on the 23rd and also went to Peco Bills for something to eat :thumbsup2

We got up early again. We didn't go to Disney to sleep in, did we? We were out the door by 7:30AM. We had an early breakfast ADR (8:05am) at Tusker House this morning. When we got to the turnsile, we were 2nd family there for the early breakfast. After quick pictures by Tree of Life, we ckecked-in. We maybe waited 3 minutes before our buzzer went off and took a picture with Donald and led to our table.

CIMG4170.jpg

CIMG4172.jpg

Our server quickly got our drinks and we helped ourselves with food.

CIMG4176.jpg

CIMG4174.jpg

CIMG4175.jpg

We were actually one of the first people on the buffet table. Everything was hot and fresh. I mainly ate fruits. All fruits were ripe and sweet. The scrambled eggs were soft and good. I think on my second plate, I tried Frittata, glazed ham and casserole but I didn't bother taking pictures after our first plate. All the food tasted very good. The characters first came to our room and I was busy taking pictures of them with DS. :cutie:

Our server was efficient and came around often to collect our empty plates and fill our drinks. We were finished and paid our bill by 8:40. We used 3 TS credits and bill was $73.45.

Only at Disney would you be excited about getting up early and being out the door for 7.30am! :lmao:

I'm glad you enjoyed Tusker House - the food looks yummy!

We did every ride we planned and saw both Nemo and Lion King show and were finished by noon. :thumbsup2 Our ADR for Yak and Yeti was at 12:45pm so we check-in. Now this was the only ADR that I couldn't change from party of 2 to party of 3. However, they had no problem accomodating.

CIMG4243.jpg

CIMG4244.jpg

The waiting room were you check-in. We maybe waited for about 5 minutes before we were led upstairs by a window seat. The first picture of Y&Y, top left window was where we were seated. We enjoyed people watching!

CIMG4248.jpg

CIMG4245.jpg

CIMG4250.jpg

DS wanted pot-stickers from appetizer. So we decided to order a couple of appetizer and only two main entree and share among three.

CIMG4255.jpg

Pot-stickers ($8.49) were tasty. It was much better than Kimono's version. DS ate most of it.

CIMG4256.jpg

Wok-Fried Green Beans - battered green beans, sweet Thai chili dipping sauce. They have two versions of this. One is on appetizer menu and much bigger in portion. This one we ordered was from side menu and smaller in portion ($4.99). This was crunch outside and soft inside. The dipping sauce was tasty and went well with the beans.

DCuz ordered Crispy Mahi Mahi - filet of mahi mahi, Japanese bread crumbs, Cantonese sweet and sour sauce, jasmine rice, stir-fried vegetables $22.99

CIMG4259.jpg

It was ok. He felt that mahi mahi was over fried and little too hard so just ok. He wished he should have got Malasian Seafood Curry instead.

I ordered Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp - skirt steak, tempura-battered shrimp, jasmine rice, stir-fried vegetables, chili plum dipping sauce $25.99

CIMG4257.jpg

This was good!!! :thumbsup2 The steak was little too well done for my taste but it was still good. The fried shrimps were tasty and Jasmin rise was good also. This was such a big dish!!! I shared this is DS and this was huge as we couldn't finish all.

Now onto our desserts.

DCuz ordered Fried Wontons - Skewers of fresh pineapple and cream cheese wontons, vanilla ice cream, honey vanilla drizzle $7.99

CIMG4261.jpg

I thought this would be too heavy after full meal but it was surprisingly light and great! It was definitely a winner.

I ordered Sorbet - Mango, lemon, raspberry $6.99

CIMG4260.jpg

DS really enjoyed this and it was light and refreshing. I especially liked mango and raspberry.

We used 2 TS credits and paid OOP for our appetizers. Our server did not charge us extra drink we ordered. Bill total was $75.95 but after 2TS credits, we paid $14.36 plus $15 tip.

Yak and Yeti was a great choice and we really enjoyed our meal. It was such a hot day, we were glad that we took the break and ate in an air conditioned place. We will definitely return here in the future.

After lunch we did Maharajah Trek and Pagani Forest Tril, and used our FP for Expedition Everest. Along there, somewhere, DS cashed in another snack credit ($3.93) for Frozen Blue Raspberry slushie from Drinkwallah. Yuk!!! He had a sip and refused to drink it and I tried it and it taste like a cold medicine syrup! :scared: We didn't even bother taking a picture. I guess my advice is stay with traditional Coke slushie.

We ate at Pecos Bill's... but had the taco salad, not the burger. The taco salad was good, but those burgers look really good!

I've been to Y&Y before. We had lunch there last year... very good food, and I love the restaurant's theme!

I'm glad you enjoyed Tusker House - the food looks yummy!

I always say that you don't go to Disney to rest and sleep. Disney is a trip not a vacation! You actually need a vacation after Disney. :rotfl:

Burger at Pecos was really good. But we were hungry and anything would have tasted good at that point! :rotfl2:

Y&Y has one of the best theming. Hostess said that everything in the restaurant is authentic (nothing is replica). I was very impressed! Food was also good.

Great review. This is a new ressie I have for our trip next month and I love the pictures of the interior. I cannot wait to try it :thumbsup2

This was surprisingly a good restaurant. I loved the authentic decorations of Y&Y! After our meal, we took time and walked around to see different artifacts. :goodvibes

We were out of AK by 3pm. We were there longer than I planned but it seems like that's what happened every day. :lmao: After our little nap in the room, we got ready to head to DTD for Cirque du Soleil. I watched the show twice on my previous trips but it was DS and DCuz first time. They both enjoyed the show and thought that it was worth the tix price. :thumbsup2 We hurried out after the show to our dinner ADR at Ohana's. :yay:

I checked us in at 7:50 for our 8:15 ADR. The hostess told me that they were running late and it could be 30 minute wait. We quickly found us seats and relaxed and DCuz ordered first of his drinks. I think he ordered Mint Mohito (no picture, sorry). We really waited at least 30 minutes before our buzzer lighted up!

We were shown to the same table we sat earlier for our breakfast!!! This was a great seat since we could see Wishes perfectly from the table! If you noticed from my previous reviews, I don't really remeber our server's names. I always had a good service at every TS restaurant this trip but I'm not good with names and no one really stood out. However, Khadees was superb!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 He was always right on time for everything and so pleasant! He had several tables and he was just pleasant all around!

We told him that we were starving and he started bringing food right away! DCuz asked for Khadees' recommendation for Hawaiian beer and this was brought.

CIMG4287.jpg

DCuz loved this beer. It was nice amber beer without the full taste without acidity. I actually took a couple sips. ;)

CIMG4283.jpg

The pineapple-coconut bread was ok. I'm not crazy about carbs so I had a small bite and waited for other food!

CIMG4284.jpg

Salad was very good! :thumbsup2 Honey lime dressing was yummy and veges were fresh!

CIMG4285.jpg

The dipping sauces:
House Made Peanut Sauce
Chimichurri Sauce
Pineapple Sweet and Sour Sauce
They all tasted good but we didn't use most of it. All the meat and shrimp tasted fine on their own without the sauce.

CIMG4289.jpg

Egg Noodles tossed in a peanut sauce with pineapple, Honey Coriander Chicken Wings, Pork fried dumplings, and broccoli. None of really like the egg noodles. It was too well done and too sweet for our taste. Port fried dimplings were meh! It was too blend and too greasy. We all liked honey Coriander chicken. The sauce was very yummy and chicken was moist and tender despite messiness.

This is where I stopped taking photos. Wishes started and I really wanted to eat and enjoy watching Wishes. All the meat came... pork, chicken, steak and shrimp. We enjoyed steak and shrimp the best. Port had strong ginger taste and it was very over powering the meat. Chicken was little too dry for our liking. The steak was tender and tasty! The shrimp was also cooked to right tenderness without being rubbery.

We were so~~~ full by this time but couldn't pass up Ohana's famous bread pudding!!! It was very good but we only had couple spoonful each. We were just too stuffed to enjoy it.

We used 3 TS credits for this meal. The total bill was $119 (1 beer and 1 cocktail with TiW discount). Kahdees quickly brought our final bill and we left him $30 tip. DCuz said that this was the best meal. He really loved the food, atmostphere and our server Khadees. At this point, he was completely sold by Disney and was talking about bringing his future family down. I think I did very good job of converting DCuz into Disneyholic. :lmao:

Ohana's is always fun and good food. We will return again, perhaps not immediately but sometime in the future.
