Biggest Loser Purple Team - Week 7!

I have a 2.2 pound loss for the week! :banana: I'm very excited - it's taken me a while to "recover" from vacation...

If it's okay with everyone I'll start the week 8 thread tomorrow and update it with losses as people post. How about an exercise challenge for next week?

Hi all, crazy week here too. I am down 2 lbs this week and I plan on going and joining the gym this week so I have no excuses about the cold weather. I stayed at home and gave out candy last night and I didn't even want any. I couldn't believe it. I think there must be something wrong with me. :rotfl2:
 
:bday: Laura!! Welcome to 35! It's been great for me so far.

Today I rode the bike for 50 minutes. My legs are sore from the lunges yesterday. I used really light hand weights during the lunges for the 1st time.

I had 3 pieces of candy last night. I forgot today was weigh in day. But I'm still down 1.2 lbs.

I did walk for 1 1/2 hrs with my son at least. His feet were getting tired near the end.

Great work this week!! Am not sure if we are weighing here or waiting for the 8th week thread so I will just do both! hehe

I was not sure if this was real for me this week but this has been my weight for two days so I accept it!!! This past week, which is my first full week of water aerobics as the first two were sporadic, I am down 5lbs!!! :) Yay! So close to my goal for my December trip!! hehe :)

Ok I have to get to staff meeting but I wanted to just wish everyone a great weigh in day!!!

As for me, I'm the same! :sad1: My DH is trying to cheer me up by saying I am gaining muscle. At this point I would rather see the scale move down. I've got 28 more pounds to go to get to my goal, and I would love to be there by spring.

Everyone have a great day. My wonderful husband is coming home for lunch so I can take a walk/run by myself. I tend to go very slowly if I push a stroller. I also think he wants me to get some laundry done during the baby's morning nap so I better get going!
 
I'm up .6lbs this week. It wasn't a surprise to me at all considering it was a bad week. I must have forgotten how to add up points this last week. :confused3 Back on the wagon today.
 
Hey Purple Team! Not much to report this week. Just .5 pound down this time. I really need to get moving more! I did get in 3 miles yesterday.

We live in Chesterfield! Just one town over. :) I agree about West County. We are in an older, established neighborhood so it has been harder to make friends here. Not many kids either.

Yep - I go to Big Barnes downtown. I guess you did too. :) HUGE place! I like my doctor - just not the office staff. I still haven't gotten my test results back from my MRI and it will be 3 weeks on Thursday!

My medication causes some pretty severe side effects - flu like symptoms, headaches, nausea, fever, extreme fatigue... I have prescription pain meds and prednisone that I take on a weekly basis (just Sundays and Mondays) and it no longer takes me until Wednesday or Thursday to feel back to normal. :) That's a great thing because the cycle begins again on Sundays. Anyway, that's how my meds have affected my ability to lose weight. I have to get this body moving again, like it used to, so I can drop these pounds!!

i just worked out for 25 minutes..i just weighed myself....i dont remember what i was at last week haah..but im down to 148, which is a total of 7 pounds since we started!! :cool1:
 
I lost a pound this week, which surprises me as I did not exercise last night or tonight.....and I had a few pieces of Halloween candy,

I just stayed up late to watch Biggest Loser! Wow, got me teary eyed at the end when they voted out Mark! He was one of my faves, but luckily Suzy & Doc are still in it! I cannot believe how good Mark looked in his current video. And next week they are singles, maybe they are following us?? hehe! Too bad Biggest Loser is not on ABC, we could let em know about our Disney lovin team and get up to profile all the successes here! :)

Good morning purple team!!

I just wanted to pop in real quick to see how everyone is doing and it looks like everyone is doing great. We've had some great losses this week!! Congratulations!!!!

I gained back the 3 pounds I lost last week. I have been fighting this same 5 pounds for months now. I did get in a 2 mile walk yesterday (33 minutes) and plan to do the same today. I wanted to add another mile last night but with the time change it was starting to get dark on me.

Mike - last nights show got me teary eyed to but Mark looks absolutely wonderful. I think my jaw dropped to the floor when I saw his video.

Everyone keep up the great work.

TammyNC - great job staying even during Halloween!! :)

Mike - I completely changed my opinion on Mark during last weeks show and ended up liking him. I was crying when they got to see their family members...that would be so hard to see them for 10 minutes and then have to leave...I totally related to what Bob said about Andrea and having to keep her away from food during that time. :rolleyes: I was shocked at the weigh in when she only lost 1 pound and he only lost 2 - the way they're working out it was actually good for me to see that, it made it "okay" for me to lose that. Sounds a like crazy but... :blush: And yes Mark looked GREAT!! He doesn't even look like the same person! Oh an Mike - awesome job on 5 pounds down! :cheer2:

Helen - congrats on the pound! :cheer2: That just proves that all your work is paying off - you can miss a few days and you've still got your metabolism going because you're stronger now and have more muscle mass from all your walks. WTG! :banana:

BlueEyes - 7 pounds gone - that's fantastic!! :Pinkbounc

Terry - we lived at Baxter and Clarkson. Do you ever go to Queeny Park to walk? The trails there are great! The hills killed me though. :) Yep I went to Barnes for my scans - parking was the worst! I think I got lost on every visit. For my monthly visits I had a doc at Barnes West. How old are your kids? We're actually planning a trip to WDW for next year w/friends in Ballwin. Small World huh? :rotfl:

MinnieMouseMom - WTG with the exercise! You've got to be getting very toned!!

ndscramper - lol about forgetting how to add up points! :goodvibes .6 isn't bad, that will easily be off this week (once you remember how to add :rotfl: )

K&K'sMommy - cheer up - your hubby is right! As long as your eating is reasonable, you've been exercising consistently and building up your muscles. Next week you'll see a loss again, probably bigger than you've had for a while. :banana: And remember no loss is also no gain! :earboy2:

Mountaineer - my feet would have been tired after 1 1/2 hours too! :earseek: Lunges always kill my thighs when I start them, but they are one of the best things you can do - WTG! Congrats on your 1.2 pound loss - that's awesome!! :banana:
