Hello everyone...
It's your wayward sportschick checking in for the first time on the new thread. Sorry I've been MIA all week, but work's been nuts. Fall in the sports department is generally bad, but when county/district/state playoffs get hopping... Very, very bad.
At any rate I celebrated my 35th birthday this fine Halloween day. My present to myself this year was to renew my long-lapsed gym membership. Now hopefully I can find time to use it.
Seriously, I figured that the weather getting colder/ickier was the perfect excuse to do it. Now I have no reason, barring 34 inches of snow, not to go someplace to exercise.
As an added bonus, I got on the scale today (a day early, I know, but I needed to wrap up the October challenges) and found it had budged another 2.4 pounds south! That brings me to 11.4 down since I began taking this weight loss thing more seriously Sept. 1. I have a long way to go, but hopefully I'm headed in the right direction.
I guess you all have been reintroducing yourselves, too? Laura in a nutshell: Sportswriter/editor who likes cheesesteaks, bar food and beer far too much. Married (1 year Oct. 30) to the inimitable SkipperBubba

. No small people skulking about the house. For the first time, we have two WDW trips on the table: first full week in December at AKL and end of April at the Beach Club. My fave ride's the Haunted Mansion, his is Pirates of the Carribean. Rock-n-Roller Coaster a close second for both. Gee, I can't think of anything else at the moment. Guess I'm pretty boring.
Well, the Skipper is calling, so I will sign off for now. Hope everyone else is having a good week!
Cheers,
Laura
